Presentation

The Stunt is designed for Surf-Freestyle in competition.

Its compact shape dedicated to tricks makes it ultra-maneuverable with a huge pop, with a lot of forgiveness on landings, and an amazing ability to come on foil for such a short shape. It’s the board to stomp tons of tricks in no time.

Designed for the Pro Team, the Stunt was developed to nail the most extreme tricks and world-firsts, enabling rapid progression and optimizing clean landings during competitions.

Not only does the Stunt excel in freestyle performance, but its maneuverability and compactness also make it an excellent board for surfing with a modern and aerial style. A must for a surf-freestyle competition with wind and waves for example.

This new shape greatly enhances its ability to come on foil. The pop and repop are made easier by much softer rails at the nose and a super-gliding hull at the tail. The first impression of this version is that it feels stiffer than the previous one. It's just waiting to jump.

To further optimize this amazing freestyle board, we've developed a new pad exclusively for the Stunt. The new Shock Traction Pad is a real game-changer in terms of control and comfort for freestylers of all levels. This new grip ensures perfect contact and hold with the board, while the superior cushioning protects both the rider and the board when landing jumps.

Inspired by the best pads for windsurfing wave boards, the new Shock Traction Pad is a true game changer in terms of control and comfort for freestylers of all levels.

Whether you’re performing your first 360s or tackling a front flip from over 10 meters high, having complete confidence in the grip of your pad is crucial to avoid unintentionally coming out of the straps.

The new grip ensures a firm and perfect contact with the board.

With a total of 8 mm of cushioning underfoot, the thickness of the Shock Traction Pad provides unparalleled comfort for a wing foil board. Landings in wing foiling are less traumatic for both the rider and the board.

3D shapes on modeling software.

Epoxy resin and EPS foam blank: solid and lightweight.
Deck, hull, and rails in vacuumed PVC sandwich: incomparable strength and incredible dynamism.
Deck: Full sandwich with a PVC core material, on a layer of 4oz fiberglass for flexibility, and one layer of 6oz carbon fiber on the outside. Additionally, there are fiberglass reinforcements in sensitive areas.
Hull: Full sandwich with a PVC core material, on a layer of 4oz fiberglass for flexibility, and one layer of 6oz carbon fiber on the outside. Additionally, there are fiberglass reinforcements in sensitive areas.
Specific foil reinforcements: high-density PVC block housing the two US rail boxes. Four layers of carbon cover the boxes. Laminated PVC slats connect the reinforcement to the deck for maximum durability.
Laminated PVC stringers connect the foil box reinforcement to the deck for durability.
Carbon reinforcements at the strap inserts, under the heels, and the footstep area.
Rails: the PVC sandwich structure completely covers the rails: increased structural strength, very good shock resistance (paddle, knee and harness hook impacts).

For whom?

Do you have a strong desire for freestyle? Do you love to challenge yourself? Not afraid of a crash or two?
For this, you need to have a sufficient skill level:

Either you have significant experience in wing foiling (let’s say you master jibes and are starting to tack).
Or you know how to pilot a foil very well (for example, from kite foiling).
Or you have a background in windsurfing: that helps a lot in handling the wing and standing up.

In any case, the Stunt is demanding to get the best out of it.

In a large volume, it is easy (your weight +10), but if you choose a volume suitable for your weight (= or less than your weight), staying on your knees in choppy water won’t be easy at all. So, you need to be in very good physical condition and have a few hundred hours of flight time on the foil.
This is clearly the board for those who want to maximize the potential of freestyle in wing foiling.

For what?

The Stunt is a pure freestyle board, with optimal takeoff and record-breaking pop.

Born to execute the biggest tricks, it has no limits. It’s like a true ping pong ball!

Ideal for tricks, it really shines in surfing, especially in onshore or side-on conditions with messy waves.

The Ypra Surf-Freestyle: The ultimate freestyle combo.

For experienced freestyle riders who love aggressive carves at high speeds. It is the key to the craziest tricks and wild combos. Be careful, as this front wing combined with a freestyle stabilizer turns your ride into a kangaroo rodeo! Stability is the opposite of what it is designed for!

The Fluid H: the combo of maneuverability and speed. Perfect for making tight turns, going fast, gliding, and having a very responsive foil. With a very powerful pop added to that, it’s a foil that can truly go anywhere you want, both in the water and in the air!

Which stabilizer?

Combinations:

Ideally, we recommend pairing a Curve H stabilizer with your Curve H front wing, as these two elements are designed for the same purpose and optimized to work in perfect harmony.
However, you can also tailor your stabilizer choices to your preferences. A Curve stabilizer on a Veloce FW will give you a foil that’s carrying, maneuverable, relatively fast, and has excellent glide. Pair a Fluid stabilizer with the Veloce FW, and you’ll have slightly less maneuverability but much more speed while maintaining a strong front foot. Put a Veloce stabilizer on the Veloce FW, and you'll experience the ultimate glide, with a very smooth feel.

Size:

The ideal size will depend on your board, skill level, weight, spot conditions, and front wing.

We’ve calculated all stabilizer and front wing pairs so that, for example, an M is ideal with an M in all models.

But you can also play with the size:

A larger size (L for FW M) will give you more front foot support, firmer footing, less liveliness, and reduced speed. It's reassuring but less performance-oriented.
A smaller size (S for FW M) will offer less stability, more responsiveness, greater acceleration, and more radical performance. Highly effective but somewhat unstable.

Note that instability can also be an advantage—for pop, of course, and for surfing to some extent. The positive side of instability is its reactivity. It's up to you to decide if that’s what you’re aiming for.

2 US GONG Double Entry boxes for standard foil plates equipped with 4 screw + nuts (9cm center distance). Compatible with our SCS system. This new system allows ultra-fast assembly, without having to unscrew nuts completely, of GONG foils and many other brands (our boxes are standard). (SCS insertsnot supplied with the board).
5 x 3-hole footstrap inserts to optimize your position.
1 x large light double V-shaped front footstrap and 1 x large light rear footstrap (screws included).
Shock Traction Pad for even more comfort and control.
GONG carrying handle integrated in the center of the board on the hull.
Leash plug to never lose your board.
Automatic vent screw.

*2 extra holes on each insert block are hidden by the pad, but already drilled to allow for more extreme stances. In other words, inserts have in reality 5 holes by default, of which only the three central holes are visible. Exception for the Stunt, where the three most setback holes are visible.
