Protecting your foil is essential when traveling in search of new spots.

The various components (front wing, stabilizer, mast, and fuselage) are fragile and prone to damage due to their thin profiles, which are designed for maximum performance. Leaving a foil in direct sunlight can also damage the gear—just like your skin—so protecting it from UV rays with a cover is the best habit to adopt.

The transport covers we offer are high quality and meet these needs to ensure better gear longevity.

Properly protecting your foil during transport—by bike, car, or plane—is crucial, as most damage happens out of the water. Additionally, you're responsible if someone else gets injured by your foil in the street or on the beach. Using a cover helps avoid harm to yourself and others.

GONG foil covers

GONG FOIL BAG
The perfect cover to carry your disassembled foil and store each part carefully, for daily use or travel.
With 10mm foam on all sides, it offers excellent protection.
Multiple padded compartments let you store several front wings or accessories like stabilizers, masts, fuselages, etc.
There's also a zipped pocket under the flap for screws and your tightening tool.
Available in four sizes: S, M, L, and XL.
Choose your size based on the largest front wing and your mast size.
Perfect to protect and organize all foil components (except monobloc masts) in one adjustable bag.

GONG FOIL CARBON MAST COVER
Equipped with 5mm foam, this cover protects your monobloc daily.
Velcro openings along the mast and fuselage help with storage and keep everything in place.

Available in three sizes:

S (70 cm)
M (85 cm)
L (100 cm)

Note: does not protect the top plate.

This is a must-have, and can be paired with the GONG FOIL PLANE BAG MANTA for full protection during boat travel, for instance.

This bag protects your foil “plane” (front wing + fuselage + stab) in one piece.

With 5mm foam and reinforced tips, it protects your setup wherever you go.
When buying a complete aluminum foil V2 from GONG, it comes in a well-designed, durable bag. But many prefer to keep the foil assembled between sessions.

In that case, the Manta Bag is the best way to save time getting back in the water.
Available in 3 sizes: M, L, XL.
We recommend pairing it with the GONG FOIL CARBON MAST COVER for complete protection.

How to Maintain Your Boardbag

Sand, salt, and moisture clog and corrode zippers—the main cause of boardbag failure.

To extend your cover’s lifespan, we recommend rinsing the zipper regularly with fresh water, even if it's salt-resistant. The same care should be given to wetsuit zippers.

You can also use Zip Care on your zippers. This maintenance product is perfect for plastic and metal zippers. Its unique brush applicator allows you to apply the product between the zipper teeth and physically remove dirt, salt residue, and dust.

A must-have to stay watertight in all conditions!
