SUP Technos

All GONG experience on SUP boards

We currently offer two technologies for our rigid SUP boards, FSP 2X and FSP Pro. The advantage of these two technologies is to offer a hull in full PVC sandwich. This extremely rigid, hydrophobic and solid shell surrounds the entire surface of the board.

FSP 2X SUP Technology

These boards feature our innovative, high-end FSP 2X technology for the best weight/strength/performance ratio on the market. Quite simply, it's the ultimate in custom vacuum-packed fiberglass sandwich technology, in series...

  • 3D shape on modeling software.
  • Preshape by numerical control for total reliability.
  • Shape control by traditional templates, finishing off the last mm 100% by hand.
  • 100 % epoxy resin and EPS foam blank: solid and lightweight.
  • Deck, hull, and rails in vacuumed PVC sandwich: incomparable solidity and incredible dynamism.
  • Deck: full PVC/fiberglass sandwich composed of a high-density PVC foam core and 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 6oz biaxial fiberglass, fiberglass reinforcements on the sensitive areas.
  • Hull: full PVC/fiberglass sandwich composed of a high-density PVC foam core and 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 6oz biaxial fiberglass, fiberglass reinforcements on the sensitive areas.
  • Rails: the PVC sandwich structure completely covers the rails: increased structural strength, very good impact resistance (paddle hits).
  • Integrated carrying handle in the top PVC Sandwich : limits settling, avoids breakage in the surrounding area.
  • Resin tinted hot coat : nobility of the process, weight saving and solidity of the finish.
  • Hand-made matt “custom finish” for weight saving and a better glide.

FSP PRO SUP Technology

These boards feature our innovative, high-end FSP Pro technology.

This Full Sandwich PVC full carbon offers the best dynamics while preserving strength, at an incredible weight. Quite simply, it's the ultimate in mass-produced custom sandwich technology.

  • Preshape by numerical control for total reliability.
  • Shape control by traditional templates, finishing off the last mm 100% by hand.

Inflatable FIRST Technology

The First range is an economical entry-level option. Don't mistake it for a low-cost pack from the corner supermarket! We are SUP specialists: the shape and all aspects are meticulously studied. Far from a supermarket board because an inflatable board also requires precision and reliability. As for the I-SUP range, it represents the highest quality available on the market of inflatable SUP boards.

The First boards are perfect for discovering the sport and for recreational use. But not only that, they also feature high-performance shapes. The I-SUP boards are ideal if you want to practice more intensively or indulge in the best.

The technology and certain materials used to produce the First and I-SUP boards differ. However, please note that the materials used for the First boards are still of high quality.

  • Board 100% Mirasol Dropstitch, the best material.
  • Simple layered 1000D PVC on the top and the bottom, very light weight.
  • Double layered 1000D PVC on the rails, super solid board.
  • Thickness 6″ (15cm) for the best stiffness
  • Air Pressure: 15 psi. Factory controlled at 25 psi

Inflatable COUINE MARIE Technology

Couine Marie boards
have a double thermo welded layer on the deck, hull and rails. It makes them even more rigid while still being very light.

The dropstitch used inside Couine Marie board is a Woven Dropstitch : it is the best assembly technique of the inflatable world, for best in class performance, rigidity and lightness.

  • Woven Dropstitch Double Layer Welded technology, the best compromise between weight/stiffness/strength. Combining our historical Double Layer Welded technology with the new Woven Dropstitch, this technology is by far the most reliable, lightest and stiffest.
  • Weight savings of around 20% compared to the classic Double Layer (no glue between the 2 welded PVC layers).
  • Rigidity gain of 30% compared to standard technology.
  • Strength gain: twice as thick as standard technology.
  • Double layer of PVC on the rails.
  • Triple layer central stringer on deck and hull for maximum rigidity and reduced vibration.
  • Premium Woven Dropstitch: the slightest irregularity is refused and the batch is resold to low cost factories.
  • High density Dropstitch Woven: with more threads per square meter than a basic Woven, it resists much higher pressures, lasts much longer, and does not present a risk of explosion.
  • Working pressure: 15 PSI. Our Stand Up Paddle Boards are perfectly rigid at 15 PSI. There is no need to overinflate them, but you can mount them at 20 PSI without any problem.
  • Two-year Warranty on all our Inflatable Boards.
  • We keep in stock all the elements that make up your Board because we are manufacturers. So, you can easily repair them and make them last for more than ten years. It’s as simple as repairing a bicycle wheel.

COUINE MARIE Inflatable Double Chamber Technology

With its top of the range inflatable technology in Doubled Layered Welded Woven Dropstitch, Couine Marie Double Chamber GONG boards are beautiful, light, very rigid and really solid.

Manufactured in the best factory in the world, with the densest and highest quality Woven Dropstitch, we are sure that its glue composites will last for years, without leakage or deformation.

The Couine Marie Double Chamber has a central 65L chamber to allow you to navigate in complete serenity and safety, while remaining cautious ;). In addition to increasing the rigidity of the board, this double chamber also serves as a safety float in case of damage.

Inflatable COUINE MARIE Explorer Arctic Technology

With its high-end inflatable technology in Woven Dropstitch with welded double layers and a third reinforcement layer on the hull, this GONG board is beautiful, very rigid and really solid.

The Couine Marie Explorer Arctic has a central chamber to allow you to cruise in safety with complete peace of mind, while remaining very careful 😉 In addition to increasing the rigidity of the board, this double chamber also serves as a safety float in the event of damage.

Note: When inflating the board, remember to inflate the inside chamber  first and the outside one only after. It will be impossible for you to do it the other way around, which is to  inflate the part on the inside  after having  inflated the outside chamber.
