Paddles

You have the choice between an adjustable paddle or what is referred to as a custom-made fixed paddle. If you opt for an adjustable paddle, it is generally because you are a beginner, that you alternate with a few sessions of walks in addition to surfing, or that your board is shared in co-ownership. And in this case, an adjustable paddle can have its interest.

A custom made paddle will be more beneficial if you are more in the water to surf and you know the size of paddle that fits you well, usually this will be very close to your own size. A fixed paddle will be lighter, its flex will be evenly distributed along the shaft.

In surfing, we will use a paddle to size or even a little more. On a large board like the NFA 12′ you can use a paddle at + 10 cm, if on the contrary you are aiming for more aggressive surfing on a Zero 9′ for example, a paddle at your size will be much more suitable. Hand changes are faster, and remember that the radius of your turns is partly determined by the length of your paddle.

These paddles allow you to generate significant and consistent power thanks to a design that is both flexible and dynamic. The blade is extremely fast, both during paddle strokes and while surfing, where it glides beautifully due to its convex upper surface at the tip. When paddling, the outline is powerful at the head of the profile. The underside is flat with a slight V shape, minimizing water resistance, while the rocker of the blade is highly curved at the tip. The catch is excellent.

With its 490 cm² blade, the 7" size is the preferred choice for touring, fitness, and long-distance racing.

• Surf: Suitable for lighter riders under 75 kg, or for increasing paddle stroke cadence.
• SUP foil: Ideal for riders under 65 kg.
• Downwind: Perfect for riders under 75 kg who are accustomed to fast paddling, as in SUP racing.
• Flat start: Best suited for riders under 65 kg.

Carbon Pro 8" Paddle

With its 645 cm² blade, the 8" size is ideal for surfing and versatile use.

• Surf: Suitable for riders between 75 kg and 90 kg who want more power at take-off and control on the wave.
• SUP foil: Recommended for SUP foil, offering the ideal balance between cadence and power.
• Downwind: Suitable for riders between 75 kg and 90 kg who want more power at the catch to start on any small bump.
• Flat start: Perfect for riders between 70 kg and 90 kg, seeking performance and a cardio-boosting workout.
