GONG introduces the Carbon Boom CLIP IN GFS V3, a new generation carbon boom designed to radically simplify your experience. No tools, no screws to manage, no loose parts to lose: everything is integrated into a fast, smart, ultra-reliable locking system.
Leaving your boom permanently mounted is no longer a necessity. Removing it for easier packing, more compact travel, or to optimize and save on your wing quiver is now a realistic option. The CLIP IN system makes this modularity simple, fast, and logical for everyday use.
How does the Boom CLIP IN work?
Installation is done with the wing deflated in under 30 seconds. Slide it in, flip the levers, clip and it’s locked. You hear the “click” and you’re good to go.
The stiffness of a high-end boom is fully preserved, even improved, with added simplicity. Once the wing is inflated, tension further stiffens the entire strut: zero play, zero unwanted movement, total control while riding.
Important point: the boom remains perfectly in place even with the strut deflated, just like a classic GFS V2 Boom. It must be intentionally unclipped to open. Safe if you experience a strut leak offshore, for example.
This boom is built with multi-axis prepreg carbon, delivering maximum stiffness at minimal weight. Its 22 mm oval section improves grip, reduces fatigue, and provides a direct, precise feeling, even in strong wind or during powered maneuvers.
The molded EVA grip, ergonomic and comfortable, covers the key handling zones for perfect hold, even when wet. The fiber-reinforced nylon elbows ensure strength, efficient power transmission, and long-term durability.
100% retro-compatible with all GFS wings featuring removable handles since 2023, it allows you to upgrade your wing without adapters and preserve its value.
