Technology Kite Aramid Team Series

Our kites are manufactured in one of the two best factories in the world, renowned for its exceptional and consistent quality level in the high-end kite industry.

Each step, from precise digital cutting to meticulous manual assembly, is carried out by the best specialized craftsmen.

By choosing a GONG kite, you benefit from exceptional technological quality, meticulous construction, and a rigorous selection of the best materials available on the market. Every technical detail is designed to ensure high-level performance, maximum durability, and maximum enjoyment on the water.

List of our proven materials:

  • Leading edge and battens in ultra-light, dynamic, and durable Aramid.
  • Anti-flap trailing edge belt in Dacron DP175LL.
  • High-end triple Ripstop canopy, anti-tear propagation.
  • Insigna reinforcements on the leading edge.
  • Tips saver in Nylon 1680D to resist wear from land friction.
  • Thin bridles in Dyneema FL14 ROBLINE.
  • 100% removable bridles for easy replacement of wear parts.
  • One Pump system for quick inflation and deflation.
  • Micro fiberglass battens on the trailing edge tips: lightweight and effective against wear.

On the water, this Aramid + light canopy + thin bridle combo results in a kite that is noticeably more reactive than a Dacron construction, with less inertia in its movements, reduced deformation in gusts, and a much cleaner bar feedback. You can feel the structure working efficiently: the kite stays locked in and precise, even when heavily powered, without collapsing or softening over the course of your sessions.

Wood Flex technology

Our twintips are manufactured in the best factory in Europe, which has more than 20 years of experience in twintips but also in the manufacturing of skis and snowboards for the biggest brands. This versatility gives access to all possible materials in order to create exactly the board we want.

The Wood Flex with a French biosourced resin, biaxial fiberglass and a paulownia core aims to offer the perfect flex, super light weight and impeccable durability.

  • Biaxial fiberglass 0+90°: Fiberglass for strength and durability and biaxial for the best mechanical characteristics.
  • Greenpoxy 33 resin from Sicomin, composed of 35% biosourced carbon and without CMR component to respect the environment and workers.
  • A core of paulownia wood: the best core material currently available on high-end twintips.
  • ABS rails for durability and optimal impact resistance.
  • Reinforced stainless strap inserts in marine plywood, in the paulownia core, for maximum resistance: untearable.
  • 45mm TT Fins in 33% fiberglass loaded resin with M5x20mm screws. Very resistant to abrasion and easily sandable to repair small everyday damages.
  • Hyper-resistant bottom sheet.
  • Super neat matte finish. Sober and resistant to micro scratches.

FSP 2X Kitesurf Technology

The FSP 2X technology is easily repairable when new in case of a Ding. The PVC foam of the sandwich is waterproof and prevents water from entering on everyday shocks. The EPS foam blank does not deteriorate because it is really protected from water. And the repairs have a much larger support to stick on and blend seamlessly with the surrounding material.

This technology offers, at an affordable price, the incomparable strength/lightness ratio of full vacuum PVC Sandwich.

  • 3D Shape on modeling software.
  • Preshape by the numerical control for total reliability.
  • Shape control by traditional templates, finishing of the last mm 100% by hand.
  • 100% Epoxy Board and EPS Blank Foam: solid and lightweight.
  • Deck, hull and rails in PVC Vacuumed Sandwich: incomparable strength and incredible dynamism.
  • Deck: integral PVC/Fiberglass Sandwich composed of a high-density PVC foam core and 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 6oz Biaxial fiberglass, fiberglass reinforcements on sensitive areas.
  • Hull: integral PVC/Fiberglass Sandwich composed of a high-density PVC foam core and 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass and 1 layer of 6oz Biaxial fiberglass, fiberglass reinforcements on the sensitive areas.
  • Specific Foil reinforcements: high-density PVC block housing the two US Rail Boxes. Three layers of carbon cover the Boxes. Laminated PVC slats connect the reinforcement to the deck for maximum durability.
  • Rails: the PVC Sandwich structure completely covers the rails: increased structural strength, very good shock resistance.
  • Hot Coat integrated Tinted Resin: nobility of the process, weight reduction and solidity of the finish.
  • Matt custom finish, hand-made, for weight reduction and better glide.

The HDCC revolution

Resistance and Durability:

High temperature molding provides a better bond between fibers and resin, increasing mechanical strength and durability under high stresses. The mechanical properties of the board remain stable even when exposed to high temperatures.

Lightness and responsiveness:

The full carbon prepreg lamination allows homogeneous and optimized distribution of the resin. All excess weight is removed without compromising strength. The boards are thus lighter and more efficient.

Precision:

Molds allow parts to be manufactured with ultra-precise tolerances. This improves the aerodynamics and hydrodynamics of the products.

High Density foam blank:

The foam blank used is an extremely expensive and efficient hydrophobic material used in aeronautics. It provides exceptional structural rigidity and longevity while maintaining a light weight.

Zero waste:

Unlike manual lamination which can result in excess resin and fiber, in-molded manufacturing optimizes material usage, minimizing waste and reducing the environmental footprint of production.

Low price:

The lower price compared to this exceptional technology is due to the efficiency of construction. Less human labor (about a quarter) equals lower expenses. Simply, with this board, you're primarily investing in well-assembled premium materials.
