The Ayto is our high-performance big air kite for sending very high, very far, very strong: massive jumps, kiteloops, megaloops, superloops, modern aerial tricks and high end riding.

The Ayto 2026 pushes all the big air parameters to the top.

100% performance, this exceptional kite is aimed at the most demanding and committed riders.

High ratio, redesigned bow, centered surface, hyper-rigid 5-strut kite, recentered struts, thinner and faster tips, direct 7-point bridle without pulleys: everything is optimized to go higher, turn faster and stay in total control.

The Aramid version takes this logic to the extreme. The increased rigidity and responsiveness of the structure results in a kite that performs better, goes up faster, maintains its shape under any stress, and transmits the slightest bar input. It's not just about weight: it's about complete, precise control that never blurs the bar feedback.
The Aramid DP 2026 version goes even further. The segmented double profile eliminates the internal turbulence that typically disrupts single-skin profiles. The kite remains smoother, more stable, and more consistent throughout all phases of flight. The gains are massive in hang time, zenithal stability in gusty winds, and rotational precision in loops . Combined with the carbon LDS system , which eliminates tip inertia , the result is exceptionally precise handling: the slightest bar input translates instantly into flight, without delay or distortion . This is the kind of feel usually only found on ram-air kites.

UPE Aramid revolution

A major development of the Team Series range lies in the revolutionary material of its inflatable structure.

UPE Aramid is the lightest and stiffest material on the market on selected axes. Depending on the angulation of the Aramid mesh, we control the stretching axes and release the rotation axes. This means that we have the possibility of reducing the diameters, and therefore the drag and the weight, for the same behavior. Of course our research focused on an optimal and diffused reduction to preserve the twisting qualities, which are essential to the design of a maneuverable kite, while locking the C of the shape.

The sensations in the hands are simply astonishing. The kite is both one of the stiffest and one of the lightest, while remaining incredibly maneuverable: a whole new experience of flight and precision/feeling. It’s simply incredible and perfectly in line with our desire to offer the best.

At 85g/m2 (2 times less than Dacron!), this UPE Aramid present on the leading edge and the struts ensures an unparalleled gain in reactivity.

In addition to its exceptional mechanical properties, this material also has a very low absorption rate. The kite gains very little weight when wet.And this material is also very resistant to tearing, an important point when launching on some sketchy spots.

Obviously, a superb material without perfect assembly is worthless, and we have worked in infinite detail to ensure the reliability of the technical solutions for its implementation. For this, we have tested all known assemblies on traction machines and innovated with new and exclusive assembly methods at GONG to surpass the standards. Our kites have never been so robust.

The unique feature of Aramid is that it doesn’t lock the shape of the kite. It’s ultra-light, with minimal stretch, but still allows for twist control by programming the fiber axis. The proven triple ripstop canopy, used for several years, offers perfect durability and strength at an ultra-light weight of 55g/m².

Double Profile Design

The Double Profile design is an innovation that propels the world of kiting into the future!

Not because GONG invented it, as it just makes sense and already exists in windsurfing, boating, hang gliding, in the history of kiting, and in wing foiling thanks to us. But simply because GONG has made it possible on a large scale for everyone to enjoy, thanks to 10 years of work on this concept.

Our specific concept, recorded for several years, consists of erasing internal disturbances to the simple profile by the measured addition of a segmented internal profile, which allows air and water to circulate without restriction.

The internal skin simply erases the imperfections of the kite's glide. Acting in both pressure and depression, the internal skin will tighten or relax depending on the situation. It is this dosage of tension that is revolutionary. We are not trying to make this double skin rigid like a drum: we let it play its role of glide shock absorber.

So at the zenith in very little wind, it will inflate and lock the kite, preventing it from passing behind you. Do the test by walking towards it: it holds up in the air. It’s really reassuring.

Conversely, at full power, the double skin will arch to get closer to the extrado and accelerate the kite.

This almost biomimetic adaptability is unrivaled and gives this kite flying qualities that you have never had in your hands.

Carbon LDS Tips

The tips play a major role in the behavior of your kite. By combining strong tension perfectly distributed across the entire kite with a precisely engineered internal twist of the tips under load, we have given this kite exceptional responsiveness.

On this Pro Team Series model, we have also introduced an innovation borrowed from wing design: the LDS for Low Drag System. It further refines the tip diameter for improved glide by eliminating turbulence.

This system incorporates a carbon batten inside the tip, boosting responsiveness to deliver unmatched performance levels. The back line acts directly on the carbon batten, meaning the entire wingtip is connected to your bar, with no deformation and no delay.

On the water, this Aramid + light canopy + thin bridle combo results in a kite that is noticeably more reactive than a Dacron construction, with less inertia in its movements, reduced deformation in gusts, and a much cleaner bar feedback. You can feel the structure working efficiently: the kite stays locked in and precise, even when heavily powered, without collapsing or softening over the course of your sessions.

Shape :

Design 5 lattes pour une stabilité maximale du profil, un minimum de flap de canopy, une plage d’utilisation exemplaire dans le vent fort et un contrôle total lors des sauts et autres megaloops.
Hybrid C shape : avec beaucoup de C pour un shape moderne, ultra dynamique, réactif et précis. Surface projetée portée à 65 %, arc légèrement plus ouvert que 2025 pour augmenter la vitesse, la glisse et la portance en saut.
Ratio important (5,5) vitesse accrue, hangtime énorme, ressource très solide en loop, appui stable même toilé ++.
Profil 100% performance : légèrement reculé pour maximiser la Vmax et stabiliser le kite dans la plage haute. Creux important en proportion de la corde (mais fin en valeur absolue) pour générer un lift explosif, avec une ressource très puissante en sortie de loop ou de megaloop.
Double Profil segmenté (nouveauté 2026 brevetée) a été entièrement re-travaillé. Chaque segment interne est désormais découpé et orienté pour épouser exactement la géométrie du profil externe sans générer de tensions parasites. Cette seconde peau n’est pas coupée au hasard : elle agit comme un amortisseur dynamique qui se tend ou se détend selon la charge aérodynamique. En vol, cela se traduit par une aile qui respire mieux, qui garde une forme parfaite en accélération, et qui conserve une stabilité verticale inédite en bord de fenêtre ou dans les rafales.
Creux important en proportion de la corde du profil pour de la puissance à bas régime et une bonne accroche dans les actions radicales. Mais ce creux est fin dans l’absolu puisque le ratio est important, donc avec une corde faible.
Bord d’attaque fin au centre pour une aile rapide et fine dans l’air, tout en gardant un peu de section sur les tips pour conserver de la rigidité lors de fortes sollicitations dans les moves ou en plage haute. Ça reste malgré tout assez fin aux tips pour autoriser un fort vrillage et une vitesse de rotation extrême. Un profil affiné qui optimise le vent apparent, le cap, le contrôle ; mais qui reste parfaitement rigide sans jamais poulper.
Outline big air élancé pour un maximum de glisse et de vitesse du kite.
Surface centrée : appui puissant, sustentation énorme, tips fines et rapides pour une rotation sur l’oreille ultra vive et très contrôlable.
Lattes courbes qui dynamisent les tensions, maintiennent parfaitement le profil, et conservent le shape du kite même lors des loops avec de très fortes torsions.
Congruence du double profil sur les lattes / recouvrement aérodynamique 2026 : Le recouvrement latte / double profil a été entièrement revu en 2026. Les zones de jonction sont désormais presque congruentes, avec un alignement beaucoup plus propre des tissus et un contrôle de tension perfectionné. Résultat : aucune rupture de flux, aucune sur-pression locale, et une finesse de vol perceptiblement supérieure.
Tips rondes et de surface modérée pour optimiser les actions du vrillage dans les kite loops. La tip interne du kite se déforme pour tourner encore plus vite et sur l’oreille.
LDS Tips carbone nouvelle génération : les tips intègrent le nouveau LDS carbone issu de la wing, dans une version affinée pour le kite. Le cône final est plus fin, plus tendu et plus rigide, avec une petite latte carbone qui transmet directement les actions en barre à toute la surface de l’oreille. Cela élimine les micro-retards de rotation, supprime l’écrasement latéral des tips à haute vitesse et donne des loops d’une netteté exceptionnelle.
Tension de spi très forte sur chaque section pour un pilotage du kite très réactif (direct feeling : pas de temps de latence).
Impact spécifique DP sur le comportement : le Double Profil renforce aussi la tenue générale du spi : le kite conserve exactement sa géométrie, même dans les accélérations extrêmes ou lorsqu’il traverse des zones de vent irrégulier. On obtient un vol beaucoup plus “propre”, avec une puissance stable, une traction plus linéaire et un contrôle très supérieur dans les manœuvres critiques.
Retour en barre très dosé pour un pilotage fin et sans forcer, notamment à une main. Cela évite les grosses erreurs car on sent bien le kite mais on n’a pas besoin de “tordre” la barre pour le faire réagir.
Depower médium car on souhaite avoir un fond de puissance dans le harnais qui garantisse un plané ultime pendant les tricks. En clair, les avants sustentent et on le laisse dans les arrières que le pilotage directionnel. Le haut ratio permet ces choix sans prise de risque car ce kite va vite en bord de fenêtre et reste docile avec une faible corde.
Shape stable pour un kite prévisible et un maximum de sécurité dans les conditions extrêmes. Les tips reculées qui répartissent la masse un peu vers l’arrière du kite pour éviter les piqués/décrochages.
Bridage court des avants pour éviter qu’il ne s'emmêle dans les tips et rendre le kite plus réactif ; frappé sur 7 points, sans poulie pour un feeling hyper direct et sans concession.

What size?

With its high ratio, the upper range is really the domain of expression of the Ayto which with its 5 struts will be less efficient underpowered.

Choose your kite by following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, skill level, and the board under your feet!

Bar size:

The length of your bar will directly impact the overall feel of your kite. Remember that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. This is especially important when using larger kites, particularly in very light winds, to maintain good responsiveness. The increased leverage compensates for this natural loss of responsiveness.

Keep in mind that, conversely, the smaller the kite, the faster it will turn! Therefore, using a smaller bar allows you to balance the kite's behavior and make it more responsive. You must take these parameters into account when choosing your bar size and adapt your riding style to your preferred feel and the conditions you encounter.

If we are looking for smooth and progressive steering, we must "undersize" the size of our bar.
If you prefer fast and responsive steering, you should choose a larger bar.

The key size is the 52cm bar. This is the most versatile bar and the one to choose if you only want one bar for a 7-9-12, 8-11, or 8-10-13 quiver.

When you have an extensive kite quiver, it's essential to also have a quiver of bars to maintain a balanced feel when switching from a small kite to a larger one. Also note that having two bars reduces wear and tear on the parts by half!

The recommendations above are based on the behavior of GONG kites. Since our bars are compatible with a wide range of kites, you can adapt your choice according to the type of kite you use.

Line lengths:

Your FeelX bar comes standard with 80cm pre-lines, 19m of lines and 3m extensions already mounted.

The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.

One of the main advantages of the Display is the great tolerance afforded by its shape. By playing with its lengths, or even modifying them using our extensions (sold separately), you further boost its versatility!

22m lines:
The "standard" bar length allows for a more progressive and predictable feel (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your wind window will be larger, thus providing more power at takeoff. This is the preferred setting for low and mid-range conditions, and for everyday freeride use.
19m lines:
Shorter lines offer a more direct kite response, increasing its responsiveness. The wind window will be shorter. This is the perfect setup for advanced kiters, ideal for wave riding or foiling, for added agility.

If you choose to sail with short lines, you will also gain comfort in high range.

Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting feel.
