Kite Ayto Aramid
Program
The Ayto is our high-performance big air kite for sending very high, very far, very strong: massive jumps, kiteloops, megaloops, superloops, modern aerial tricks and high end riding.
Presentation
The Ayto 2026 pushes all the big air parameters to the top.
100% performance, this exceptional kite is aimed at the most demanding and committed riders.
High ratio, redesigned bow, centered surface, hyper-rigid 5-strut kite, recentered struts, thinner and faster tips, direct 7-point bridle without pulleys: everything is optimized to go higher, turn faster and stay in total control.
The Aramid version takes this logic to the extreme. The increased rigidity and responsiveness of the structure results in a kite that performs better, goes up faster, maintains its shape under any stress, and transmits the slightest bar input. It's not just about weight: it's about complete, precise control that never blurs the bar feedback.
Faster and more maneuverable, the Ayto Aramid generates monstrous lift . You'll launch yourself into orbit like never before. Its high ratio provides excellent stability, allowing you to both power through the air and pop cleanly when approaching the kicker at full speed.
The loops flow together with formidable precision. The simple kite loop is no longer an issue with the Ayto: double, S, triple, with all the latest tricks, are on the program. You always get a controlled loop, without stalling, with an ultra-responsive kite with catch.
Megaloop? That's the Ayto's DNA: the profile's rigidity, overall tension, and rotation speed provide clean and safe handling. Superloop? That's entirely up to you and the length of your lines!
In more relaxed riding, the wow factor is definitely having the agility and glide of a 9m² kite on the Ayto 12m². It's shocking! It turns and lifts like no other. It's a real pleasure to fly and position.
This is the kite for experienced kiteboarders, pros, megaloopers, members of the “15m and over club”, and all those who want an uncompromising big air kite.
5-strut design
The Ayto's 5-strut design provides maximum rigidity and control in all conditions, especially in strong, well-powered winds, its preferred environment. The positioning of each strut has been carefully considered to avoid hindering the kite's maneuverability and twisting. The result is a 5-strut kite perfectly suited for strong winds and loops.
Aramid further lightens the structure and reinforces profile stability. On a 5-strut kite designed for extreme big air, this is a huge advantage: the kite maintains a perfect shape in megaloops, superloops and very committed landings.
Hybrid C-Shape
The Ayto is a hybrid C shape designed to boost tension, precision, and rotation. A more open arc in 2026 and increased projection result in speed, upwind performance, lift, and perfect maneuverability at the heart of the kite for loops and megaloops.
The turning radius is short. The kite is precise and turns on its ear wingtip at incredible speed.
Short 7-point bridle without pulleys
The new, smaller diameter bridles minimize drag while maintaining impeccable mechanical characteristics. The kite is noticeably more responsive in flight: direct feel, zero latency or fluttering, and better profile stability in loops and at high wind speeds.
Your Ayto adapts to your feel thanks to adjustments on the rear and front:
3 rear attachment points to adjust responsiveness and bar presence according to each person's feel.
3 adjustments on the front bridle:
towards the outside of the kite for more power base, less bar presence, a slightly wider turning radius, more stability, more lift for hangtime.
inwards for a less powerful kite in the front lines/harness that turns faster and more depower.
Central adjustment for perfect versatility.
The new 7-point short bridle system improves feedback and the feel is much more direct. Combined with a pulley-free system, this results in a direct, precise, and fast kite. The Ayto is a demanding kite reserved for expert pilots.
On the Aramid version, this direct bridle benefits from a stiffer leading edge: the slightest bar input translates immediately into flight, without the structure absorbing any of the movement. It's this combination that provides such "pro" handling without making it unplayable.
Reactive tips
The tips play a major role in the behavior of your kite. Thin, less rounded, more open tips, with a very high effective twist: hyper-fast rotation, loops on the wingtip, speed maintained throughout the turn.
This kite reaches an unprecedented level of performance. It climbs incredibly high and instinctively makes you want to do loops.
High aspect ratio
The Ayto's high aspect ratio gives it all the finesse needed for clean pops and boosting your hang time. The Ayto's planing is the most incredible in our range . This aspect ratio also improves its top-end performance and upwind ability.
Spend more time in the air and less time edging.
Easy relaunch
The taut trailing edge and the natural twist on the wingtips makes it easy to turn the Ayto over, which will pivot on one ear by pulling a back line, or take off again in reverse if both back lines are activated.

Kite Ayto Aramid Aramid / 5 m² / Black Sky Blue
Shape:
5-strut design for maximum profile stability, minimal canopy flap, exemplary wind range and total control during jumps and other megaloops.
Hybrid C shape: with a lot of C for a modern, ultra-dynamic, responsive and precise shape. Projected surface area increased to 65%, slightly more open arc than 2025 to increase speed, glide and lift in jumps.
High ratio (5.5) increased speed, huge hangtime, very solid catch in loops, stable support even when fully powered ++.
100% performance profile: slightly set back to maximize top speed and stabilize the kite in the upper wind range. Significant draft relative to the chord (but thin in absolute value) to generate explosive lift, with very powerful recovery at the exit of loops or megaloops.
A significant cut relative to the profile's chord provides low-end power and good grip during radical maneuvers. However, this cut is relatively shallow due to the high aspect ratio, resulting in a short chord.
A thin leading edge in the center creates a fast and agile kite in the air, while maintaining some thickness at the tips for rigidity during high-performance maneuvers or at high wind speeds. It remains thin enough at the tips to allow for strong twist and extreme rotation speeds. This refined profile optimizes apparent wind, upwind performance, and control, yet remains perfectly rigid without ever flexing.
Sleek big air outline for maximum kite glide and speed.
Centered surface: powerful support, enormous lift, thin and fast tips for ultra-lively and highly controllable on-ear rotation.
Curved struts that energize the tensions, perfectly maintain the profile, and preserve the shape of the kite even during loops with very strong twists.
Round tips with a moderate surface area to optimize twisting action in kite loops. The inner tip of the kite deforms to turn even faster and on its wingtip.
Very strong spinnaker tension on each section for very responsive kite control (direct feeling: no latency time).
The bar feedback is very precise and controlled, allowing for smooth and effortless piloting, especially with one hand. This prevents major errors because you have excellent feel for the kite without needing to twist the bar to make it respond. The pressure is clear, and you can perfectly read the pull before, during, and after the loop.
Medium depower is used because we want a good amount of power in the harness to ensure optimal glide during tricks. In short, the front lines provide lift, leaving the rear lines for directional control. The high aspect ratio allows for these choices without risk, as this kite is fast at the edge of the wind window and remains manageable with a short chord.
Stable shape for predictable kite handling and maximum safety in extreme conditions. The set-back wingtips distribute the weight slightly towards the rear of the kite to prevent stalls and dives. The result is a predictable and stable kite for maximum safety.
Short bridle lines to prevent tangling in the tips and make the kite more responsive; attached at 7 points, without pulleys for a hyper direct and uncompromising feel.
3 adjustments on the front bridle:
towards the outside of the kite for more power base, less bar presence, a slightly wider turning radius and more stability for freestyle.
inwards for a less powerful kite in the front lines/harness that turns faster and more depower.
Central adjustment for perfect versatility.
- 3 rear attachment points to adjust responsiveness and bar presence according to each person's feel.
Buying guide
For whom?
For experienced riders who want a kite dedicated to extreme big air, megaloops, superloops and massive hangtime.
The Ayto, the kite used by professionals, requires extensive experience and commitment to be used effectively.
For what ?
High-performance big air: huge jumps, challenging loops, solid resources, speed and control.
The Ayto is a high-aspect-ratio, maneuverable kite. Extremely responsive and fast, it offers incredible lift. You can link loops and stay airborne.
Understanding our kite range:
- Display: the freeride kite for rapid progression.
- Vertigo: the high-performance 3-strut kite for all tricks, loops, big air, surfing, foiling.
- Ayto: the ultimate 5-strut kite for big air and aggressive kite loops.
- Unik: the lightweight single-strut freeride kite for lightwind, foiling and waves.
- Strutless: the super light kite for light wind and high-performance freeriding.
- Elips: the ultimate kiteboarding in the waves.

What size?
With its high ratio, the upper range is really the domain of expression of the Ayto which with its 5 struts will be less efficient underpowered.
Choose your kite by following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, skill level, and the board under your feet!

Bar size:
The length of your bar will directly impact the overall feel of your kite. Remember that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. This is especially important when using larger kites, particularly in very light winds, to maintain good responsiveness. The increased leverage compensates for this natural loss of responsiveness.
Keep in mind that, conversely, the smaller the kite, the faster it will turn! Therefore, using a smaller bar allows you to balance the kite's behavior and make it more responsive. You must take these parameters into account when choosing your bar size and adapt your riding style to your preferred feel and the conditions you encounter.
If we are looking for smooth and progressive steering, we must "undersize" the size of our bar.
If you prefer fast and responsive steering, you should choose a larger bar.
The key size is the 52cm bar. This is the most versatile bar and the one to choose if you only want one bar for a 7-9-12, 8-11, or 8-10-13 quiver.
When you have an extensive kite quiver, it's essential to also have a quiver of bars to maintain a balanced feel when switching from a small kite to a larger one. Also note that having two bars reduces wear and tear on the parts by half!
Here are our recommendations:
The recommendations above are based on the behavior of GONG kites. Since our bars are compatible with a wide range of kites, you can adapt your choice according to the type of kite you use.
Line lengths:
Your FeelX bar comes standard with 80cm pre-lines, 19m of lines and 3m extensions already mounted.
The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.
One of the main advantages of the Display is the great tolerance afforded by its shape. By playing with its lengths, or even modifying them using our extensions (sold separately), you further boost its versatility!
22m lines:
The "standard" bar length allows for a more progressive and predictable feel (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your wind window will be larger, thus providing more power at takeoff. This is the preferred setting for low and mid-range conditions, and for everyday freeride use.19m lines:
Shorter lines offer a more direct kite response, increasing its responsiveness. The wind window will be shorter. This is the perfect setup for advanced kiters, ideal for wave riding or foiling, for added agility.
If you choose to sail with short lines, you will also gain comfort in high range.
Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting feel.

Is the Ayto an accessible kite?
No, the Ayto does not offer the very “raw” feedback that people in the progression phase need with very clear bar feedback.
Relaunch is also not the easiest thing to do when you don't know how.
Is the Ayto a kite for pros?
The Ayto is uncompromising and designed for high-level riders. Its high aspect ratio and responsiveness make it a top-of-the-line kite that won't suit those still learning.
This is the high-performance big air kite in the Team range: high aspect ratio, 5 struts, direct bridle, extreme rotation.
Perfect for megaloops / superloops.
This is truly the ultimate big air kite.
Ayto Perf or Ayto Team, how to choose?
The Ayto Perf and Ayto Team share the same 2026 extreme big air shape.
The Ayto Perf, made of Dacron, is already an extremely high-performance kite, very rigid, and perfectly suited to committed big air.
The Ayto Team, in Aramid, goes further: less inertia in the structure, more responsiveness, more profile stability in loops, more precision at the bar and better durability for intensive use.
If you want a very high-level 5-strut big air kite but at a more affordable price, the Perf is ideal.
If you pull very hard on your equipment, loop often and want the best in rigidity and precision, the Ayto Aramid is the best option.
What inflation pressure?
The recommended pressure is indicated in the table below:
Several factors must be taken into account:
An underinflated kite will be unstable and difficult to control in gusty winds. Relaunching will also be more complicated with a kite that doesn't hold its shape.
An overinflated kite will increase the risk of explosion during a crash and will cause the seams and materials of your kite to wear out more quickly.
If you keep your kite inflated in the sun for a long period, we recommend deflating it slightly to reduce the risk of seam fatigue.
Kiteboarding with or without pulleys?
The Ayto is a pro kite dedicated to big air and kite loops. Its pulley-free bridle gives it a hyper-responsive and direct feel.
We opted for a short bridle without pulleys. This type of bridle is both the lightest and the strongest. It reduces drag for an even more responsive kite. And it makes relaunching easier by minimizing the risk of jamming.
Bar compatibility?
The Ayto was developed to work with the FeelX bar. Our bar has 4 lines of the same length and a low V at the front lines.
The attachments for the lines at the bridle level are:
Kite-side loops for the front lines
Kite-side knots for the back lines
How do I maintain my kite equipment?
To increase the lifespan of your equipment, how you use it and its regular maintenance will be very important.
A key point when using your kite: do not leave it inflated for long periods of time without being used! The flapping of the fabric in the wind can cause premature wear of the materials, as can prolonged exposure to UV rays.
Frequent rinsing of your kite under running water is also discouraged. The chlorine in tap water can damage the surface treatments of your kite. Instead, you should store your kite dry and remove any excess sand.
Always rinse your tiller with clean water to remove sand and salt. Remember to also open the safety release to rinse the inside. Let it dry before reassembling it.
If the slat or leading edge is punctured, use your repair kit, or consult our spare parts to order the replacement part.
Regularly inspect the condition of your kite. Look for any holes or cuts and have them repaired before they get worse.
If you have damaged your kite due to misuse, you can have it repaired directly at the GONG workshop by contacting our sailmaker: HERE
