Kite Vertigo Aramid DP
Program
The Vertigo Aramid DP 2026 is the ultimate 3-strut kite for all styles: big air, loops, tricks, whether twin tip or foil. No need to choose between power, precision, hangtime, or responsiveness: it does everything perfectly.
Presentation
The new Vertigo Aramid DP propels the 3-strut kite into a new dimension.
This new model in the Pro Team Series range boosts all programs. Designed for twin tip, it has the glide and maneuverability we love in many aspects of kitesurfing, coupled with an amazing catapult mode.
In terms of shape, we keep the basic 3-strut light, fluid, easy-to-live-with design, but everything else has been pushed further: higher ratio, very centered surface, thin and fast tips, 7-point bridle without pulleys.
The Aramid construction further enhances this characteristic. With less weight in the leading edge and struts, the Vertigo Aramid DP exits every maneuver with more speed, centers itself more quickly in the wind window, and maintains astonishing control even when fully powered. Loops are cleaner, the kite holds its position better during rotations, and relaunch is instantaneous.
This translates to a kite that performs very well as soon as you sheet in, with lightning-fast satellite launch and lift that allows time for a clean landing.
The loops are powerful but controllable, with very good traction feedback throughout the rotation and phenomenal catch thanks to the Double Profile and LDS carbon tips.
Its strength lies in its ultra-clean flight: the kite remains clean, stable, and predictable, even when heavily powered. It doesn't have the inertia of a 5-strut big air kite, but it offers a level of lift and performance in the same category, while remaining lighter and more versatile.
In the Aramid version, this lightness is really felt on the water: less fatigue in the arms, more margin in low and high ranges, and a feeling of kite that “glides” much more, without inertia.
The Aramid DP version takes this logic even further. The double segmented profile eliminates internal turbulence and completely stabilizes traction, even during rapid transitions and load variations. In loops, rotation is surgical, and acceleration is faster and more precise.
The result is evident on the water: the Vertigo Aramid DP climbs higher, stays airborne longer, recovers faster, and delivers a level of precision that's a "pro setup." It's the future!
In twin tip configurations, it's the perfect kite for 90% of riders who want high performance without switching to a 5-strut kite. It's a lively, lightweight, powerful kite that loops perfectly.
When foiling, it is super efficient for fully committed tricks, and thanks to its lightness and lift, the low end top of the class.
Regardless of the board, what the Vertigo 2026 does in the air is key: incredible lift, amazing maneuverability, immediate relaunch, perfect control of power in loops, and precise bar pressure. It's clearly the benchmark modern 3-strut kite for this type of riding.
3-strut design
Its 3-strut design remains the best compromise between rigidity, lightness and performance.
The 3-strut design keeps the weight very low while maintaining excellent profile stability, even in strong winds. Maneuvers and loops remain easy to initiate, without excessive inertia.
On the Vertigo 2026, this 3-strut design is put to use for a high-performance program: big air, loops, tricks. The kite retains the responsiveness and lightness needed for aggressive riding, while remaining stable enough for recreational riders.
It's also a real plus for foiling and travel: a kite that covers very wide uses without weighing down your bag.
Aramid further lightens the structure and reinforces the profile stability, making this 3-strut kite even more relevant for an aggressive twin tip program.
Hybrid C-Shape
The Vertigo 2026 remains a hybrid C shape, but with a complete redesign of the geometry: higher ratio, more open arc, projected surface area increased to 67.5%.
The kite generates more lift while maintaining excellent pivoting capabilities for loops. The hybrid C provides that blend of C-shape (tension, precision, pop) and flatter kite (upwind performance, hangtime, drift) that works for all modern tricks.
The bar feedback is direct and clean. You can really feel the kite's position, which allows you to precisely time pops, loops, and landings.
Segmented Dual Profile
The 2026 Double Profile is a major advancement. Fully segmented, it perfectly follows the internal aerodynamic contour and absorbs pressure variations without disrupting the shape. It stabilizes the kite when depowered, optimizes lift when sheeted in, and improves glide throughout the entire wind window. This dynamic adaptability delivers incredibly clean and consistent flight, even in gusty conditions.
7-point bridle without pulleys
The big news for 2026: the front bridle changes from a 4-point / 3-pulley system to a 7-point system without pulleys, off-center.
The advantages are clear:
Ultra-direct feel, no latency due to pulleys.
The profile is very well maintained, especially in the high-end.
kite much more stable in loops and precise in reception/relaunch.
This short bridle remains very efficient in depower, but with finer control of the pull at every moment.
On the Aramid version, this direct bridle benefits from a stiffer leading edge : the slightest bar input translates immediately into flight, without the structure absorbing any of the movement. It's this combination that provides such "pro" handling without making it unplayable.
The rear settings (3 positions) allow you to adjust the bar presence and responsiveness according to the program (big air, freeride, foil, surf).
Fast tips
The tips for Vertigo 2026 have been completely reworked:
thinner,
curved but with a small surface area
short LDS carbon,
more open.
The tips play a major role in the behavior of your kite. Thin, less rounded, more open tips, with a very high effective twist: hyper-fast rotation, loops on the wingtip, speed maintained throughout the turn.
The 2026 carbon LDS provides a decisive advantage in rotation. The terminal cone with a carbon batten transmits commands directly, without distortion, and optimizes tip glide throughout all phases of the loop. The result is instant rotation, consistent speed, and a much cleaner relaunch. Less drag, more precision, more power: it's the ultimate system for throwing modern loops.
This kite reaches an unprecedented level of performance. It climbs incredibly high and instinctively makes you want to do loops.
High ratio
The high aspect ratio of the Vertigo 2026 (5.4) is one of the key points of this new design.
It brings:
a rapid rise as soon as you pop and sheet in,
a very significant lift in the air,
a very important high end with only 3 struts.
Combined with the centered surface and the deeper profile, this results in a kite that explodes off the ground, stays in the air for a long time and allows you to control the height and distance of each jump.
This performance gain does not come at the expense of control: the direct bridle and self-stabilizing geometry maintain healthy behavior.
Technical sheet

Shape:
3-strut design: excellent weight-to-stability ratio, superb performance while maintaining clear bar feel. The 3-strut structure keeps the kite light and responsive, with very good profile stability at the high end of its wind range.
Hybrid C shape: modern, dynamic design with a projection coefficient increased to 67.5% for a very centered surface. The arc is more open, which increases speed, heading, and lift during jumps.
High aspect ratio ( 5.4) for maximum usable power, lift, and precision in the wind window. It offers a very crisp lift, lightning-fast as soon as you sheet in, and lift that keeps you airborne for a long time, all while maintaining a fast and responsive kite.
Refocused surface area: the vast majority of the surface is in the central third of the shape, with thin wingtips. Result: solid support, enormous lift, and very responsive wingtips for precise control of loops and acceleration.
Deeper profile (23%) with a more open angle of attack: the kite generates more power without becoming brutal.
- The segmented double profile (a patented innovation for 2026) has been completely redesigned. Each internal segment is now cut and oriented to precisely match the geometry of the external profile without generating unwanted stress. This second skin is not cut randomly: it acts as a dynamic shock absorber that tightens or loosens according to the aerodynamic load. In flight, this translates into a kite that breathes better, maintains a perfect shape under acceleration, and retains unprecedented vertical stability at the edge of the wind window or in gusts.
A thin leading edge in the center creates a fast and agile kite that twists on demand, while the diameter is slightly increased towards the tips (+2 to 3%) for greater rigidity and stability in loops and at high wind speeds. The kite remains perfectly stable, even when fully powered, maintaining control. The Aramid construction allows for these smaller diameters while increasing rigidity, resulting in a kite that resists deformation and twisting unpredictably.
Deep draft and reflex profile for maximum stability and controlled power.
A wider arc (198°) for improved glide and stable heading. The Vertigo 2026 tracks clean lines, maintains presence in the air, and delivers powerful acceleration.
Outline freeride / big air / loops: curved leading edge for maximum performance.
Segmented struts with the central strut raised by one section: improved profile stability, greater stability at high wind speeds, and increased bar precision. The flatter third strut stabilizes the rear profile and provides very predictable handling when easing off or executing a loop.
Congruence of the double profile on the struts / aerodynamic overlay 2026: The strut/double profile overlay has been completely revised in 2026. The junction areas are now almost congruent, with a much cleaner alignment of the fabrics and improved tension control.
Thin, rounded tips with a more open feel: very fast rotation, progressive and controllable loops, without violent jerks. The kite maintains speed through the turn instead of stalling at the end of the loop.
The tip shape is designed to prevent internal twisting, resulting in a kite with rotation driven by the wingtips rather than the brake. This maintains a fast-rotating kite that doesn't stall, especially when unhooked.
- Next-generation carbon LDS tips : These tips incorporate the new carbon LDS technology developed for wing foiling, in a refined version for kitesurfing. The tip cone is thinner, tighter, and stiffer, with a small carbon strut that directly transmits bar input to the entire tip surface. This eliminates micro-lag in rotation, prevents lateral tip compression at high speeds, and results in exceptionally clean loops.
Rather strong spinnaker tension on each section for very dynamic handling: more responsive, more agile, more power.
Very readable bar feedback: clear pressure, precise control of the pull, especially in loops.
Significant depower for a huge range of use. Full power when sheeted in with a big boost on takeoff, and very effective depowering when depowered.
“Self-stabilizing” shape despite the high ratio: ratio + hollow profile + centered surface + rearward tips give a kite that holds its flight and does not dive.
- Specific impact of DP on behavior: the Double Profile also reinforces the overall stability of the kite: It retains exactly its geometry, even in extreme accelerations or when crossing areas of irregular wind.
Short 7-point bridle without pulleys, eccentric: very secure front lines for perfect hold in high range, zero pulleys therefore no parasitic play, ultra direct feeling, monstrous stability in loops and during landings.
Buying guide
For whom?
Clearly the kite for the twin tip rider who wants an ultimate 3-strut kite capable of sending very high, very far, and supporting a real commitment in loops, while remaining versatile in foiling.
The Aramid construction provides the rigidity and responsiveness needed to handle this type of riding, while remaining readable and usable for an experienced rider.
We'll love it as soon as the basics are mastered because it's a very safe and light kite, easy to fly and will reveal your twin tip potential.
For what ?
The Vertigo Aramid DP 2026 is first and foremost a high-performance twin tip kite:
big jumps,
adjustable loops,
modern freestyle.
Its flight principle: to remain free, fast, unbraked, with solid central support. This is what makes it brilliant for tricks and big air, and very interesting for foiling and strapless freestyle.
When strapless, it can be positioned anywhere in the wind window, turns quickly, and exits the window immediately when desired. Airton uses it precisely for this combination of support and responsiveness.
In summary: the twin tip 3 strut kite that can really do everything in the air, no matter what you have under your feet.
Understanding our kite range:
- Display : the freeride kite for rapid progression.
- Vertigo : the high-performance 3-strut kite for all tricks, loops, big air, surfing, foiling.
- Ayto : the ultimate 5-strut kite for big air and aggressive kite loops.
- Unik : the lightweight single-strut freeride kite for lightwind, foiling and waves.
- Strutless : the super light kite for light wind and high-performance freeriding.
- Elips : the ultimate kite in the waves.
What size?
The Vertigo has plenty of power and really moves well. A technical rider will easily exploit the low end. And with its direct 7-point bridle without pulleys and its open tips, you benefit from a really significant and enjoyable high end for a 3-strut board.
Choose your kite by following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, skill level, and the support under your feet!

Bar size:
The length of your bar will directly impact the overall feel of your kite. Remember that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. This is especially important when using larger kites, particularly in very light winds, to maintain good responsiveness. The increased leverage compensates for this natural loss of responsiveness.
Keep in mind that, conversely, the smaller the kite, the faster it will turn! Therefore, using a smaller bar allows you to balance the kite's behavior and make it more responsive. You must take these parameters into account when choosing your bar size and adapt your riding style to your preferred feel and the conditions you encounter.
If we are looking for smooth and progressive steering, we must "undersize" the size of our bar.
If you prefer fast and responsive steering, you should choose a larger bar.
The key size is the 52cm bar. This is the most versatile bar and the one to choose if you only want one bar for a 7-9-12, 8-11, or 8-10-13 quiver.
When you have an extensive kite quiver, it's essential to also have a quiver of bars to maintain a balanced feel when switching from a small kite to a larger one. Also note that having two bars reduces wear and tear on the parts by half!
Here are our recommendations:
The recommendations above are based on the behavior of GONG kites. Since our bars are compatible with a wide range of kites, you can adapt your choice according to the type of kite you use.
Line lengths:
Your FeelX bar comes standard with 80cm pre-lines, 19m of lines and 3m extensions already mounted.
The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.
By playing with its lengths, or even modifying them with our extensions (sold separately), you boost its versatility even more!
22m lines:
The "standard" bar length allows for a more progressive and predictable feel (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your wind window will be larger, thus providing more power at takeoff. This is the preferred setting for low and mid-range conditions, and for everyday freeride use.19m lines:
Shorter lines offer a more direct kite response, increasing its responsiveness. The wind window will be shorter. This is the perfect setup for advanced kiters, ideal for wave riding or foiling, for added agility.
If you choose to sail with short lines, you will also gain comfort in high range.
Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting feel.

Is the Vertigo wing accessible?
The Vertigo 2026 is a high-performance 3-strut kite, capable of producing a very high level in big air and loops.
It therefore requires a minimum of technical skill (correct heading, controlled transitions, first jumps).
But its flight remains clean and predictable: direct bridle without pulleys, centered surface, excellent bar feedback.
For someone already comfortable with twin tip kites, this is a kite that inspires confidence while opening up a huge margin for progression.
Is the Vertigo a versatile kite?
100% all-purpose kite, the Vertigo is by definition the kite that fits into all programs.
Which freeride kite should I choose?
In our comprehensive range, we have various freeride wings. Depending on your conditions and skill level, you should choose one model over another.
Display : The ultimate freeride kite, it's the most versatile model regardless of skill level or conditions! With a good low-end range and a stable 3-strut shape in strong winds, the Display has a very wide wind range, always with unparalleled ease of use! Intuitive freeriding, no matter the wind strength.
Vertigo : High-performance 3-strut freeriding! Like the Display and Unik, the Vertigo lets you have a blast on any board. However, with its precise handling and powerful traction, this kite is best suited for advanced kiters. The Vertigo is fast, reacts instantly, and delivers an impressive jump boost. Freeriding, yes, but in supercharged mode!
Unik : This kite is designed for freeride, but primarily to facilitate sailing in light winds or when underpowered. Its single-strut shape provides impressive lightness and excellent stability across the entire wind window. You feel safe even in winds as low as 10 knots. If you frequently sail in light wind conditions and enjoy switching between twin-tip, surfing, and foiling, this model is perfect for you!
What are the advantages of Vertigo Aramid compared to Vertigo Perf?
The Vertigo, the Vertigo Aramid and the Vertigo Aramid DP share the same 2026 shape. The difference lies in the construction.
The Perf Series version in Dacron is already very high-performing, simple and forgiving.
The Team Series version, the Vertigo Aramid, offers more responsiveness, better profile support and less weight in the structure.
The Pro Team Series version, the Vertigo Aramid DP, is supercharged with crazy glide and micrometric responsiveness thanks to the LDS carbon tips.
This translates into cleaner loops, immediate relaunch, better high-range stability, more low-end performance, and a sharper kite feel in hand.
If you want a high-performance 3-strut kite that's very affordable, the Perf Series is perfect.
If you want the same program with a more incisive feel and a higher level of precision, the Vertigo Aramid is the right option.
If you want the behavior of a modern competition kite, clean, taut and ultra-readable in extreme big air, the DP is the absolute reference.
The Aramid DP version goes even further: the segmented double profile and carbon LDS eliminate the last structural limitations of the 3-strut design. It's an athlete's kite, designed for riders who push hard and exploit the kite's limits.
What inflation pressure?
The recommended pressure is indicated in the table below:

Several factors must be taken into account:
An underinflated kite will be unstable and difficult to control in gusty winds. Relaunching will also be more complicated with a kite that doesn't hold its shape.
An overinflated kite will increase the risk of explosion during a crash and will cause the seams and materials of your kite to wear out more quickly.
If you keep your kite inflated in the sun for a long period, we recommend deflating it slightly to reduce the risk of seam fatigue.
Kiteboarding with or without pulleys?
The Vertigo 2026 is equipped with a direct bridle without pulleys, in 7 points on the fronts.
This choice maximizes control and feel at the bar: no latency, no variation related to pulleys, a profile very well maintained in the high range.
The result is a very precise kite, ideal for big jumps and controlled loops, without losing the forgiveness of a well-designed 3-strut kite.
Bar compatibility?
The Vertigo was developed to work with the FeelX bar. Our bar has 4 lines of the same length and a low V at the front lines.
The attachments for the lines at the bridle level are:
Kite-side loops for the front lines
Kite-side knots for the back lines
How do I maintain my kiteboarding equipment?
To increase the lifespan of your equipment, how you use it and its regular maintenance will be very important.
A key point when using your wing: do not leave it inflated for long periods of time without being used! The flapping of the fabric in the wind can cause premature wear of the materials, as can prolonged exposure to UV rays.
Frequent rinsing of your kite under running water is also discouraged. The chlorine in tap water can damage the surface treatments of your kite. Instead, you should store your kite dry and remove any excess sand.
Always rinse your tiller with clean water to remove sand and salt. Remember to also open the safety release to rinse the inside. Let it dry before reassembling it.
If the slat or leading edge is punctured, use your repair kit, or consult our spare parts to order the replacement part.
Regularly inspect the condition of your kite. Look for any holes or cuts and have them repaired before they get worse.
If you have damaged your kite due to misuse, you can have it repaired directly at the GONG workshop by contacting our sailmaker: HERE
