Foil Stab Ypra Freestyle V3
Program
The Ypra Freestyle V3 stab is a powerhouse of pop, repop, and explosiveness.
Presentation
The Ypra Freestyle stab is a freak in competition.
It has the shortest front to rear span in the range, even shorter than the Ypra Surf-Freestyle stab, and a significant lifting angle. These two key features allow it to carve extremely tight turns to initiate pop and repop.
The takeoff inertia is almost zero. You ride with insane pressure on the front foot, and as soon as you release, you’re launched into the air. It’s comfortable on straight runs but your legs will feel the power on landings as you prepare for another explosive repop. For an average rider, it’s a challenge. For a pure freestyler, it’s the holy grail!
Perfect for both winging and kitefoiling, this stabilizer is incredibly playful, breaking through the limits of what is possible in freestyle. Your session will feel more intense than ever.
The elliptical outline and flat dihedral make it extremely free in yaw, allowing you to snap waves violently and without constraints.
The moderate 7.2 aspect ratio brings great freedom in roll, offering ultra-dynamic rail-to-rail transitions.
All these features are combined with reinforced construction for unbeatable durability.
OUTLINE
The Freestyle stabilizer’s moderate 7.2 ratio gives it a highly maneuverable and powerful character while maintaining good glide.
Its centered and forward surface enhances pop and reactivity.

POWERFUL PROFILE
The Freestyle stab's profile is powerful, with a high angle of attack to provide maximum lift and instant pop as soon as you release the front foot.
This also gives it excellent support at more moderate speeds.
FLAT DIHEDRAL
The Freestyle stabilizer has an almost flat dihedral to maximize lift while minimizing surface area, wingspan, and drag.
This significantly enhances maneuverability, especially since the flat stabilizer offers complete freedom in yaw for ultra-radical maneuvers.

ULTRA SHORT CONNECTION
The fuselage of the Freestyle stabilizer is shortened to the extreme, making the foil as responsive, hyper-maneuverable, and ultra-reactive as possible for tight turns and instant pop.

Buying guide
For whom?
This is a stabilizer for pros and a few verrrry experienced riders who want to spend more time in the air than on the water. You need solid technical skills and top-tier physical fitness to make it yours.
For what?
Buckle up for a freestyle rodeo on setup with an incredible pop. So the plan is simple: stomping tricks, and that’s it. The rest of the time, it's a nightmare.
What size?
This stab needs to be significantly undersized compared to the front wing.

General guidelines for choosing stabilizer size:
The ideal size depends on your board, skill level, weight, spot conditions, and front wing.
A larger stabilizer will make takeoff easier as the foil generates more torque, leading to a higher angle of attack. This also means a stronger feedback under the front foot.
A smaller stabilizer will be more technical during takeoff but will enhance speed and maneuverability. It also reduces front foot pressure, which may require adjusting the foil forward in the box to regain stability.
Always match the stabilizer size to the front wing size for balanced flight and smooth interaction between the two components.
If you're unsure about which size to choose, contact our customer service.
