The V3 fuselage is a revolution.

With the best hydrodynamic and mechanical performance ever designed, it is faster, stiffer, and more robust to enhance the experience of using our foils. The connections for the front wing, stabilizer, and masts are all self-tightening to ensure a perfect assembly of the mast and wings even after hours of sessions. While still being easy to disassemble.

The rigidity during navigation is absolute and continuous!!!

The V3 fuselage is faster, stiffer, stronger, lighter.

The new rounded shape allows for a calculated 12% gain in glide. It also eliminates potential lift effects that a faceted fuselage might have on each side, thus eliminating imperfections in high-speed actions.

Structurally, the thicker section near the stabilizer increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

These connections all have a foolproof mechanism to ensure you never accidentally mount your stabilizer or front wing backwards. This new fuselage requires fewer screws: 3 screws for the mast, 2 screws for the front wing, and 2 screws for the stabilizer. All these screws are placed underneath the foil, making it very ergonomic to assemble your foil and tighten all the screws simply by flipping it over. And the little bonus is that all the screws of your wings are identical, so no hassle during assembly!

This fuselage is available in two constructions:

In aluminum, which is an excellent compromise between price, lightness, and mechanical performance.
In titanium, which is much stiffer and stronger than aluminum, essential for jumps and large wings, and does not cause oxidation. The titanium version is hollowed out in the center, in the area least stressed mechanically, to save weight.

When using titanium screws with a titanium fuselage, it is essential to grease the screw (with tef gel or similar) to prevent seizing.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening front wing connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the front wing, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the front wing, even after long sessions.
This fitting only requires two screws under the FW, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle, already validated for several years on our V2 stabs, is now available in an optimized version on the front wings.

Buying guide

Aluminum or titanium fuselage?

We strongly recommend using a titanium fuselage in the following cases:

If you plan to navigate beyond the 300m zone or if you sail more than 300m from shelter (serious bodily injury risk in case of unexpected breakage), it is mandatory for your safety.
If you jump (risk of material loss).
If you use front wings with a span of more than 110 cm (risk of material loss).
If you do not meet any of the above conditions, the V3 aluminum fuselage will suit you perfectly.

Compatibility:

This fuselage is compatible with V3 foils:

Front wings with round fittings
Stabilizers with round fittings
V3 masts, which can be identified by a rounded heel on top and a plate with beveled edges.

It is also compatible with V2 masts, which can be identified by a flat heel on top and a plate with rounded edges. The fitting works perfectly with these masts, however, the differences in geometry result in a loss of the foil’s hydrodynamic performance. In this case, we recommend using a specialized fuselage for retrofitting different generations of foils to avoid this additional drag.
