A bit longer and with less angle than the Ypra Freestyle model, it retains its dynamism but offers more glide for surfing. It's for instance the perfect stabilizer for pros looking to excel in surf foiling.

To combine tight turns with big aerial moves, the short front to rear span and very advanced center of lift allow for incredible pop and extreme maneuverability. Soft waves are its ideal playground, whether in turns and rail transitions (thanks to its moderate ratio that frees up rolling), or in snappy turns, with the absence of dihedral and an elliptical outline maximizing yaw freedom.

To preserve these characteristics over time, the fuselage has been reinforced, and combined with the new connection system that ensures no slack and ultimate rigidity, steering will be precise and stable.

OUTLINE

A moderate aspect ratio of 7.4 gives the Surf-Freestyle rear wing a highly maneuverable and powerful character while maintaining excellent glide.

Its centered and forward surface enhances roll and pitch pivots, allowing for uncompromising carving and jumping.

VERSATILE PROFILE

The Surf-Freestyle stabilizer's profile is fast, providing smooth, unleashed drive and boosted glide. It’s also very effective in low end conditions, allowing riders to fully harness the power of each wave, with impressive acceleration and speeds.

The lift it generates is significant, which makes pop easier and provides strong support at high speeds.

FLAT DIHEDRAL

The Surf-Freestyle stabilizer has an almost flat dihedral to maximize lift while minimizing surface, wingspan, and therefore drag. This greatly enhances maneuverability, especially as this flat stabilizer allows full freedom in yaw for ultra-radical maneuvers.

SHORT CONNECTION

The fuselage of the Surf-Freestyle stabilizer is shortened to increase the foil’s responsiveness, maneuverability, and reactivity for tighter turns and incredible pop. This fuselage is slightly longer compared to the Freestyle stabilizer to enhance stability.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening stab connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the stab, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the stab, even after long sessions.

This fitting only requires two screws under the stab, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle is already validated for several years on our V2 stabs.

A real plus for daily use!

Retro fitting

The entire range, from the fuselage, to the mast, to the front wing and the stab, has been revised to radically boost the performance of our foils, without being limited by our old connection shapes.

However, this choice to change all of our parts could not be considered without continuing to offer compatibility with our old ranges.

We therefore offer a wide choice of fuselages which gives you the freedom to mix all our masts, front wings and stabs, whatever their generation.

Carbon HM

The TORAY M40J High Modulus carbon used on our Team Series range offers incredible rigidity. It is a high-end carbon that delivers high mechanical properties while remaining resistant. A carbon used in aeronautics as well as for high-end sports equipment.

Its mechanical characteristics, such as its superior tensile strength and Young's modulus, allow for exceptional performance on the water.

Your equipment is rigid, responsive, and extremely stable.

Carbon HM Stab Technology

High Module Carbon offers unparalleled rigidity, representing the pinnacle of performance in our most advanced wings and masts, which face the most demanding structural constraints.

By combining High Module with Intermediate Module, we offer the best performance at the best price.

The products have no flex, the fibers are oriented along multiple axes to lock in bending and torsion, ensuring maximum responsiveness.

Thanks to pre-impregnated fibers, we can guarantee optimal resin usage, providing perfect cohesion at the lightest possible weight.

Each layer of carbon is carefully hand-assembled around a high-density hydrophobic foam core, in a steel mold. A central stiffener is integrated to increase rigidity without compromising on lightness.

The mold is then subjected to high pressure and heated to 150°C to solidify the carbon. The foam core, seeking to expand under the heat, ensures even compression between the carbon layers, ensuring a strong and durable structure.

For whom?

This stabilizer is designed for experienced riders, requiring a solid technical background to fully appreciate its qualities. It's relatively physical and technical, making a solid experience in foiling essential.

For what?

If you split your sessions between tricks and surfing, this stabilizer is for you. The short wingspan will unlock the ultimate pop and repop potential, without sacrificing precise control in waves, especially at high speeds.

It remains more stable than the Freestyle stabilizer, which is mainly focused on taking off. With the surf-freestyle stabilizer, you can confidently execute deep bottom turns with ease.

What size?

General guidelines for choosing stabilizer size:

The ideal size depends on your board, skill level, weight, spot conditions, and front wing.

A larger stabilizer will make takeoff easier as the foil generates more torque, leading to a higher angle of attack. This also means a stronger feedback under the front foot.

A smaller stabilizer will be more technical during takeoff but will enhance speed and maneuverability. It also reduces front foot pressure, which may require adjusting the foil forward in the box to regain stability.

Always match the stabilizer size to the front wing size for balanced flight and smooth interaction between the two components.
