Presentation

The Ypra Slalom V3 is a fast and maneuverable rocket.

While being relatively easy to handle for a World Cup foil, it offers world-class performance in slalom.

With the V3 fuselage and V3 HM masts, this wing will propel your quiver to crazy speeds on the cross wind and downwind legs, and make you engage in the most powerful jibes of your life.

Engineered to optimize speed and agility on the technical World Cup slalom courses, it provides the ideal balance of precision, responsiveness, and control, even at top speeds.

Its ultra-slick profile allows for explosive acceleration. The added forgiveness in its design, however, makes it surprisingly easy to manage for such performance. You take off early, the low-end is excellent, you carve into turns with ease, and the re-launch is effortless with no fear of stalling.

A less extreme outline and profile than the Ypra Race, combined with compatibility with all V3 components, makes this foil the perfect tool to outpace your friends in freerace and compete confidently at the highest level, without diving into complex foils.

Front Wing

With its 8.9 ratio, the Ypra Slalom is a speed machine that allows you to easily counter-heel to the extreme, always putting more tension on the harness. It excels in crosswind angles, delivering exceptional control at high speeds.

Stab

The 8.0 ratio of the Ypra Slalom stab is the perfect balance between high-speed power, maneuverability, and efficiency.

The thrust of the stab is aligned with the central three-quarters and positioned towards the winglets for increased stability.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening stab connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the stab, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the stab, even after long sessions.

This fitting only requires two screws under the stab, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle is already validated for several years on our V2 stabs.

A real plus for daily use!

Retro fitting

The entire range, from the fuselage, to the mast, to the front wing and the stab, has been revised to radically boost the performance of our foils, without being limited by our old connection shapes.

However, this choice to change all of our parts could not be considered without continuing to offer compatibility with our old ranges.

We therefore offer a wide choice of fuselages which gives you the freedom to mix all our masts, front wings and stabs, whatever their generation.

Carbon HM

The TORAY M40J High Modulus carbon used on our Team Series range offers incredible rigidity. It is a high-end carbon that delivers high mechanical properties while remaining resistant. A carbon used in aeronautics as well as for high-end sports equipment.

Its mechanical characteristics, such as its superior tensile strength and Young's modulus, allow for exceptional performance on the water.

Your equipment is rigid, responsive, and extremely stable.

For Whom?

You have solid kiting skills, full-speed runs get you pumped, and you engage your jibes like you mean business: go for it!!!

It takes a high level of skill, commitment, and a great physical condition to send it hard, but it remains surprisingly easy for this kind of setup.

For What?

The front wing for carving without diving into the complexity of a pure race foil.

No limits on top speed, acceleration, re-launch, pressure in turns, or sharp drive. The Ypra Slalom really flies on a World Cup course.

With a 100% GONG podium in the World Cup slalom, from foil to wing, GONG proved its exceptional mastery of the sport in 2024. No brand has ever claimed the top three spots in such a competitive discipline that emphasizes both rider talent and the quality of the equipment.

This GONG gear, tested by our Pro Team all season long, is now available in production models.

What size?

In slalom, we tend to slightly adjust the size based on the wind.

Keep in mind that the key size is around 600 cm², and for strong winds, 500 cm² is ideal. However, riding with a 700 cm² wing is not unusual in light wind conditions.

Larger sizes are for heavier riders and sluggish conditions.

What Stab ?

Always adjust the size of the stabilizer to match the size of the front wing to achieve balanced flight and harmonious performance between these two components.
