Foil Stab Ypra Slalom V3
IWSA Rules Compliant and IWSA registered for 2025 races
Program
The high-performance foil dedicated to slalom and freerace, providing a unique mix of speed and maneuverability to shine in competition and go full tilt in freeride.
Presentation
The Ypra Slalom V3 stab is a fast and maneuverable rocket.
While being relatively easy to handle for a World Cup foil, it offers world-class performance in slalom.
With the V3 fuselage and V3 HM masts, this stab will propel your quiver to crazy speeds on the cross wind and downwind legs, and make you engage in the most powerful jibes of your life.
Engineered to optimize speed and agility on the technical World Cup slalom courses, it provides the ideal balance of precision, responsiveness, and control, even at top speeds.
Its ultra-slick profile allows for explosive acceleration. The added forgiveness in its design, however, makes it surprisingly easy to manage for such performance. You take off early, the low-end is excellent, you carve into turns with ease, and the re-launch is effortless with no fear of stalling.
A less extreme outline and profile than the Ypra Race, combined with compatibility with all V3 components, makes this stab the perfect tool to outpace your friends in freerace and compete confidently at the highest level, without diving into complex foils.
The construction of the Pro Team Series range, made with high-temperature, high-pressure cured prepreg carbon in steel molds, enhances rigidity, dynamism, and durability under load, while minimizing weight for precise, direct sensations underfoot. This optimal balance of lightness and rigidity boosts responsiveness.
Thanks to our technical innovations like the ovalized V3 fuselage and the self-tightening connection system, rigidity is optimized and responsiveness enhanced, ensuring top-tier performance and a perfect experience.
The Ypra Slalom is your ally for dominating downwind courses and turning every maneuver exit into winning positions at the finish.
OUTLINE
The 8.0 ratio of the Ypra Slalom stab is the perfect balance between high-speed power, maneuverability, and efficiency.
The thrust of the stab is aligned with the central three-quarters and positioned towards the winglets for increased stability.

FAST PROFILE
The Ypra Slalom profile is designed to offer a sharp feedback under the front foot, providing excellent stability at high speeds while reducing drag.
WINGLETS
The winglets of the Ypra Slalom stab offer great stability at high speeds and reduce induced drag for even faster riding.
They are slightly angled backward to compensate for the comfort lost due to the short shaft.

SHORT CONNECTION
The fuselage of the Ypra Slalom is short to reduce the turning radius in fast carves and limit the lever arm for a precise feel and control.

TECHNOLOGY
Explore the Carbon technology behind the Pro Team Series foils, an advanced solution that combines high-modulus Prepreg carbon fibers with a high-density hydrophobic foam core. The outcome: a structure that is incredibly rigid, dynamic, and exceptionally durable, delivering record-level performance.
Engineered in 3D and digitally optimized, each foil is crafted with extreme precision using hydrodynamic and mechanical simulations. Tested by our Pro Team, this range is proven in real conditions to guarantee smooth performance.
Every stage of production is a work of engineering excellence: 5-axis CNC machining, vacuum compression, thermal molding at 150°C, and ultra-precise finishing. The multidirectional, pre-preg fibers ensure optimal flex and torsion control, offering managed rigidity and enhanced durability with a lightweight design.
High-Modulus Carbon delivers unparalleled rigidity, embodying the peak of performance in our most advanced wings and masts, designed to withstand the toughest structural stresses.
These products feature minimal flex, as the fibers are oriented along multiple axes to lock in bending and torsion, ensuring maximum responsiveness.
Thanks to the pre-impregnated fibers, we can ensure optimal resin use, providing perfect cohesion with the lightest possible weight.
Each layer of carbon is CNC-cut and then carefully assembled by hand around a high-density hydrophobic foam core, before being placed in a steel mold. A central stiffener is integrated to increase rigidity without compromising lightness.
The mold is then exposed to high pressure and heated to 150°C to harden the resin and carbon. The foam core, expanding under the heat, ensures even compression between the carbon layers, resulting in a solid and durable structure.
Durability and repairability are at the core of our development philosophy. Our foils are tested and proven by dozens of team riders, hundreds of employees, and thousands of customers worldwide. Even in case of damage, our products can be repeatedly repaired, ensuring exceptional longevity.

Buying guide
For whom?
You have solid winging skills, full-speed runs get you pumped, and you engage your jibes like you mean business: go for it!!!
It takes a high level of skill, commitment, and a great physical condition to send it hard, but it remains surprisingly easy for this program.
For what ?
The stab for carving without diving into the complexity of a pure race foil.
No limits on top speed, acceleration, re-launch, pressure in turns, or sharp drive. The Ypra Slalom stab really flies on a World Cup course.
With a 100% GONG podium in the World Cup slalom, from foil to wing, GONG proved its exceptional mastery of the sport in 2024. No brand has ever claimed the top three spots in such a competitive discipline that emphasizes both rider talent and the quality of the equipment.
This GONG gear, tested by our Pro Team all season long, is now available in production models.
What size?
We recommend pairing a Slalom stab with your Ypra Slalom front wing for perfect balance.
Always match the size of the stab to the size of the front wing to achieve a balanced flight and seamless performance between these two components.
For more information, check out the dedicated article .
General information on choosing stab sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your foiling discipline, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot but also your front wing.
A larger stab will make take-off easier because the foil will generate a significant torque which will tend to give it a significant angle of attack. This also implies more front foot pressure.
A smaller stab will be more technical on takeoff but will boost speed and maneuverability. We also lose some front foot pressure, which means having to move the foil forward in the boxes to regain this stability.
Always adjust the size of the stab to the size of the front wing to obtain a balanced flight and functioning harmony between these two components.
