Wing Neutra - 4,5 m² Black Second Hand 12886
Program
The ultimate wave riding wing for high-performance surfing and jumps.
Presentation
The Neutra 2025 is the ultimate wing for surfing and jumping.
A multiple-time World Champion wing in Surf-Freestyle and Big Air, it has made history in board sports with iconic victories like Malo Guénolé's epic win at the renowned Punta Preta competition in Cape Verde.
This wing is undeniably the most efficient in waves, delivering the perfect blend of fluidity, control, and maneuverability.
Inspired by the sleek design of the Neutra Aramid, a market benchmark, this Perf Series version in Dacron retains that incredible glide while adding a laid-back edge.
The 2025 model upgrades glide and finesse in hand. The increased aspect ratio, combined with more segmentation, has allowed for a reduction of surface on the tips. This adjustment improves the wing's overall fluidity, boosting rotations and enhancing its lightweight feel. Pumping is more intuitive, making take-offs and relaunches easier.
The wing's exceptional on-demand neutrality allows for seamless, dynamic surfing. Its capacity to fade away during critical moments and instantly restore power makes the Neutra 2025 ideal for free-flying or wave riding with the wing in hand.
The roundness and finesse of its leading edge enable precise and ultra-radical control on the most technical sections of the wave. When the tips touch the water, their rounded design prevents catching water—an indispensable quality for wave riding and fast maneuvers.
Finally, its moderate dihedral prevents it from flipping over when free-flying. The Neutra settles effortlessly into the airflow and remains perfectly stable—a major advantage.
High-performing yet smooth and accessible, the Neutra 2025 is perfect for riding without a harness, thanks to its natural ability to release excess power. Its upwind capabilities make reaching the waves effortless, allowing for unforgettable downwind sessions.
Ranging from 2 to 5.5 m², it offers a shape tailored to each wind condition, providing flawless coherence throughout the quiver.

Buying guide
For Whom?
Glide lovers, freeflyers, and wave riders—welcome!
The Neutra is designed for those seeking a lightweight, responsive, and ultra-high-performance wing without compromising on accessibility. Whether you’re a motivated beginner, an experienced rider, or an expert looking for finesse, this wing adapts to everyone with its forgiving and intuitive design.
Set with a carbon boom, it offers unmatched maneuverability and immediate power transfer, making it ideal for those who want to refine their style and explore new limits, both in waves and downwind.
You don’t need the strength of a lumberjack or the stamina of a marathon runner to enjoy its potential. The Neutra breathes, supports you, and helps you progress effortlessly.
What for?
The Neutra excels in every aspect of wave riding:
Take-off between waves: Its lightness makes pumping easy and ensures an intuitive start. The rounded tips help you flip the wing smoothly in between two waves.
Intuitive surfing: Its precise and fluid handling allows for radical turns without compromising your style.
Jumps: It pulls just enough for take-off, while its rigidity ensures high jumps and smooth gliding. The tips also aid in clean landings, making transitions seamless.
Maneuvers: Perfect for transitions thanks to its in-flight discretion—tacks, jibes, 360s, etc., are fluid and under full control.
It’s also an exceptional wing for freefly, ideal for effortless cruising. Its breathtaking neutrality allows it to disappear as you glide, and power is instantly accessible whenever you need it.
Bonus: While it shines in downwind runs, a major advantage is its impressive upwind ability, letting you link multiple runs with ease.
Neutra or Droid?
Neutra: Perfect for those prioritizing smooth surfing and fluid glide. If you want to ride gracefully with style, this is your pick.
Droïd: Compact, powerful, and maneuverable, it’s ideal for freestyle enthusiasts who crave explosive energy. Perfect for tricks, aggressive freeriding, and still excellent in surf conditions.
Each wing has its unique personality, but both share the same DNA: performance.
Understanding the GONG range
- Plus: A versatile, accessible wing designed for progression.
- Droïd: Explosive power for surfing and freestyle.
- Neutra: The fluid wing for surfing, freefly, and endless carving.
Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, the Neutra is here to elevate your ride. Lightweight, smooth, and precise—simply irresistible.

Boom or Rigid Handles?
What size?

Don’t overestimate the power of wings. A rider weighing 85kg will need 15-20 knots with a 5m² wing to fly at first. After about fifteen sessions, they will be able to fly at 15 knots with a 5m². And if they are athletic, they will pump hard and lift off at 12 knots in 5m² to get through lulls at 8 knots. This is a learning process and takes time.

Which material?
The choice of leading edge material depends mainly on your program and goals. If you prefer cruising in freeride, are just starting tricks, or enjoy surf and freefly, a Dacron leading edge and central strut will be ideal.
If, on the other hand, you love riding hard with a wing that pulls powerfully and will fly sky high, don’t hesitate! The UPE Aramid will provide absolute stiffness with undeniable advantages. The performance gap is significant—it goes faster, higher, and turns incredibly well thanks to its thinner diameters.
Finally, to push even further into the performance realm, combine the UPE Aramid structure with the ultra-rigid Code X canopy fabric. You’ll boost your performance by 15%, reaching the pinnacle of high-level wing performance.
Which quiver?
The Neutra wing works with everything but pairs especially well with a compact, lightweight board—or a Cruzader for light wind.
Here are the typical pairings:
- Cruzader for light wind
- Mint for freeride
- Stunt for freestyle
- Mint, a short Cruzader, or a Lethal for freefly
- Lethal for surf
Naturally, it’s best matched with a performance-oriented foil, with an 85cm mast. Ideal foil pairings:
- Veloce HDW or Sirus for light wind
- Fluid for freeride
- Ypra Surf-Freestyle for freestyle
- Veloce for freefly
- Curve or Fluid for surf
To complete the setup, you can (and should) add a SUP or a surf foil for no-wind days, a kite to get airborne and probably a quiver of surfboards for those perfect waves. But if you’re venturing into wing foiling, chances are you already have some of these toys in your garage.
What leash?
A wing leash from 5'5" to 8' is ideal. Preferably one designed specifically for winging, and of the coiled-type leash style. A short leash makes it easier to grab the wing quickly. A long leash keeps the wing further away from foil drops in the sail, giving it more space to move.
Always check its condition before each session and replace it every year. It’s your life vest.
Don’t let your wing flap around in the wind at the end of the leash, it’s not indestructible! Also, in the waves, don’t hold onto the wing with the leash, it will break or you may injure yourself.
Harness or not?
With a Neutra, the harness is not really unnecessary. It’s perfect to ride without one. Riding without a harness feels liberating as you have full freedom of movement. It’s a very pleasant feeling.
That being said, you’ll need to use a smaller wing and do shorter reaches to avoid tiring out your arms. This also means you'll have to pump frequently to take off again.
All our wings come with harness line attachments.
This gives you the option to use a harness or not.
Therefore, if you prefer to ride powered up, using a harness is almost essential if you don’t want your sessions to be cut short after an hour. Setting up the harness lines is very easy (refer to our tutorials on the forum). We suggest using the least rigid and most minimal harness, with either a small hook or a windsurf-style hook for better comfort.
Lengths of 24 to 28 cm between the strut and the V-shape’s end will be perfect.
A length of 30 to 32 cm makes learning easier. A small diameter line and a thin sheath are essential, as windsurfing lines, for example, are too heavy and rigid, making them dangerous during tacks and other tricks.
So it’s up to you to decide if the sensation and aesthetics take priority over performance. But more and more riders are using harnesses, as the trend is towards more powerful wings and higher performance.
Soft handles, semi-rigid handles, rigid handles, or boom?
The choice is yours, but the trend towards the boom is clear:
- Soft textile handles for beginners, for surfing, for freefly, to protect yourself and the board, and for a very light wing.
- Semi-rigid textile handles for a good level of performance thanks to precise and responsive handling, as well as better energy transmission during pumping, for example.
- Carbon rigid handles to keep it light and generate stronger traction. Handling is extremely precise. The pistol grip on the front handle is very comfortable and practical.
- Boom for maximum power and a true “windsurf” sensation. You have the freedom to grip the wing as you wish. It allows for more tricks and a broader range of use, all while being very lightweight, contrary to what you might think.
Handles offer very compact storage in a backpack, while the boom is stored lengthwise. However, it's worth noting that you can fit just as many boom wings as handle wings in a board bag. The boom doesn’t take up more space, it just occupies it differently.

Windows or full canopy?
Wings without windows are less expensive, 200g lighter, and more compact for storage.
Wings with windows are safer, more rigid, and offer quicker responsiveness.
For beginners, a wing with windows is essential because safety takes priority over the few grams you might lose. The windows are not for sightseeing: they are designed to let you see a silhouette to prevent executing a dangerous turn that could cause a collision.

Integrated harness leash attachment system
Two discreet harness attachment points, ideally placed on the strut, allow you to connect your GONG harness line for hours of fatigue-free riding.
Semi-rigid textile Downwind handle.
Almost rigid, it greatly enhances the control of the wing in both freefly and surfing.
The new oval stitching and reinforcements on the downwind handle anchor points help distribute the forces more evenly across the leading edge, ensuring long-lasting durability.
The Dyneema leash attachment is now located on the intrados side of the DW handle, preventing the leash from getting in the way while freeflying.
A set of rigid carbon handles.
A set of rigid carbon handles is included with your wing. The rear handle is larger to adjust the placement of your hand.
The integrated GFS system allows you to upgrade your wing with a boom or textile handles to adapt your wing to your level or specific needs.
Quick inflation with the One Pump system
The leading edge and central strut are connected by the One Pump system for quick inflation in one go. The clip then locks the airflow between the bladders to ensure the wing’s buoyancy in case of a leak in the strut or leading edge. This feature is vital for safety.
The inflation valve on the leading edge is doubled on the strut for immediate deflation and compact storage. Using One Pump, you inflate through the leading edge only in a few seconds and deflate just as quickly by unscrewing both valves.
Fiberglass micro-struts
Micro fiberglass struts on the trailing edge: light and very effective in preventing flapping. They maintain the profile all the way to the trailing edge for optimal airflow.
Lightweight and strong, they are easily replaceable to keep your wing in top condition year after year.
Camera safety loops
To capture your wing sessions, we’ve added a discreet nylon leash attachment on each tip and near the strut to secure your camera mounted on the leading edge or strut with a Flymount, allowing you to ride without stress. The leash attachment is strategically placed so it doesn’t interfere with your camera’s field of view! You’ll be able to create stunning shots and share them without the risk of losing your camera!
Repair kit
A repair kit, including bladder patches and fabric, is included with your wing.
Carry bag
A durable and practical backpack comes with your wing. It’s perfectly designed with a large U-shaped zipper for easy storage, a ventilation grid, comfortable padding, compression straps, and straps for the pump (not provided).
Don't forget to bring a pump!
