Calling all foilers going for the most technical and committed tricks—the Ypra Surf-Freestyle V3 front wing is here to push your limits with spectacular pop and repop!

With its low wingspan and mid-aspect design, it allows you to go harder than ever in freestyle. Its rail-to-rail capability is truly incredible, making it ideal for explosive takeoffs.

This compact design offers a perfect combination of responsiveness and forgiveness, making it great for surfing in tight spaces or choppy waters. You can snap, relaunch, throw airs, and do tricks in the wave endlessly. It’s really perfect for a Surf-Freestyle type of wave riding in onshore and messy line-ups.

A foil with two faces—on one side, unparalleled responsiveness, and on the other, surprising forgiveness with loads of lift, despite its incredibly compact surface, just like the rest of the new V3 range, which offers a lift/glide balance that's out of this world.

Ypra Surf-Freestyle front wing

The Ypra Surf-Freestyle is the team’s new go-to front wing for Surf-Freestyle competitions. Its design followed a clear, uncompromising goal: to push the limits in freestyle. This front wing is for experienced riders who want a playful, relatively fast foil with ultra-powerful pop.

What enables you to go big is not only its responsiveness but also the control that allows you to fully commit to a move. This is where the Ypra Surf-Freestyle truly shines. The wing is designed to never stall and works over a wide range of attack angles. No surprise stalls or tricky takeoffs, even in light wind.

It’s made with ultra-stiff HM carbon construction to perfectly transmit the power of the pop and takeoffs.

And like all our V3 foils, the self-tightening connection has been redesigned to ensure a perfect fit, even after hours of riding. Besides, it’s more ergonomic because it only has two screws accessible from beneath the foil.

Two Recommended Stabs

You can pair the Ypra Surf-Freestyle front wing with the Freestyle or Surf-Freestyle stabs.

For a setup that allows a mix of surfing and freestyle, opt for the Ypra Surf-Freestyle stab with a slightly more elongated outline, a classic angle for better glide, and a short fuselage connection that's less extreme than the Freestyle stab, offering more stability when surfing. This setup is perfect for ripping in multi-peak line-ups with non stop turns and airs, the opposite of a setup dedicated to freefly.
The Freestyle stab for a setup entirely dedicated to Freestyle, where pop comes with just a slight release of pressure on the front. The pop is insanely intense. This stab is powerful with an ultra-short fuselage. Forget about just cruising and hovering over the spot with this kind of stabilizer—the idea here is to break free from the water in a flash and send it. And the repop is even more brutal!
