The new range of high aspect foils and the new V3 fuselage raises a lot of questions to which Patrice, GONG boss & shaper, answers you in person.

New high aspect front wings
GONG user: What about a Fluid XL-H V3 to replace a Curve XL-H? I like the Curve XL-H for its low end and the fact that it never stalls. So for light conditions it's great. But something is missing a little in glide.
Patrice: The Fluid H V3 will be largely as comfy at low speed as the Curve H V2. The gain with our new profiles is considerable. With the Fluid H V3 you will have a livelier and faster foil. Note that you could also go down a size.
GONG user: Why upgrade to Veloce H V3 when you have V2?
Patrice: The glide is crazy and it takes off super early. 40% better than the Veloce H V2 on all counts, that’s huge.

HM Mast
GONG user: Is there an improvement on the new HM V3 mast compared to the HM V2? And in particular, is there a difference between the HM 85 V2 mast and the HM 85 V3 in its 15 cm thickness version?
Patrice: The difference is significant at equal thickness, the profile is different, the outline is different, the morphing is different and the top plate is different.

Alu mast
GONG user: Hello, I haven't understood yet. Will there be a V3 aluminum mast?
Patrice: The part between the aluminum mast and the fuselage (editor's note: Mast Fuselage Connector) exists in V2 and V3. Quite simply.

Evolution of the fuselage
GONG user: Will GONG liquidate all V2 front wings and stabs and only offer V3 foils and stabs? Or will the “old V2 models” still be made in the future?
Patrice: To be super transparent: we make the same profits on V2 and V3 foils.
The molds for the V2 being amortized, we can now offer you an attractive discount on these foils.

If you want V2s, we make V2s.
If you prefer V3s, we make V3s.

Je te souhaite une bonne journée !
Pour ma part je ne veux qu’un seul et unique foil pour faire de la wing. Actuellement en véloce V2 750, stab véloce V2 140 si je passe en V3 et moins 200cm2 ça fait petit pour assurer toutes mes sessions (même pour ma 80L et mes 60kg).
Bref, pas envie de rester coller à l’eau, le lift serait-il comparable avec mon set up actuelle? Ou est t’il plus raisonnable dans ce cas de faire véloce V3 740 stab 113 plutôt que, Veloce V3 590 stab 113 (ou pour gagner un peu 136).
Questionnement bonus: mat V3 14mm OK pour 2-3 sauts de temps en temps?
