What makes a good beginner kite?
The Display and Unik kites from the Perf Series range are freeride kites that share many qualities valued by beginner kitesurfers:
- Stability and forgiveness: very steady and predictable behavior.
- Easy relaunch: essential when starting out.
- Smooth, progressive power: no brutal pull, so you keep control, with very intuitive depower.
- A wide wind range: solid bottom-end power to boost low wind, easy upwind riding, and efficient depower at the top end.
- Strength: robust yet lightweight construction, since learning involves crashes.

Display or Unik?
Two kites developed primarily for freeride, but with different concepts: the Display has a 3-strut shape, while the Unik is a single-strut kite, lighter and more efficient in light wind.
- Display: the freeride kite par excellence, this is the most versatile model regardless of skill level or conditions! With solid low-end power and a 3-strut shape that stays stable in strong wind, the Display has a very wide wind range, always with outstanding ease of use! Intuitive freeride, whatever the wind strength.
- Unik: also a freeride kite, but developed primarily to make light wind or underpowered sessions easier. Its single-strut design gives it impressive lightness as well as great stability across the whole wind window. You feel safe even under 10 knots. If you often ride in low-wind spots and like switching from TT to surf to foil, this model is perfect for you!
