GEAR: GET RADICAL WITH THE FLUID FRONT WING!

The moderate aspect shape of the Fluid opens a dimension where maneuverability and radicality define your movements on the water!

This front wing is optimized to support the most radical and innovative intentions.Engaging in solid turns, tightening them at will and even placing a snap at the top of the wave, this is the core program of the new Fluid.

Its moderate ratio with fine tips is an invitation to rail to rail. Linking turns comes with intense sensations with the top speed that the Fluid allows. Every turn has the potential to be a huge power turn. The Fluid is a very playful front wing for experienced foilers. Getting in the water with the feeling that anything is possible is the first reason to be of its new shape.

A shape for surfers

The shape of the Fluid is built around an ovalized outline. This type of elliptical outline allows a very harmonious distribution of the surface area between a lifty center and fine tips for a very intuitive and above all progressive rail to rail. This has always been the Fluid’s DNA. But it is by deviating from this 2-dimensional vision of the outline that we can see the extent of the qualities of this shape:

  • The Fluid has a moderate volume which is positioned in the second third of the upper surface, which offers a lot of lift at low speed and lengthens the glide. You can use smaller wing surfaces for even more maneuverability. Or you can aim for a really simpler foil to pump because the wing lifts and “never” stalls: it’s really forgiving.
  • The slightly negative dihedral in the center with tips that go up makes this front wing very playful: the tips remain loose in the water so you can go for snaps or very tight turns, drifts in kite foiling or on off the lips.
  • The very specific camber of this compact wing ensures maximum maneuverability. This camber with raised tips also allows you to do beachstarts without damaging the tips on the bottom as you could with a Curve which has very deep tips.
  • The max width has been moved back for more top speed, but also more roundness in its behavior (less ON/OFF).

Recovery and re-pop

It’s a profile that allows you to hook on very cleanly, in surfing it’s obvious, when you breach the front wing, the foil goes down barely 15 cm before recovering flight right away. In freestyle it is obviously a very big advantage which allows you to get going again much more quickly, even linking combos together.

Set-up and uses

With a Freestyle stab you will make the tightest turns of your life. Whereas with a Fluid H stab it will be smoother and really fast. So adapt your Fluid to your use.

And for the pros? This is the front wing to do a quick snap on top of the wave, to drift. Each lip is an excuse to tweak an air, release a tip, slide on the top… Far from restraining them, the Fluid will give pros a huge boost in their way of surfing. And it shows on their smiles!

The Fluid is the queen of modern surfing, electric and “crazy”, or smooth and fluid, depending on how you set the tone.
