Kluber: The ultimate pumping board

The Kluber has been designed to offer maximum efficiency in flight. Its optimized shape, flat rocker, and HDCC carbon construction ensure record-breaking efficiency. With exceptional stiffness, unrivaled lightness, and outstanding durability, its streamlined outline eliminates any excess to maximize pumping efficiency. The reduced thickness brings the rider closer to the foil, improving foot precision without compromising rigidity thanks to our technology.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening front wing connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the front wing, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the front wing, even after long sessions.
This fitting only requires two screws under the FW, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle, already validated for several years on our V2 stabs, is now available in an optimized version on the front wings.

A real plus for daily use!

HDCC Technology

These boards have the high-performance HDCC (High Density Core & Carbon) technology. The manufacturing process is akin to that of a foil wing. The board is manufactured from aerospace-grade prepreg carbon fiber and a high-density foam core with mechanical properties that ensure structural cohesion and hydrophobicity in case of damage.

In a nutshell, it’s strong, stiff, and very lightweight

Industry-standard prepreg carbon fibers are positioned on the high-density foam core. Carbon H-stringers and full prepreg boxes are also placed before compression in a steel mold heated to 155°C to polymerize the resin. Mold pressure combined with high temperature ensures perfect layer cohesion to guarantee exemplary performance and durability.

Subsequently, the board is extracted from the mold. Board logos are applied. A thin layer of matte varnish is then applied to protect the board. The pad is glued, and the board is ready to ride!

This technology involves no sanding, hence no production waste. There's no sanding of the shape as it's molded, no sanding of the laminations which are pressed and fused, and no sanding of the hot coats which are integrated directly into the molding process. It's extremely costly to implement but the result is impeccably clean.

All our prototyping phases are tested on our own test benches. HDCC boards easily pass resistance tests with loads exceeding several hundred kilograms on the front foot.

The lower price compared to this exceptional technology is due to the efficiency of construction. Less human labor (about a quarter) equals lower expenses. Simply, with this board, you're primarily investing in well-assembled premium materials.

Which size?

When it comes to pumping, board size is based more on your skill level than your weight. A 95 cm board will be easier for a beginner, while an intermediate or expert rider will get better performance from an 80 cm board.

Basically, more length helps with foot placement hesitations, while less length offers lighter weight and better performance. It’s all about finding the right balance and making the right choice, as usual.

For the front wing, the goal is to go for the largest surface to get up on the board without waves or wind. As your skills grow, you might reduce the surface area to chase more speed.
