Foil Curve H FG V3 - Carbone 85

Program
The foil for carving and surfing that’s easy to pump with a formidable drive.
Presentation
A magical rail to rail, along with an impressive glide and a truly comfortable lift, is what the Curve H FG foil stands out for. Qualities that make it very accessible despite being a performance wing.
It is the foil of choice for mixing simplicity and the advantages of high aspect foils; be it for winging, surf foiling, kite foiling, dockstarts, or even wake foiling. It excels in carves, jumps, pumping, freeflying… impressive versatility without any complexity.
In its DNA we find the outline of the Curve which makes it a bestseller. Its very rounded leading edge that sets the tips back, makes for a very healthy drive in carves, be it in the low end or at high speed. It's not a front wing for snappy turns: it's a carver. It has grip and won't lose the line of your carve. You can feel a form of constant traction in any trajectory, as opposed to with a more sneaky behavior.
The generous profile in the center offers a lot of lift. It takes off super early and the glide is fabulous on a huge range of speeds. In surfing it’s a game changer. Pumping is very effective without being technical: This magical profile “never” stalls!
The development of this new edition has been pushed to the extreme to offer you even more performance. Combined with our new self-tightening interlocking system and our round V3 fuselage, the gain is absolutely crazy.
In its Fiber Glass version, this shape offers all its benefits in a budget-friendly technology.
FRONT WING
The Curve H FG has an aspect ratio of 8.4 which makes it a performance wing without compromising its accessibility. It’s a front wing that carves, accelerates and glides while maintaining incredible low end and pumping capabilities.
The outline of the Curve H FG is curved towards the back to move its center of lift back. In addition to providing stability in carves, this artificially reduces the front to rear span to free the foil in yaw: the foil carves and turns short even at low speed.
On the wave it carves hard without overwhelming the surfer thanks to a high moderate aspect that perfectly blends glide and maneuverability. The behavior is very healthy; it goes from one rail to the other naturally. This moderation gives it a lot of versatility which makes it the perfect foil to access the high aspect shapes.

STAB
The Curve H FG stabilizer has an aspect ratio of 8.3, providing great performance without compromising accessibility and maneuverability.
The Curve H FG stab’s elliptical outline centers its lift and refines the tips to unlock the rail-to-rail of the foil while retaining lift.

Buying guide
For whom ?
You’re at the point where you’re flying all the time in wing foiling, you nail all your jibes and free fly on waves, in short you know how to wing foil and want to go next level? You’d like to go for a higher aspect ratio to gain in glide and average speed, but without switching to a pro-only front wing? Then the Curve H FG is made for you as it is the easiest access to high aspect front wings! Its very predictable behavior, its natural rail to rail and its high lift make it very accessible for a front wing with such a high potential of performance.
For what?
Initially developed for wave riding in surf/SUP/wing foiling, this wing finds its place in all foiling disciplines, from dockstart to kite foiling depending on size. It is the versatile high aspect front wing that offers you the best combo of maneuverability and lift.
Designed specifically for glide, this foil is not intended for jumps or extreme maneuvers. If you're looking to explore air freestyle, we recommend choosing the carbon models.
What size ?
The Curve H FG's low-speed lift means you don't need a lot of surface area to have fun. These are very forgiving and accessible foils for takeoff which allow you to reduce the surface area without losing low end.
You can:
- Undersize it to gain reactivity and speed.
- Stay on your usual sizing to boost the glide and engage in long carves with a lot of glide!
- Switch to larger front wings, to have an ultra-early takeoff, while maintaining impressive glide!
Some generalities on the choice of front wing sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your foiling discipline, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot but also your board and your wing.
When pumping, you want as much surface as possible to be able to get going without the help of a wave or wind. By improving your technique and gaining more speed, you can reduce the surface area you need.
In surf/SUP foiling, the perfect surface area would be small enough to turn with ease but large enough to take off and pump comfortably.
In wing foiling, all sizes work. The heavier the rider and/or the lighter the wind, the larger the size. Conversely, riders who are lighter and comfortable with takeoff can look for smaller sizes.
When kite foiling, you want to avoid wingspans of more than 80 cm because the counter-heel is significant and the tips will easily breach the surface. Favor lower aspect ratio front wings to start because they provide a lot of lift for a limited wingspan.

What stab?
We recommend pairing a Curve H stab with your Curve H front wing, as these two components are designed for the same program and optimized to work in perfect harmony.
General information on the choice of stab sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your foiling discipline, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot but also your front wing.
A larger stab will make take-off easier because the foil will generate a significant torque which will tend to give it a significant angle of attack. This also implies more front foot pressure.
A smaller stab will be more technical on takeoff but will boost speed and maneuverability. We also lose some front foot pressure, which means having to move the foil forward in the boxes to regain this stability.
Always adjust the size of the stab to the size of the front wing to obtain a balanced flight and functioning harmony between these two components.
