Program

The Mister EPS Pro is a new vision of surf foil: a long, elegant board inspired by the sweeping lines of 70s surfing, designed for fast paddling, early take-offs, trimming, smooth carving, and stylish cruising in an extended mid-length foil approach.

Presentation

The Mister EPS Pro draws from the most iconic roots of surfing: the sweeping lines of the 70s, longboards, surf rails, beak noses, smooth carves, and a constant pursuit of style in trajectory. But the Mister is not just a surfboard equipped with foil boxes. It is a true fusion of two worlds: the aesthetics and stance of classic surfing combined with the demands of modern foiling.

Its program is clear: paddle hard, take off early, choose your line, trim, carve smoothly, and let the foil draw large trajectories. The Mister does not seek abrupt turns, snaps, or aerials. Instead, it invites you to hold a line, extend your stance, exit carves with speed, and surf with more presence, style, and beauty underfoot.

Its long, taut, and very surf-like outline provides natural paddling speed and a real ability to position early. You can chase bumps, passes, long swells, small peeling waves, or soft waves with a more poised, readable, and gliding approach. The pleasure begins with the paddle: choose a wave, accelerate, stand up, and let the board take its line.

The beak nose immediately gives the Mister its identity. It provides a strong visual signature, useful volume at the front, and that classic longboard feel without unnecessarily widening the shape. The pinched point nose reduces clutter in front of the feet and maintains a sleek, elegant, and fast silhouette.

The rails are true surf rails: round, smooth, continuous, without the classic surf foil bevels. Unlike very technical faceted shapes, the Mister embraces a more organic, fluid line, closer to a masterful surfboard. The marked upper rail edge, nearly flat deck, and continuous rail offer a very different visual read in the surf foil range.

Its extremely narrow rear OFO and thin tail free up curves despite the length. The Mister allows for large carves without the board saturating at the angle or blocking the trajectory. The baby square tail and its specific rear facet provide a strong visual signature while maintaining the finesse necessary for foil piloting.

The rocker and kick tail remain designed for surf foil. The Mister retains its surf inspiration, but its behaviour is not that of a classic surfboard: it must launch, take off cleanly, fly, manage contacts, and remain controllable despite its length. The specific kick tail helps the board release on contact and maintains control in phases where a long board might become cumbersome.

The Mister is surfable on contact. Touching the water is not a no-go or game over: you can land, glide, reposition, pull into a nice pocket, and rediscover the pleasure of water contact without losing the foil intent. It is a board that embraces this more surf-like relationship with water while retaining the freedom of flight.

It naturally pairs with glider foils or large-span foils. Its longboard tempo matches a foil that carries, glides, accelerates out of carves, and allows time to draw the trajectory. The aim is not to break the line but to extend it.

Constructed in EPS Pro, the Mister retains lightness, responsiveness, and direct sensations despite its length. The carbon/glass construction avoids the inertia of a large, soft board and keeps it lively, precise, and enjoyable underfoot.

The new 5 mm Ridge Traction Pad provides very secure grip on essential pressure zones, with firm traction and real comfort underfoot. The Mister comes with a three parts full deck pad and a tail pad that allows for a continuous grip surface.

The Mister EPS Pro is a unique board in surf foil: more aesthetic, more cultural, more surf in its codes, yet designed to perform in foil with precision. A board for those who want to paddle fast, take off early, draw long lines, carve smoothly, and rediscover in flight a part of the beauty of great surfboards.

GONG | Surf Foil Board Mister EPS Pro
Shape
OUTLINE

The outline of the Mister is inspired by the large surfboards of the 70s, with long, sleek, and elegant lines designed for fast paddling, early take-offs, and setting large trajectories. The length provides natural speed, trim, and a unique visual presence in flight.

The front and rear OFO remain very contained to maintain a slim silhouette and allow for smooth carves despite the length. The Mister does not seek the easy width of a large platform: it favours line, glide, speed out of carves, and a very surf-like feel underfoot.

Rocker

The rocker of the Mister draws inspiration from a large surfboard but is adapted to the constraints of foiling. It allows for early take-offs, fast paddling, and maintains a clean glide before lift-off, without turning the board into just a surfboard equipped with boxes.

The rocker line supports long trajectories and smooth pressure. It promotes a steady, progressive ride with natural speed while maintaining the necessary control during contact or relaunch phases. The Mister loves established lines, bumps, passes, and long diagonals.

NOSE

The beak nose immediately gives the Mister its identity. It provides a strong visual signature, inspired by classic longboards, while maintaining useful volume at the front to enhance paddling comfort and early take-offs.

The nose remains pinched in a point nose to avoid unnecessarily loading the front. It retains the aesthetic presence of a large board without creating too much clutter in front of the feet. This fine outline entry contributes to speed, elegance in flight, and the sensation of long glides.

DECK

The deck of the Mister takes inspiration from classic surfboards: an almost flat, readable, and elegant line, without a concave cockpit or forced technical effect. The board embraces a more surf-like, organic, and timeless aesthetic.

The marked upper rail edge contributes to this identity. It provides a clear shape reading, very different (even inverted) from faceted surf foil boards. Underfoot, the Mister maintains a natural, continuous feel, designed for trimming, laying down long supports, and accompanying the foil in large carves.

Hull & rails

The Mister stands out with its true surf rails: round, smooth, continuous, without the classic surf foil bevels. It doesn't try to mimic the technical and angular shapes of modern surf foils. It embraces a more organic, fluid line, closer to a surfboard.

The hull is still designed for foiling: it needs to paddle quickly, launch early, take off cleanly, and handle contact phases. The Mister is surfable on contact: touching the water is not a no-go. You can land, glide, reposition, and regain a more direct connection with the water while maintaining the freedom of the foil.

TAIL

The tail of the Mister is very thin, with an extremely narrow rear OFO and a specific faceted baby square tail. This slenderness frees up the carves despite the length and allows for large carves without the tail blocking the trajectory.

The kick tail is specific to foiling. It doesn't spoil the aesthetic outline of a large surfboard but helps the board release cleanly on contact and remain controllable in phases where the length could become cumbersome. The Mister isn't about snaps or aerials: it extends the carves, maintains speed out of carves, and accompanies large, gliding foils in their natural tempo.

GONG's vision of mid-length surf foiling

For several years, we have been developing our own vision of mid-length surf foiling: longer boards that paddle faster and unlock waves, swells, and wind bumps that compact shapes don't always catch efficiently. This approach has fundamentally changed the way we surf foil in small waves, soft swells, wind chop, shallow spots, and long, low-energy lines.

With the NOTW, we pioneered a more accessible, more glider-oriented, and more energy-efficient style of surf foiling. Designed for ultra-early takeoffs, often before the wave even breaks, it delivers greater paddling speed, more stability under the chest, and extra confidence at takeoff.

With the Mister, that vision evolves in a more surf-inspired, aesthetic, and culturally rooted direction. Its purpose isn't simply to fly longer or make marginal conditions easier. It brings the defining characteristics of 1970s surfboards into the world of foil: effortless trim, generous length, true surf rails, a classic beak nose, smooth carving turns, drawn-out lines, and the unmistakable beauty of a long board gliding with purpose.

The Mister isn't a traditional surfboard fitted with foil boxes. It's a genuine fusion of classic surfing heritage and the modern demands of foil design: a rocker optimized for paddling and early lift-off, a surf foil-specific kick tail, yet an outline, rail profile, and overall attitude that unmistakably belong to the world of surfing. The result is a unique board designed to fly with style while preserving the connection, flow, and presence of a true long board.

The experience begins with the paddle. You choose your swell, build speed progressively, get to your feet early, settle into trim, and let the board find its natural line. The Mister encourages you to extend your trajectory rather than constantly redirect it. You search for effortless speed, the perfect diagonal, a carve that accelerates naturally out of the turn, the bump that gives you fresh energy, a current line covered in bumps, or a long swell that lets you draw a clean, fully connected downwind line.

The larger Mister sizes open up a unique dimension in surf foiling: fast paddling, ultra-early takeoffs, pairing with glider foils or high-aspect wings, drawing long flowing arcs, and maintaining true elegance in flight. Their length doesn't make the board sluggish or passive, it brings rhythm, style, drive out of turns, and a calmer, more composed relationship with the water. Pure smoothness.

There's no need for a paddle or the unstable balance of standing while waiting. You paddle prone, sit comfortably between sets, read the ocean like you would on a classic surfboard, then lift into a long, effortless flight before returning to the lineup, reconnecting with the next set, or hunting down another wave. It remains a deeply surf-oriented approach from the very beginning, with all the freedom that foiling brings once airborne.

The Mister is also designed to be surfed in contact with the water. Touching down isn't a no-go or a game over. You can reconnect with the surface, glide, reposition yourself, pull into a beautiful pocket, rediscover the pleasure of surfing the face, then let the foil seamlessly take over again. It's a different way of surf foiling, less disconnected from the water, more organic, and undeniably more elegant.

  • The 5'9 is the shortest board in the Mister range. It retains the model's distinctive style in a compact format while offering a livelier, easier-to-handle feel for riders who want the Mister spirit with less swing weight.
  • The 6'9 fully embraces the extended mid-length concept, delivering greater paddling efficiency, more natural speed, a stronger presence underfoot, and the perfect rhythm for glider foils, long drawn-out lines, and smooth carving turns.
  • The 7'9 is the purest expression of the Mister philosophy: a true longboard-inspired surf foil designed for long-period swells, wind bumps, tidal passes, prone downwinders, peeling small waves, and riders looking to rediscover, through foil, some of the timeless grace and elegance of classic longboard surfing.

New Ridge traction pad

The new 5 mm Ridge Traction Pad delivers secure, comfortable grip across the key stance areas. Its texture locks your feet in place, reduces micro-slips and enhances control during the most technical phases: pumping, committed turns, low landings and acceleration.

Its three-piece layout always includes the boomerang pad, creating a continuous grip surface across the deck. This configuration provides greater comfort when moving around the board, during take-offs and whenever your foot placement changes quickly.

The circular perforations further reduce weight while improving traction underfoot, bringing your feet closer to the board. The result is a board that feels livelier, more responsive and more connected under your feet.

EPS Pro Technology

Light weight, responsiveness, and targeted reinforcement.

EPS Pro technology is designed for riders seeking the lightest possible feel, maximum responsiveness, and direct feedback underfoot. Its epoxy carbon/fiberglass construction over a high-density EPS core concentrates reinforcement only where loads are greatest, eliminating unnecessary weight.

  • 3D-designed shape developed with CAD software for precise control of volume, outlines, and balance.
  • CNC pre-shaped blank ensuring perfect consistency from board to board.
  • Final hand-finishing using traditional templates to preserve the shaper's precision and attention to detail.
  • Epoxy carbon/fiberglass laminate over a 28 kg/m³ high-density EPS core, reinforced with a single 3 mm wooden stringer to combine light weight, durability, and lively flex.
  • Deck: one layer of 6 oz carbon fibre to maximize responsiveness, backed by one layer of 6 oz fiberglass for impact absorption.
  • Bottom: one full layer of 6 oz carbon fibre, reinforced with two staggered carbon patches around the US boxes to reduce the risk of damage in this highly loaded area.
  • Rails: the deck laminates overlap the bottom laminate, creating a three-layer carbon/fiberglass/carbon rail structure that maximizes impact and flex resistance while increasing overall stiffness and responsiveness.
  • Foil box construction: a 35 mm thick, 80 kg/m³ high-density PVC foam insert fully integrates the twin US boxes into a rigid, waterproof structural block.
  • Pigmented hot coat for premium finish quality, lower weight, and increased durability.
  • Hand-finished matte custom finish to minimize weight while maintaining clean hydrodynamic performance.
  • Light pink bottom finish to reduce heat build-up by reflecting more sunlight.

Even with this light-coloured finish, an EPS board should never be unnecessarily exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat.

Surf Foil Board Mister EPS Pro EPS PRO / 5'9 / Pink

Buying guide

For whom?

The Mister EPS Pro is designed for riders who want a more surf-oriented, aesthetic, and stylish approach to surf foiling. A long board, fast to paddle and visually striking, designed for long lines, smooth carves, and endless trajectories.

It suits advanced to pro riders who want to move away from the compact, edgy, and highly technical program to rediscover a more organic glide, more relaxed, inspired by long surfboards. The Mister is not about short snaps or airs: it seeks the perfect line, natural speed, lasting carves, and the beauty of the movement.

It will also appeal to good surfers who want to bring a true longboard culture to surf foiling: paddling, choosing a wave, getting up early, tracing a beautiful trajectory, and letting the foil extend the glide. It's as much a style board as it is a performance board.

To avoid if...

The Mister EPS Pro is not the best choice if the main goal is to have a compact board, lively in pumping, made for short snaps, rotations, airs, or very aggressive surf foiling with abrupt moves.

It's also not made for those looking for the easiest board possible in a purely utilitarian logic. The Mister remains a long board, with a real presence underfoot. It requires a love for lines, paddling, big carves, and smooth foils.

If the goal is to maximise the number of waves in soft conditions with the greatest ease, the NOTW will be more direct and accessible. If the goal is to surf with more style, more length, more surf culture, and a unique silhouette in flight, the Mister makes perfect sense.

For what?

The Mister EPS Pro is made for fast paddling, early take-offs, tracing long lines, and regaining a very surf-like attitude in foiling. It excels in small peeling waves, long swells, bumps, passes, clean diagonals, and conditions where glide, reading, and style matter more than pure radicality.

Its long outline, surf rails, beak nose, very thin tail, and foil-adapted rocker allow for effective paddling, clean take-offs, trim, smooth carves, and speed out of turns. The Mister loves glider foils, large lifting foils, and trajectories that allow time to draw.

It is also surfable on contact: placing the board, gliding, repositioning, pulling into a nice pocket, or reconnecting with the water is part of its appeal. The Mister is not a board that seeks to escape the water at all costs; it reconnects surf foiling with the sensations of a true surfboard.

It's the board for riders who want a beautiful large board in flight, capable of strong paddling, long take-offs, smooth carving, drawing beautiful lines, and modestly giving surf foiling a more aesthetic, cultural, and surf dimension.

Understanding the GONG range

`

What size board?

The choice of size depends on weight, level, spot, type of foil used, and desired style.

The 5’9 remains the shortest of the Mister range. It retains the style, length, and surf DNA of the shape while offering more manoeuvrability and less inertia than larger sizes. It's the most dynamic choice for those who want this style without switching to a very large board.

The 6’9 clearly pushes the extended mid-length program: more paddling, more natural speed, more presence underfoot, and an ideal tempo for smooth foils, long diagonals, and smooth carves.

The 7’9 fully embraces the Mister vision: a very aesthetic large surf foil board, made for long swells, bumps, passes, small peeling waves, and riders who want to find in foiling a part of the grace of large surfboards.

Refer to the size chart to choose the appropriate volume based on weight, level, usual conditions, and the foil used.

If hesitating between two sizes, opt for the larger one to gain in paddling, early take-off, glide, and style in small conditions.

Be aware that the length can be cumbersome in hollow or suddenly lifting waves.

Choose the smaller one only if the primary goal is to maintain more manoeuvrability, less inertia, and a more dynamic behaviour underfoot.
