The steroid version of the Chemical to perform in Comp.

Introduction

The Evolt is the doped-up version of the Chemical to perform in Competition.

A true emanation of our bestselling Shortboard, the Evolt is more radical but oriented for waves in the lower range of the Chemical. We are clearly in the ultra performance for daily waves conditions.

The hard lines in the back of the OFO gives it more acceleration and shorter curve radiuses. But the tail is very close to the Chemical so it finishes the turns cleanly without dragging a big butt around. So, we have more width at the lateral Fins and ditto at the tail: the mania is boosted, as the acceleration.

The work on the hull is important: single concave, very pronounced under the front foot, and double concave in front of the lateral, to finish up in V starting at the back foot. The rail-to-rail passage is instinctive and ultra-lively. And this heavily marked V gives optimum water release for throwing spray.

The Evolt has a rocker that’s more accentuated in the nose than the Chemical. This curve releases the nose in the turns but also when preparing for heavy projections. You can really tighten up the curves at will.

This is the Shortboard to lay it on the line when competing!

Ideal Waves

Size: knee to waist up to a man sized.
Strength: it gives its best in “small” conditions.
Type: it goes everywhere.

In a nutshell

Rocker: pronounced on the nose for maximum maneuverability.
Rails: hard at the tail and round on the nose.
Volume: the bare minimum.
Outline: narrow Board and thinned out nose.
Tail: pure square tail for acceleration.
Nose: thin point nose to reduce inertia and facilitate radical moves.
Deck: domed for the thin rails.
Bottom: single concave to double concave to V.
Fins: thruster.

EPS Pro Surf technology

High-end materials: EPS blank, Epoxy resin, fiberglass and carbon fiber.
Materials chosen for their suitability to the requirements of our specifications.
100% Epoxy resin board on EPS foam blanks of 28kg/m³ (with 3mm wooden stringer).
Deck detail: 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass, 1 layer of 6oz carbon fiber .
Detail of the hull: 1 layer of 4oz fiberglass, 1 layers of 6oz carbon fiber, plus 1 patch of 4oz fiberglass reinforcement covering the tail and fin boxes.
Preshape with digital control, shape control using traditional templates, 100% hand finishing.
Matte finish for better glide, less susceptibility to scratches and a comp look.
This technology is easily repairable in the event of a ding, and has an excellent strength/nervousness/weight ratio highlighting all the technical qualities of the shape.
It is THE modern technology, in fiberglass or carbon, currently popular with the most technical surfers looking for the best performance.
These boards are 100% shaped and glassed in our factory in Asia which strictly replicates our methods developed and tested in our workshop in France.

These boards are equipped with a leash plug and 3 FCS II fin boxes: the highest box standard on the market. You can clip your fins into the boxes without using any tools. Depending on your desires and your surfing style, the FCSII fin catalog then allows you to go for pro model fins signed by emblematic surfers.

The question of the pad often comes down to an aesthetic choice for the look of your board. But what seems like luxury to non-pros is actually a huge help.
