The pack’s been designed to be super lightweight and compact. It fits neatly into your car trunk and checks in easily as luggage, so you can hit the water wherever and whenever you want. All the foil parts tuck smartly into the built-in compartments of the HIPE bag, and the wing fits right alongside the board. The whole setup weighs under 18kg*, giving you extra room to throw in a wetsuit and/or another wing without busting standard long-haul baggage limits.

The 2025 HIPE First

Its width and generous volume make it super stable. This is exactly what you need during the phases before takeoff to take the time to find your bearings. It carries you without any problem to make your first runs on the water. You can learn to sail and understand how the wing and wind work on the water before flying. This is extremely reassuring for beginners to board and wind sports.

As it is inflatable, you feel safe. You do not fear shocks, neither for you nor for the equipment, which makes you try more things, and faster.

Once you feel confident, its optimized length helps you gain speed and take off smoothly. Its comfortable length/width ratio allows you to learn to pump (“activate” the wing to gain speed) without losing your balance.

The HIPE First 2025 is also the lightest progressive wingfoil board in the entire GONG lineup! Its unbeatable lightness makes life easier both on land and out on the water. Easier to carry on the beach and quicker to take off while riding, it helps you progress faster ;)

The 2025 Plus Wing

This is THE Allround wing of our range. The Plus that will help you progress faster than any other wing. It suits 80% of foilers, from beginners to experts.

The 2025 version packs even more punch, getting you up on foil earlier and delivering an unbeatable light, floaty feel. Thanks to its ultra-light weight, you can enjoy long, comfy sessions and nail your maneuvers more easily. Progress has never felt so good!

Perfectly balanced, it naturally locks into the wind. Its intuitive handling puts you on course right away — it’s almost like flying on autopilot!

With the GFS V2 system, the Plus grows with you: it comes with V2 semi-rigid textile handles but can instantly be upgraded with rigid handles or a boom (that’s detachable and fits right in your bag!), giving you even more control and stiffness without losing any comfort. Built for Freeride, but also a weapon for Race with its powerful profile, awesome for Waves and Freefly thanks to its lightness, and ready for Freestyle thanks to its compact build. The Plus does it all.

The V3 X-OVER foil

The X-Over is the super fun and intuitive foil to kick off and level up your winging game!
The X-Over foil is your perfect companion for those first wing flights. With its super smooth takeoff, rock-solid stability, easy control, and super predictable feel, it’s the ideal setup. Right from the first sessions, you’ll be flying at low speeds, cruising upwind, nailing your first moves — and before you know it, catching your first waves under wing!

What makes this V3 foil stand out is its long-term versatility. The X-Over has been completely redesigned with the goal of maintaining the accessibility that made it famous, while also pushing the limits of its capacity for progression. Its glide and forgiveness will help you keep pushing your skills without needing to switch foils.

The leash: safety first!

The pack comes with two leashes for a worry-free wing practice.

An ankle leash for the board:

Attached to the waist, it allows you to keep the board close to you safely in case of a fall, while keeping your feet free to move while riding.

A wrist leash for the wing:

Once released, a wing immediately takes flight dozens of meters away from you. With the wrist leash, you keep your wing within easy reach.

Buying guide

We have selected for you the ideal foil and wing size for the HIPE First you choose.

Just choose your board — we’ll handle the rest!

The HIPE First is a board dedicated to learning. Several volumes are available to meet the needs of each rider according to their level, physical condition, and intended use.

Beginner:

You can choose a volume large enough for easy floating, around your weight + 60 = volume.

Example: I weigh 80kg + 60 = 140L to float comfortably. So with 140L or more, it will be easy.

Comfort:

You can choose a volume sufficient for floating, around your weight + 30 = volume.

Example: I weigh 80kg + 30 = 110L to float. Which means that with 110L or more, I’ll be fine, provided I have a good winging level.

Which accessories?

Safety is absolutely crucial in board sports — even more so with foil riding.

Leashes are a must — think of them as your life jacket! Our HIPE First pack comes with both a wing leash and a board leash. Always check them before each session and replace them every year.

On top of that, to ride safely and in the best conditions, you should always wear a helmet and an impact vest.

We’ve also developed our Bodyguard clothing line to add extra protection against foil cuts — the risk is always there, and even higher when you’re learning. We seriously recommend gearing up and protecting yourself as much as you can!

Once your safety is ensured, it’s time to think about optimizing your equipment to support your progress! Here’s a smart selection of options to enhance your practice:

For an easier start, add a 65 cm aluminum mast to your quiver. The shorter length keeps you lower to the water, making learning safer and foil control way easier. Perfect for your first flights, shallow spots, or getting younger riders started.
If you’re ready to take things up a notch, upgrade your Plus wing with rigid handles for sharper control, or a detachable boom — the perfect setup for more precision and handling once you’ve nailed your hand positioning. You can also add harness lines and gear up with a harness to give your arms a break during long sessions or when the wind’s cranking.

Good to know:

Never leave your board in the sun, especially an inflatable board, and even less a black carbon plate which will heat up very quickly. You risk seeing it come unstuck!!!

Do not screw further than the bottom of the box, otherwise you will pass through the skin of the inflatable. We deliver non-opening US nuts, but be careful.

Never let your foil board take a beating in the waves, especially close to the beach. You must protect it from major efforts. A wave that carries your board and rolls it can do serious damage.
