Single strut, yes; basic, no. This 2026 version benefits from a thoroughly modernized shape: increased aspect ratio, significantly more open arc, refocused surface area, refined tips, and a 6-point bridle without pulleys. The result is a lively, precise, and very playful kite that turns cleanly and offers a rare level of precision in this category.
Ideal for light wind conditions, it provides instant traction. Its centered surface area offers solid support for early takeoffs, easy upwind performance, and sustained power even in the middle of a lull. It naturally positions itself in the wind window, remains remarkably stable at the zenith, and inspires a very welcome sense of security when the wind becomes gusty or offshore.
This kite is a delight in light wind conditions. Sleek, precise, and lightweight, it maintains a very clean feel and requires no technical skill to stay airborne. Its natural drift and ultra-stable flight allow you to sail exactly as you wish, even when the wind drops.
On a foil, it's a dream. Design mono latte : La Unik 2026 bénéficie d’un design mono latte allégé et modernisé. Le concept mono latte offre un poids contenu, une stabilité remarquable dans le light, un gonflage simple et un redécollage d’une facilité rare. La latte centrale conserve parfaitement le profil en cas de crash, même dans très peu de vent, ce qui sécurise énormément la pratique. Et elle reste simple à piloter comme un kite 3 lattes habituel.
Hybrid C shape : design moderne, stable, dynamique et prédictible. La projection augmente nettement (de 65% à 68 %), combinée à un arc beaucoup plus ouvert : plus de glisse, plus de surface utile au coeur de l’aile, un vol encore plus fiable, plus de power pour de meilleures performances dans le vent léger. Le rayon de rotation reste réduit : la Unik tourne super bien, avec un retour d’info hyper clean en barre.
Ratio augmenté passant de 4,3 à 4,5, apportant un vrai gain de finesse et de vitesse. L’aile traverse la fenêtre plus rapidement, remonte mieux au vent et offre un appui plus réactif en lightwind. Elle devient plus dynamique tout en conservant le feeling très sain qui caractérise la Unik. Ce ratio supérieur améliore également la portance en saut dans le vent léger : les pops sont plus propres, la courbe de sustentation est améliorée et les réceptions plus fluides.
Profil tolérant pour un maximum de stabilité en plage haute et en cas d’erreurs de pilotage et permettre une super ressource dans les loops.
Bord d’attaque fin au centre pour une aile rapide et fine dans l’air, tout en gardant de la section sur les tips pour conserver la surface et de la rigidité lors de fortes sollicitations dans les moves ou en plage haute.
Creux suffisant mais sans excès pour un bon fond de puissance à bas régime mais aussi une bonne accélération qui augmente le vent apparent. Cela réduit le besoin de faire travailler l’aile, c’est finalement moins technique, et on a moins besoin de toiler. Une plus petite aile est plus réactive, plus légère, plus simple à redécoller etc…
Outline freeride : bord d’attaque courbé pour un maximum de maniabilité et un redécollage “automatique”. L’aile peut rouler sur l’eau pour se remettre en position de décollage en tirant doucement un arrière.
Latte segmentée : plus rigide au niveau de la connexion avec le bord d’attaque : comportement très net, plus de puissance à surface égale, plus de stabilité en plage haute.
Tips plus fines, plus rondes, moins carrées et légèrement avancées. Cette évolution améliore considérablement la maniabilité en lightwind et rend la rotation sur l’oreille extrêmement propre car elle ne ralentit pas le vol. L’aile pivote avec douceur autour du coeur de la surface mais précision, sans surcharge ni tendance au backstall. Le pilotage devient plus direct, plus intuitif, tout en conservant la tolérance nécessaire dans les vents faibles.
Shape des tips sans vrillage interne pour une aile avec une rotation appuyée sur la surface des oreilles et peu sur le frein. On garde un kite rapide en rotation, qui ne backstall pas notamment en conditions limites (sous 6/8 nœuds).
Tension de spi légère et ajustée sur chaque section afin d’optimiser le pilotage du kite : plus réactif.
Retour en barre très facilitant : vous savez toujours où se place votre aile par une pression constante et dosée en barre. Elle n’est jamais absente. On peut se “cramponner” à la barre sans faire de grosses erreurs. Son retour d’information constant évite de suractionner la barre et faire de bétises.
Depower important pour une grande plage d’utilisation et une aile sécurisante. On a vraiment un full power bordé et un vrai choqué.
Shape “autostable” avec son faible ratio et son creux important qui “accroche” de l’air. Les tips reculées qui répartissent la masse un peu vers l’arrière du kite pour éviter les piqués/décrochages. On a en mains un kite prévisible et sain pour un maximum de sécurité.
Bridage 6 points sans poulies transforme la précision en barre. La triangulation isométrique répartit les tensions de manière uniforme sur tout l’arc, ce qui rend le kite très calé, très constant et extrêmement stable dans les rafales comme dans les vents asthmatiques. Le pilotage devient beaucoup plus direct, sans latence, avec une traction très régulière qui sécurise le rider notamment en foil et en surf.
The Unik is truly the kite for everyone. Easy and lightweight, it will simplify sessions for progressing kiters.

Powerful and single-strut, this is of course a kite best ridden in light wind conditions. Far from being a constraint, it's actually a pleasure to fly a reassuring and maneuverable kite.
Choose your kite by following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, skill level, and the board under your feet!
The length of your bar will directly impact the overall feel of your kite. Remember that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. This is especially important when using larger kites, particularly in very light winds, to maintain good responsiveness. The increased leverage compensates for this natural loss of responsiveness.
Keep in mind that, conversely, the smaller the kite, the faster it will turn! Therefore, using a smaller bar allows you to balance the kite's behavior and make it more responsive. You must take these parameters into account when choosing your bar size and adapt your riding style to your preferred feel and the conditions you encounter.
If we are looking for smooth and progressive steering, we must "undersize" the size of our bar.
If you prefer fast and responsive steering, you should choose a larger bar.
The key size is the 52cm bar. This is the most versatile bar and the one to choose if you only want one bar for a 7-9-12, 8-11, or 8-10-13 quiver.
When you have an extensive kite quiver, it's essential to also have a quiver of bars to maintain a balanced feel when switching from a small kite to a larger one. Also note that having two bars reduces wear and tear on the parts by half!

The recommendations above are based on the behavior of GONG kites. Since our bars are compatible with a wide range of kites, you can adapt your choice according to the type of kite you use.
Your FeelX bar comes standard with 80cm pre-lines, 19m of lines and 3m extensions already mounted.
The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.
By playing with its lengths, or even modifying them with our extensions (sold separately), you boost its versatility even more!
22m lines:
The "standard" lines length allows for a more progressive and predictable feel (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your wind window will be larger, thus providing more power at takeoff. This is the preferred setting for low and mid-range conditions, and for everyday freeride use.
19m lines:
Shorter lines offer a more direct kite response, increasing its responsiveness. The wind window will be shorter. This is the perfect setup for advanced kiters, ideal for wave riding or foiling, for added agility.
If you choose to sail with short lines, you will also gain comfort in high range.
Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting feel.
