The Ypra Freestyle V3 stab is a concentrate of pop, repop and explosiveness.

Presentation

The Ypra Freestyle is an exact replica of the stabilizer that propelled Benjamin Castenskiold to the title of freestyle world champion.

Born from a fusion of the DNA of the previous Ypra Freestyle and the Ypra Slalom, it combines radical explosiveness and high-speed control to push the limits of modern freestyle.

With an ultra-short wheelbase inherited from the Ypra Freestyle and a more locked-in behavior inspired by the Ypra Slalom, this stabilizer offers a perfect balance between freedom of rotation and directional stability.

Its pronounced nose-up angle retains all the nervousness and legendary pop of the original version, while its stability allows you to boost approach phases with confidence.

The almost zero inertia at takeoff instantly triggers the most technical moves: you load the front foot, you release, and the catapult launches you into orbit.

Comfortable in flight, ultra-clean on landing, it makes every repop more aerial, more controlled, more creative.

The Ypra Freestyle gives you the keys to an ultra playful, nervous and aerial style.

OUTLINE

The Ypra Freestyle stabilizer's 8.0 ratio is the perfect compromise between high-speed power, maneuverability, and efficiency.

The stabilizer thrust is aligned over the central three-quarters and is moved back at the winglets to provide more stability.

POWERFUL PROFILE

The Freestyle stab's profile is powerful, with a high angle of attack to provide maximum lift and instant pop as soon as you release the front foot.

This also gives it excellent support at more moderate speeds.

WINGLETS

The winglets of the Ypra Freestyle stabilizer are designed to offer a perfect balance between responsiveness and stability. Their carefully engineered profile reduces induced drag to maintain the necessary speed between tricks, while ensuring precise control during transitions and rotations.

Slightly angled backwards, they soften the naturally twitchy behavior of the short shaft and provide a unique feel: fast, fluid and perfectly controlled, tailored for committed freestyle.

ULTRA SHORT CONNECTION

The fuselage part of the Freestyle stabilizer is shortened to the extreme to make the foil as responsive as possible, hyper maneuverable, ultra-reactive for ultra-tight turns, and instant pop.

A more efficient foil shape

One of the key elements in the evolution of this range is the complete redesign of our foils to increase their structural and hydrodynamic qualities.

The V3 fuselage is:

The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.

Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.

SuperLock self-tightening system

The SuperLock self-tightening stab connection has been designed to guarantee perfect tightening even after hours long sessions.

The more pressure you put into the stab, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.

The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the stab, even after long sessions.

This fitting only requires two screws under the stab, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.

This tightening principle is already validated for several years on our V2 stabs.

A real plus for daily use!

Retro fitting

The entire range, from the fuselage, to the mast, to the front wing and the stab, has been revised to radically boost the performance of our foils, without being limited by our old connection shapes.

However, this choice to change all of our parts could not be considered without continuing to offer compatibility with our old ranges.

We therefore offer a wide choice of fuselages which gives you the freedom to mix all our masts, front wings and stabs, whatever their generation.

Carbon HM

The TORAY M40J High Modulus carbon used on our Team Series range offers incredible rigidity. It is a high-end carbon that delivers high mechanical properties while remaining resistant. A carbon used in aeronautics as well as for high-end sports equipment.

Its mechanical characteristics, such as its superior tensile strength and Young's modulus, allow for exceptional performance on the water.

For what?

Buckle up, destination: freestyle. It’s got incredible pop, so the program is clear: throw tricks, and that’s it. The rest of the time, it’s pure hell.
