The Strutless develops flight performance superior to a classic kite thanks to its unique structure without struts which considerably reduces drag. We benefit from a higher flight speed of the kite which generates more wind speed and reactivity with in return even more speed. The Strutless optimizes the flight window like no other. We optimize the slightest puff of air in light wind conditions and the kite is a delight of reactivity in wave riding.

This fourth generation of the Strutless comes with major changes in profile hold and its ratios that adapt from one size to another.

Improved profile hold

A central fiber batten and two fiber battens on the tips give the Strutless V4 the full potential of a classic 3 strut kite, plus the glide. The addition of a batten next to each tip increases handling, top speed, shocking comfort and durability. Thanks to its excellent profile hold, the Strutless does not suffer any deformation in tricks. As a result, it reacts without delay whatever its position. And the depower is as smooth and progressive as on a 3-struts kite. The relaunch capacity is further boosted by the new battens next to the tips on this kite which was already the best in its category.

Scalable ratios

The ratio of the Strutless is scalable from size to size in order to adapt the behavior of each size to what we do in the wind range of that specific size. The ratios are between 3.8 for the smallest size and 6 for the largest (a classic kite is between 4.2 and 4.5). The reduced ratio of small sizes boosts handling. A real spinning top! This playful temperament is great for kite foil tricks or in waves for surfing. The low ratio power background and its very small turn radius increase handling tenfold. Ideal for restarting in an instant or recovering from an error easily.

The larger sizes, on the other hand, benefit from a very high ratio to optimize heading and top speed in the light. The wide low range of the Strutless is thus further widened. The performance gain close-hauled and bread reach is maddening, to the point of believing you’re flying a foil kite. The Strutless in high ratio becomes a kite that you can hold overpowered in a program close to racing, the 19m2 having a higher range than the 17m2 V3 for example. In freeriding, this means a lot more potential and comfort: the best of both worlds in a kite that takes off without assistance!
