NEWS: NEW DIMENSIONS WITH THE SIRUS PUMPING WING!

The Sirus front wing redefines what’s possible in pumping and take off!
Its unreal dimensions combined with a shape optimized for pumping speeds open the door for a huge potential of dock start, SUP foil or surf foil sessions with record flight times.
The Sirus is the ultimate pumping front wing with an amazing glide.
The total absence of conditions is all you need to get going with the Sirus! That’s how performant the Sirus is. It is the front wing to overcome bad forecasts or the distance that separates you from quality spots. A flat, windless body of water is a great spot with the Sirus. At sea, you can take off on the flat, even facing the incoming swell lines or with a dead start. It’s stunning.
Take-off and glide capabilities that are a game changer for SUP foiling and downwinders in mediocre conditions. This is why the shape of the Sirus is designed to maximize the rail to rail. Flying is great but you need maneuverability in SUP or surf foiling to perfectly exploit the energy of the swell and connect waves. The outline tells it all: the leading edge is rounded like a Fluid and the trailing edge draws an inverted omega line, this allows an optimized distribution of the surface area. Therefore the lift is very centered around your feet and the very fine tips allow you to glide far without locking the rail to rail.
Aspect ratios
Looking at the numbers, the Sirus develops variable aspect ratios from 9.3 to 15 to offer the best to riders of all sizes, depending on the program chosen. All sizes of the Sirus are high aspect ratio wings that offer unparalleled glide, as this is a crucial point for pumping.Four sizes are available: L, XL, XXL et 3XL
The Sirus L with its 116cm wingspan and 9.3 aspect ratio develops an impressive rail to rail game for its size. It is perfect in pumping for a small energetic rider who wants to be able to carve or for a bigger rider in surf foiling or SUP foiling. The Sirus 3XL shows impressive dimensions, with its 186cm wingspan and an aspect ratio of 15 the performance is amazing, as well as the glide and lift. Very small impulses allow the foil to plane very far, it’s just amazing, but you can also have fun taking off on the flat with a Cruzader for example 😉Techno
For these high aspect ratio wings a large number of high modulus carbon layers are used. This carbon 4 to 6 times more expensive than the high-end carbon Prepreg provides the mechanical rigidity essential to the proper functioning of these very thin and large foils.
The foil set-up of the Sirus
The stab must be buoyant and of sufficient surface area to lift these large buoyant wings. Concerning the mast, the rigidity is decisive to exploit the full potential of the Sirus. Especially if you are new to this type of front wing. A High Modulus mast is almost mandatory and ideally the HM 72 Mast dedicated to giant wings and dock starts. You can read more about it in the very next article… 😉
