Discover the new high modulus prepreg carbon mast of absolute rigidity for large wings and ultimate pumping!

To meet the huge constraints of front wings of exceptional wingspans in pumping and a SUP/surf foiling, this new high modulus carbon mast comes in a crush-proof shape.

The 72 HM Mast was drawn from a blank page with new profiles, dimensions, wing fillets … and a new technology inherited from our expertise on large front wings to create the most rigid mast possible.

Pumping with large front wings is probably the most stressful effort for a mast: the front wings are powerful, the movements intense and the expectations are high. So the slightest deformation is a loss of energy and therefore of performance. This is where this 72 HM mast shows all its potential: even with a 186 cm front wing you don’t feel the slightest torsion!

To achieve such a result, all the geometry of the mat has been optimized in this perspective. Its upper profile is almost rectangular (although profiled) in order to keep the thickness on the entire chord. This geometry maximizes rigidity in flexion, but especially in torsion. Torsion is a horrible feeling when using a large front wing. This mast is the answer to this concern that harms the drive and causes strong loss of energy.

The wing fillets around the top plate were completely redesigned to distribute the efforts on their whole length. This geometry maximizes torsional rigidity. The efforts are distributed on almost 20 cm instead of 15 cm on the 70 HM mast. Carbon fibers transmit more energy to the board. The result is stunning!

A high end techno

The prepreg high modulus carbon layup is a model of its kind. The 50 layers of the mast are distributed in 5 angles to guarantee incredible dynamism. The return to its initial shape after effort is 4 times faster than on a standard mast.

Used on 5 axes on our masts, high modulus carbon locks flexion and all forms of torsion. Not that it cancels them, even if it reduces them enormously, but above all it allows a return to the initial shape in record time, guaranteeing the best possible dynamism. The steering is incredibly precise.

In summary, the 72 HM Mast is the best in terms of stiffness. Its shape designed to withstand very strong constraints without the slightest deformation clearly makes it a pumping machine that easily takes on large wings. This is the discipline that requires the foils the most, the front wings are wide and the support is clear, this is where you will discover the full potential of this mast!
