Our foil models are each designed for specific programs but you can mix them up to meet your personal needs or tastes. Front wings combined with a stab from a different program can extend your range of use or unleash the performance of your set-up.
The front wing defines the program; changing the stabilizer will make your sensations evolve. Some stabs will calm down certain front wings, while others will make them more playful, even more aggressive.
Wing foiler: Elise, GONG staff, with Curve set-up on a HIPE.
The Curve stabs for example are the Swiss Army knives of the range. They are easy, namely thanks to the small winglets / fins that allow you to have yaw stability without being too wedged like with an X-Over. They have a decent top speed and glide. They help to stabilize technical front wings like the Veloce or the Fluid.
For instance if you want the glide of the Fluid with more control, mixing the Curve stab with the Fluid front wing will be perfect!
The Fluid stabs are more neutral, you hardly feel having anything trailing you! The maneuverability in curves will be very… fluid, no need for solid engagements, entering a curve is super smooth and easy! It is a stab that is made for maneuverability. It has a very curved leading edge and thin ears allowing it to have the best “rail to rail” of the range. It also makes it possible to soften the curve entry of a more stable front wing with wider ears like a Veloce for example.
Wing foiler: Mathieu, GONG team rider, on the HIPE Pro with a Veloce Stab.
The Veloce stabilizer will give it speed and lift. This is the one with the most spoiler angle, making your board’s nose lift more easily. It allows for speed in the low end while keeping a very surf feeling. It’s a dynamic stab that transfers a lot of information to your legs. We go fast and we understand what is happening underwater. Very good stab for working on maneuvers with its great lift / speed balance and allows you to unleash a front wing like the Curve.
The Fast stab is the most extreme and thin of the classic range. It has the best glide and the highest top speed, you literally take the handbrake off. In maneuverability it allows you to turn on the spot. It has a very limited drag. Coupled with a fast and easy to handle Fluid type front wing, you will have a very efficient foil.
The choice of sizes will be made according to your size, wind range and style!
The XL will be great for light conditions or for big riders with an intermediate level.
The L does it all, in all conditions and all sizes.
The M will be for light riders, strong winds or for riders of an advanced levels.
