With these three front views of our Wing 2020 range, you can see the major differences between our Wings.

 

First of all, the airfoil depht

Our three Wings are aimed at different users. The Plus has the least camber in order to remain docile. The Pulse is more hollow in the center of the profile. And the Superpower is very deep.

Shape of the airfoil depht

The distribution of the airfoil camber is also very important. We can see that the more power is required, the more the central portion of the Wing is hollowed out. The tips must remain relatively flat so as not to create parasitic movements.
The dihedral shape of the Plus makes it easier to handle. It moves very easily at the slightest solicitation.
Its cousins are much more focused to be stable at high speed.

LE Diameter

This parameter has a double influence: it boosts the power and the stiffness of the Wing.
But beware, this is not a race to more hollow. Everyone has different needs. A beginner will want a controllable Wing, and therefore some twisting in the high range to avoid arm extension. So a thinner leading edge is totally appropriate on the Plus.

Twist

This twist is a strong element of the Wings that rest on inflatable structures. It is necessary, except in excess. You can see that on Wings with a thinner leading edge like the Plus, the tips are tucked in more than the center batten. The ears are in theory too tucked in. Tensioning the Wing in the wind will give it its ideal shape while preserving its smoothness.
Conversely, on a SuperPower that is ultra rigid to deliver maximum traction, you don’t want to add more by putting a tip release.
