GEAR : feedback 7'8 Cloud XTR !!!

Pierre shares with us his impressions about the 7’8 Cloud XTR :
“After having spent a year with the Nano 2014, which had made me really progressed, I was impatient to try this little Cloud.
About my quiver evolution, I chose, for my small conditions board, not to reduce the length but a little width and especially the volume. (I’m 1.78m for 73kg).
This cloud has perfectly matched what I was looking for.
Board received yesterday, today in the water with well rotted small conditions from home.
The shape is very harmonious, very thin rail, super lightweight.
A rowing, it’s finally easy, very laid on the water, very little row.
After 20 minutes of adaptation I started to take waves, and I really understood that I had made the right choice.
The take off is immediate, it is a Fish anyway !
The board is really fast and nothing underfoot. Curiously we feel the back foot more than with the Nano, it really accelerates.
With this lesser volume, It seems to be more in the wave, the turns are super easy to trigger, (thank you the little rocker) slides very soft and very fluid, very easy to put on the rail.
I managed to surf more in the curl because I hold better this board in the breaking than a board with more volume or heavier.
After an hour, I put in back fins of 3.5 that I had on the Nano, I found it more lively, a real short board. I will keep this config.
Short but happiness, a shape to have in its quiver, the one I will keep for a while, I think
I will complete with a 7’11 Curve for tougher conditions.
