GEAR: CHOOSING A LOWKITE HARNESS

Expand your lowkite's range of use with the comfort of a harness!
Although lowkite riding doesn't require a harness—especially with the V2 lowkites whose stability and depower offer comfort comparable to wing foiling—it does bring enormous benefits:
- A significantly increased high-end range (easily +5 to 10 knots);
- Access to smaller boards and foils since you can ride overpowered in total comfort;
- Upwind riding with much better angle;
- A rest mode on long tacks, especially upwind;
- Multiplied endurance;
- Precise and controlled one-handed piloting;
- One free hand when needed.
The benefits are such that once you try it, you’ll adopt it. But which harness should you choose?

Which harness to choose?
A harness in lowkite is a welcome assist that you can choose to use or not during your sessions. That’s why we prefer it to be light and discreet. There's no need to be burdened by a harness that weighs you down, soaks up water, or whose components catch your lines.
The GONG Powerlight harness checks all the boxes of the ideal harness:
- Light and discreet. You quickly forget you're wearing it;
- The Spreader Bar option or a mobile hook that doesn’t hinder your paddling movements;
- A minimalist setup that doesn’t snag your lowkite lines;
- A Leash Line with sheathed Dyneema tip for attaching a quick-release board leash.
