Wing foil session in light wind conditions, where the Veloce HDW showed its incredible potential under Martin’s feet.

An incredible glide

“First test of my Veloce HDW M (900) in a light wind winging session.

The glide and the smoothness are incredible. I was surprised to be able to glide through small gusts of wind at low speed. Very impressive, I’ll probably won’t use the Veloce HDW XL (1200) that much in the end.

The 900 will be my go-to front wing for SUP foil & downwind, as well as for light wind winging.

(The technique to glide with so little wind: fly very high, with the front wing just below the surface. This is much easier with the V3 foils.)

Weight and conditions?

“I weigh 60 kilos. Yes, the HDWs are perfect for light wind conditions. It was 8-10 knots. Normally, I’d take the Fluid H 810 out in winds like this, but I really wanted to give it a try. So I think I can ride in lighter wind conditions with it. Even though the Fluid H 810 would’ve worked in these conditions, the Veloce HDW makes it easier with its glide. And since it has a better glide, the need to pump is felt much later. Yesterday, I did another light wind session with the Fluid H 810, and I realize that, in the end, I go faster with the HDW, even though the Fluid is smaller.
