Surf foiling sesh to test of the new high aspect Fluid H Front Wing by a GONG ambassador who did not expect to score that day! Here is Francois’ feedback.

“What a session!!! Very small, 50/60cm max, soft, very soft… glassy… the kind of conditions that make you regret even coming to check it out… but not with a Fluid L-H??. Indeed, it turned out to be dreamy conditions to test this front wing in surf foiling. I was not disappointed! I could score veeeeeery long waves and had a blast for 4 hours.
The L-H allows to paddle hard and it’s going really well in the takeoff.
The glide on the wave is omnipresent for my 85kg and I had no problems getting over flat zones of more than 200m. So you can connect waves with ease as long as the cardio and the technique are there. Everything is easier.
In these sloppy conditions, the maneuverability is really very pleasant, it turns!!! As already explained in wing foiling tests, you have to let it glide and not force the maneuvers, however, it turns on the spot with simply more inertia. It’s super pleasant.
This feeling of surfing a big twinfish is over the top.
It allows you to fly really well. You pass the flat sections like never before with GONG gear. I insist, like never before!! I haven’t tested the Veloce H range yet, and I will see the differences when the time comes.
The pumping is effective, and makes it easy to connect, you have to keep the tempo, and there the magic happens. But no miracle, for my 85kg, you have to know the basics of pumping to surf this type of front wing.
I didn’t see any negative points, frankly no…
Under these conditions, I repeat, this Fluid L-H is in its program and gave me a smile all day.
A little info that may speak to many of you. At one point my buddy Greg and I were on the same wave. Greg is at 65kg and riding a 1210 surface foil. In short, he has glide under his feet… We find ourselves in a flat zone, really no more than 10cm under the foil.???. And it lasted a long time, believe me… Well despite being 20kg heavier than him, the L-H did not disappoint… Far from it…
We even allowed ourselves to discuss during this flat zone and validate the very good glide of this Fluid, before arriving, both, and in flight, in the same place some nice glides later ??? (impossible for me if I had been on the Fluid XL-S for example, I would have run out of steam, and another friend who was in XL-S for 75kg, did not experience this session like me… precisely because he was not on a high aspect foil).
Goodbye.”
