Firstly a conic shape at the base which will fit into the fuselage. Therefore the pressure of usage reinforces the clamping for a perfect congruence under load.
This adaptor fits by 6cm in the mast, perfectly fitting into the new internal mast structure. It makes it very strong and a lot stiffer.
This piece has been designed with the evolutions of the new mast, with its faster profile, its internal reinforced structure and the relocation of tightening screws. The three screws go straight through in order to sandwich the conic adaptor between the mast and the fuselage. This ensures optimum load-bearing capacity.
The addition of dedicated hydrodynamic fillets on this part gives more glide to the mast/fuselage connection. And it’s really beautiful.
The slightly added thickness of the mast makes all its sense in this small piece as it allows it to stand better in the fuselage. The larger chord removes all phenomenon of play.
To avoid adding any unnecessary weight, this connector has been partially added.
