The wings for endless flights.

Introduction

The Fluid-H Front Wing is designed for endless and effortless flights.

This very high ratio version of the Fluid allows access to higher speed ranges without compromising what makes the magic of the Fluid: the smooth glide, a very healthy lift and nice carves.

This wing offers an incredible glide when launched. Its slenderness translates into a delicious glide. You will be shocked to feel how fast it flies between two pumping strokes. It flies in rhythm with the softest to the most consistent swells, and allows endless glide during downwinders.

It maintains a strong lift at low speed thanks to its very hollow intrados. This is the crucial point of the Fluid: it is radical but it flies very easily. It is not a demanding front wing. It really is the easiest high ratio to fly and steer.

Despite its large wingspan, it retains its agile character in curves. First, because the surface is centered. Its fine tips dive easily into the curve and you can easily switch from one rail to another around the central volume. Kind of like a board with a V-shaped hull and very thin rails. Then, because its leading edge is rounded, it attacks the water gradually and the wing switches very naturally from one weight distribution to another. Finally because the rail to rail is facilitated by the upwards camber of the tips.

This camber of the Fluid-H is very particular: flat in the center and raised at the tips. The concept is to play with tips that exit the water. This ultra healthy wing can afford to flirt with the surface to accentuate its maneuverability. Nothing beats putting 1/3 of the wing out to make it turn shorter 😉 This camber is also a great shape for beach starts, as the tips won’t rub the bottom as much as flat shapes. Big advantage also to limit the wear of the tips in wing foiling when you have to exit the water in a rush.

Be careful, the high ratio develops extreme spans in the large sizes. Turning a 122cm wingspan will always be as turning a 122cm wingspan 😉 So you just have to surf it differently in the larger sizes, a bit like driving a very good longboard: by setting smooth lines and without rushing turns more than you need to.

More versatile and easier than the Veloce-H, this front wing will delight lovers of pure glide while retaining the maneuverability specific to the surfing foils of the Fluid range.

In wing foiling these Fluid front wings in sizes XS-H, S-H, M-H, L-H, XL-H, XXL-H offer a very high level of performance, with smooth but demanding shapes that will require finesse in piloting and a good physical condition for the rider to take off. A great option after having covered the range of performance offered by a Fluid-T or a Veloce-T. The Fluid-H is sailed in glide and accelerations, even in light winds. This glide specific to high-ratio wings will delight all downwinds and endless freefly enthusiasts. It also does wonders when heading upwind, even when totally underpowered. And in small sizes, the pop is just amazing. Satellization mode guaranteed!!!

Understand each wing in detail

Small wings are suitable for higher speeds and large ones for lower speeds. The criteria of choice is therefore not only the size of the foiler.

The XS-H has a wingspan of 72 cm, 600 cm2, 0.94 cm thick for a volume of 0.26L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a very small wing for the pros, the lightweights and tow-in surfing. It’s super fast with a manageable lift to stay in control in hollow sections.
  • In wing foiling, it is very small but perfect for a light and very good level rider in strong winds.
  • In kite foiling, it is a small wing for a good level rider. Pay attention to the wingspan which often borders on the surface.

The S-H has a wingspan of 82 cm, 800 cm2, 1.1 cm thick for a volume of 0.39L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a very small wing for the pros, the lightweights and tow-in surfing. It’s fast with good lift to get through soft sections and stay in control in hollow sections.
  • In wing foiling, it is small but perfect for a good level rider in strong winds.
  • In kite foiling, it is an interesting size but the wingspan can be a problem to manage.

The M-H has a wingspan of 92 cm, 1000 cm2, 1.2 cm thick for a volume of 0.54L.

  • In surf foiling, it is an intermediate wing which is suitable for light builds to surf long, sometimes hollow waves and be able to return to the peak easy!
  • In wing foiling, it is the wing to use in 80% of sessions for a light rider.
  • In kite foiling, it’s too wide. To forget.

The L-H has a wingspan of 102 cm, 1250 cm2, 1.3 cm thick for a volume of 0.74L.

  • In surf foiling, it is an intermediate wing which is suitable for riders of an average weight to surf long waves and be able to return to the peak without running out of steam!
  • In wing foiling, it is the wing to use in 80% of sessions for an average sized rider.
  • In kite foiling, it’s too wide. To forget.

The XL-H has a wingspan of 112 cm, 1500 cm2, 1.5 cm thick for a volume of 0.98L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a large wing which is suitable for big riders in dock/beach starts, and which works well in pumping. Its wingspan is impressive in curves, so it should be used in very soft waves.
  • In wing foiling, this size is very large. To be used in light conditions.
  • In kite foiling, it’s too wide. To forget.

The XXL-H has a wingspan of 122 cm, 1750 cm2, 1.6 cm thick for a volume of 1.27L.

  • In surf foiling, it is a giant wing which is suitable for strong people in dock/beach starts, and which is dedicated to easy pumping. You can do 120kg and cross great distances in pumping without vomiting. It is a wing limited for surfing due to its wingspan which will overtake you in curves, and which must therefore be used in soft waves with a “longboard” type of drive.
  • In wing foiling, this size is very big. To be used in light/asthmatic conditions and for inland water bodies for example.
  • In kite foiling, it’s too wide. To forget.

Shape

The shape of the Fluid-H is designed for a glide with finesse and at high speed.

This shape has the DNA of Fluid-R and -T with its “fluid” character pushed even further.

High ratio

Its very slender outline reduces the chord. As a result, we improve performance since we have a profile that drags much less water, without losing lift at a constant surface. We even gain a little since the profile will fly faster overall, speed being the source of lift.

Profile thickness

The profile is very buoyant in the center of the wing to concentrate the lift and accept flying at very low speed without stalling. The tips are thinner and relieve the piloting from one rail to another: we retain an amazing maneuverability for this type of wing.

The type of profile

The Fluid have a pronounced hollow on the rear third of the intrados to boost their lift. This hollow is fairly centered in the S, R, and T ranges, but is pronounced across most of the H wingspan. Lift is further improved, which is the key to the ease of these wings, despite having a very technical ratio.

The camber

The wing is flat with tips curved upwards. The grip is clear and very easy to feel, especially when you want to recover from a stall. And the raised tips allow you to get into turns with a lot of glide, thus boosting rail to rail.

Maximum width

The placement of this lift point is constant throughout the range so as to always keep the same setting for the same behavior when changing wing size.

Construction

Our front wings are made of 90% 3K and 12K Prepreg carbon, with a total of over 15 fiber layers on the profile, and many more in the fitting areas.

The highest ratios in our range also contain high module carbon which provides the essential mechanical rigidity to the proper functioning of these thin and large foils.

High stress points such as fittings and connections are reinforced with Kevlar to resist tearing and fiberglass for tolerance. It is indeed essential to place fibers responding to the different types of stress in addition to the carbon which will produce dynamism.

Molded at high pressure and high temperature on a foam core, our wings are almost indestructible.

It is the perfect balance between low weight and “infinite” durability/repairability.

Wing tips are a potential source of danger. We take care not to produce an intrinsically dangerous design, within the limits of efficient hydrodynamics. Likewise, the trailing edges are designed not to be dangerously sharp. We invite you to be extremely careful despite these precautions because these parts remain sharp and dangerous by nature. Stay away, wear the proper protections, and never sharpen them. Systematically repair the slightest hitch in the outline because it represents a danger for you and others if it were to cut your leash for example. In all situations, the greatest caution is required. If in doubt, abstain (waves, strong wind, etc.).

Your benefits are clear:

1. An efficient shape created by one of the leaders in the world of foiling.
2. A design at the cutting edge of R&D and ahead of its time.
3. Proven construction on thousands of foils.
4. Full Option finishing at a great price.
5. A light and solid foil with one of the best technos on the market!!!
6. An incredible price that can only be explained by our direct relationship with you.
7. Simple maintenance and easy.

Innovation is at the core of our products

This technology has been tested and proven for more than three years without any breakage on 30,000 ALLVATOR foil wings. In the event of a violent impact on a rock, you can easily repair them and they will be as good as new.

You will never see a GONG front wing open on a leading edge because our unique layup technique crosses the layers of fibers. Thus there is no joint plan on our wings. The whole outline has overlapping lapses, like the rails of your high-end boards.

This foil is completely dismountable to adapt to all sports at a lower cost and give you the possibility of replacing a damaged part. A complete catalog of spare parts is available, to allow you to make it compatible with multiple supports (Surf / SUP / Kite / Wing), and to explore the entire range of use of the foil in each sport and at all levels.

Our R&D as well as our Quality Control guarantee you products of the highest quality. Firstly because our engineers based in South Brittany, France, are the first users. Their passion for our sports coupled with their qualifications have enabled us to create a unique research center in the world.

Our position as world leader in foiling is no coincidence. Our 3D simulations, our countless technical and technological prototyping, our state-of-the-art tools, our 100% GONG factory, our tests with the Pro Team which is among the most efficient, the thousands of feedback from our customers and our Ambassadors, and a ultra involved shaper designer: these are the key elements among many others that allow us to manufacture exceptional foils.

Several years ago, we were at the origin of the creation of the first foil factory in Asia, which today produces the “prestige” brands. 18 months of intense work and dozens of tools developed. Three years ago, we launched a new 100% GONG factory which allows us to produce more parts and keep our developments and technologies secret, to offer you the best of foils.

We want to offer low prices without ever cutting corners on quality, and refined products without ever diminishing performance in each program: we know what we are doing from A to Z. We do not sell foils designed by a freelancer, we do not do not sell marketing concepts. We do thorough, serious and innovative work to create efficient and solid foils at an unbeatable price.

Buying guide

For whom?

It is a front wing for experienced riders who want to switch to an even purer glide.

  • In surf foiling, you must have a good level to tame this technical front wing. Surprisingly simple to take off, but it requires good technical skills to maintain a clean pumping at high speed and to pilot it in the curves with its high ratio wingspan.
  • In wing foiling, you must have a good level to take off early on this technical wing and master the higher speed of the foil. The tips can come out of the water for some fresh air, so you need a good level because it’s only an asset if you can master it, otherwise it’s a disaster 😉
  • In kite foiling, ditto, you must have a good level to accept and master the higher speed of the foil and the greater wingspan of these stretched wings.

In summary, you need good technical skills to take advantage of this front wing. The small sizes are obviously easier to manage than the very large ones which are harder to move around.

For what?

This front wing is clearly made for gliding and finesse.

With a profile that is tolerant at low speeds, it is the simplest high ratio in the range. Which does not mean the least effective, quite the contrary: it is formidable with its pop, its high quality grip and its handling.

  • In surf foiling, it is clearly the ultimate weapon to return to the peak in effortless pumping with a wing that doesn’t need to be at mach 12 all the time.
  • In wing foiling, it is a front wing which excels in a fast and playful drive, and which likes beautiful curves in amplitude. A pro will love it in freestyle for its huge pop.
  • In kite foiling, it is the turbo you want without sacrificing surfing and tricks.

What size ?

The lift is considerable because these wings fly quickly and without restraint. The lift being linked to the speed 😉 Remember that you will surely like the size below for the same program.

The size below is also a wingspan below. Much easier to manage in rail to rail or when taking extreme angles as we like them.

Here is a view of the ideal body size for each foil and each use:

The XS-H has a wingspan of 72 cm, 600 cm2, 0.94 cm thick for a volume of 0.26L.

  • In surf foiling: less than 65kg in beautiful waves.
  • In wing foiling: less than 65kg or very good level and strong wind.
  • In kite foiling: less than 75kg or good level.

The S-H has a wingspan of 82 cm, 800 cm2, 1.1 cm thick for a volume of 0.39L.

  • In surf foiling: less than 65kg in normal waves and less than 85kg in bigger waves.
  • In wing foiling: less than 65kg or good level and strong wind.
  • In kite foiling: more than 75kg.

The M-H has a wingspan of 92 cm, 1000 cm2, 1.2 cm thick for a volume of 0.54L.

  • In surf foiling: less than 75kg in normal waves and less than 95kg in bigger waves.
  • In wing foiling: from 65kg to 75kg.
  • In kite foiling: forget.

The L-H has a wingspan of 102cm, 1250cm2, 1.3cm thick for a volume of 0.74L.

  • In surf foiling: more than 75kg in normal waves.
  • In wing foiling: from 75kg to 85kg.
  • In kite foiling: forget.

The XL-H has a wingspan of 112cm, 1500cm2, 1.5cm thick for a volume of 0.98L.

  • In surf foiling: more than 85kg in small waves.
  • In wing foiling: more than 85kg in light conditions.
  • In kite foiling: forget.

The XXL-H has a wingspan of 122 cm, 1750 cm2, 1.6 cm thick for a volume of 1.27L.

  • In surf foiling: pumping and very soft waves for all sizes. Reduced maneuverability.
  • In wing foiling: 95kg and more for very light and irregular wind. Reduced maneuverability.
  • In kite foiling: forget.

A bigger wing will be used in low ranges, soft conditions. And conversely a smaller wing in tough conditions. What you need to remember is that the choice of your wing depends on your size, which requires lift, and your average speed, which generates lift.

In pumping from dock start or beach start, we recommend the wings as follows:

  • La XS-H, la S-H, M-H , la L-H : forget. There’s no point.
  • La XL-H : less than 85kg.
  • La XXL-H : above 85kg or to set the stopwatch buzzing.

In DW, we tend to think that the biggest is the most efficient. That’s only true to some extent, but it is often the case.

Understand our foil range

Quiver partners ?

The Fluid H wing is ideal with technical boards in a noble construction such as the FSP PRO boards. The smaller the board, the more you can exploit the potential of this front wing.

The stab must also be technical: thin and fast.

The mast must be rigid. And all the more so if your stance isn’t perfect.

Positioning of the foil ?

For the GONG foils, place the top plate at the rear third of the US rails for surf, SUP and kite. Place it in the middle of the US rails when using it with a wing foil.

The more you move it forward, the more it makes the board pitch up. The further you move it backwards, the more the nose of the board dives.

Be careful not to move it too far forward. We often tend to forget to use the back foot, especially when we have a kite foil background. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on the back foot and gives a more harmonious attitude and reduces effort.

Shipping

Availability:

The dates of availability of all our products are written on each product page, in the size and colour of the product concerned.

These dates are valid at the moment you consult the site and/or place an order. It is possible that this product may be ordered a few seconds after your consultation. It then becomes unavailable. If you have placed an order, this change does not concern you: the product you order is still available on the date indicated at the time of your order.

We sell several thousand products per week. The stocks are therefore very evolutionary. But our management always shows you the real availability live.

If it’s available online: it’s available 😉

Pre-order:

Some articles are proposed in pre-order during their routing to our premises. You can buy this article which will arrive at our place in a few weeks. This method avoids the fair to grab upon receipt of the lot and the disappointed ones who would not order within the hour.

Upon receipt, we will ship it to you as a regular order.

The times indicated on the pre-orders are 95% reliable. First of all, because we only pre-sell finished products that are arriving to us after Customs, and therefore shipped right after. And also, because we add decent margins with concern to the dates announced by the shipping companies or railways.

However, a Worker Strike, a breakdown, an overbooking, can unfortunately happen. In the case of a delay, you will be notified by email (check your spam). It is generally less than a week and totally independent of our good will.

As soon as we receive the container in La Baule, we ship your order within three working days. Then the carrier takes over: delivery time and tracking numbers are under their responsibility.

It is possible that the date displayed on the online for the pre-order of the item you have ordered and paid for may change for two reasons:

  1. All quantities of the batch are sold (most common reason). In this case, orders placed for the first container will be delivered as scheduled.
  2. The container is late and we have to shift the date by a few days. (Strikes, breakdowns, overbooking, can unfortunately happen). You will be notified by email.

We never change the delivery dates of a container without notifying customers.

Delays:

The dates that we announce are shipping deadlines, which GONG has in stock and available here physically.

We usually give a shipping time within 3 days, but in most cases, we ship within 24/48 hours. Normally morning orders leave in the afternoon for example.

Then the transport service takes over. The variables are then important between the customer being delivered to France (very fast) or Bulgaria (a good week) or to a forwarding agent or to Asia or the USA… You understand that each location has its own type of delay.

We work with serious and well-known carriers. They do their utmost to make you happy even if a snafu can happen. In any case, we are there to make things easier and to arrange our customers.

Shipping Fees:

Contrary to others, we do not hide shipping costs in the price of our products. At GONG everyone knows exactly what he pays. The transport is charged at its strictest value, and the person who comes to pick up his products does not pay hidden transport fees.

Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address. To this is added a labour time of order preparation.

The invoicing of the shipping costs is identical in continental France and in the bordering European countries. A surcharge is automatically invoiced for deliveries to the most distant European countries and all European islands.

For a shipment in French overseas departments and territories or outside Europe, our logistics department will contact you before the payment stage to give you an estimate of the shipping costs. You will be able to accept this estimate and pay your order, or refuse it and cancel your order.

Any questions:

We answer you within 24 hours by email. But 95% of your questions are answered on the site. Try to use our contact form which will guide you to all these answers.

Don’t forget to read the Forum, where thousands of users exchange information and experiences.

In any case, don’t panic. If you don’t get an answer during the weekend, it’s normal: the team is resting 😉

We are passionate and professional in our job. Our only goal is to make you happy, as much as possible 😉

Eco-responsible packaging:

Preserving the environment is a top priority. That’s why we are doing everything possible to reduce our environmental footprint.

The first thing is to sell quality products that will last, be repairable and will please you for a long time.

The second thing is to sell for less. Most of the pollution coming from a Board is in its use (the km driven to use it) and in the countless environmental damages you have to do to pay for it. Each euro spent is a sum of damage related to your life quite simply: eating, working hard etc… By reducing the price of our products, we significantly reduce your ecological footprint on this item.

For our shipments we use:

  • Flexi-Hex: ecological packaging of very high resistance.
  • Paper Craft Scotch Tape.
  • Final packaging made of high-end cardboard.

All this for:

  • Reusable and recyclable packaging.
  • An almost total reduction of single-use plastic.
  • Maximum protection and impact resistance thanks to the innovative design of Flexi-Hex honeycomb (35mm thick).

Tracking of your parcels :

The tracking of deliveries is directly ensured by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your parcels. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose the delivery methods and to follow the route of your package.

If you ask us for this tracking, we will have to do as you do: we will go see on the carrier’s app because they are the ones who manage and are responsible for this job.

Delivery:

We collaborate with the best transport providers to deliver you everywhere in Europe and in the world in very short delays.

We have chosen them for their quality of service and their respect of deadlines. 80% of your orders reach their destination in less than 48 hours of processing in metropolitan and continental France.

For Europe, the delays vary from 3 to 6 days depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delays can be up to 15 days.

Please note that the transport time is added to the preparation/shipping time. Two companies work on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one controls its activity and commits itself to optimize its delays so that you are delivered as soon as possible, in good condition and at a reasonable price.

Reception of your front wing:

Upon delivery, simply open and inspect the condition of your Board in the presence of the carrier. A complete email explaining the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

In spite of our requirements and all the care we take in packaging and protecting your Board, transportation hazards may occur. Even if it concerns less than 2% of everything we ship around the world, a Board can suffer a more or less important transportation shock.

But in any case, don’t worry, just refuse it, and a new Board will be shipped back to you.

Returns:

You can choose to return your products if:

  • You are not satisfied (14 days right of retraction).
  • You want to change an item.
  • You have refused your package.

For each situation, contact us by our contact form to help you.

2 reviews for GONG FOIL ALLVATOR FRONT WING PRO FLUID – H

  1. Melvin

Warning

The practice of the Foil carries risks of major accidents. A bad mastery of the Foil can cause cuts, serious wounds, even death, for you and/or others.

The Foil must be practiced taking all the precautions when used in Kite because they are increased in comparison to those related to the Foilsurf. Remember that the Foil is long, sharp, and can reach high speeds. To be hit by a Foil, or to strike a third party can have dramatic consequences.

Foil always far from others, in safe and unobstructed water.

The Foil is mainly used in the light wind. This one can fall and force you to go swimming. Therefore, do not overestimate your strengths: never go further than what you can swim under present and announced conditions.

Wear a helmet and protective jacket to ensure your buoyancy. Always wear a full neoprene wetsuit.

When handling the foil, be careful not to cut yourself on the trailing edges.

GONG declines all responsibility in the event of an accident involving a GONG Foil. The Foil practice and its benefits/consequences is under the sole responsibility of the Foil user.
