Foil Veloce H V3 - Carbon HM 85
Program
The supersonic front wing with incredible glide and pumping.
Introduction
The Veloce H combines glide AND maneuverability like no other foil. It’s the best compromise of glide and maneuverability for a very high aspect foil.
Its high efficiency offers great comfort from its low to high end of use. An exceptional low end for a high aspect foil, as well as a great top speed, which translates into an insane glide that will make you the king of freeflying and pumping from one wave to the next.
Its exceptional glide and ease of pumping allow you to score in small conditions. It’s your best alley to connect bumps endlessly. And as soon as it accelerates, nothing can stop you. Even in kite foiling you can push it full speed without ever reaching its limits. Stunning.
Its longitudinal stability offers great comfort when sailing and perfect control when riding down a wave. We are often very high, on an ultra healthy foil which does not ventilate and seems to hang on no matter what. And that's magic for surfing because you can place the wing very high on the face of the wave and go full send!!!
Definitely fast, you will be amazed by its maneuverability. And what can we say about its glide if not: exceptional!!!
This set includes the 85HM V3 carbon mast: a masterpiece of technological know-how. Glide, stiffness, lightness and responsiveness: it's the ideal mast for foilers in search of excellence.
The 85cm mast length provides great versatility and tolerance across uses. No need for much depth, carves are easy to negotiate, stiffness is top-notch, responsiveness absolute, and pumping very efficient.
Front Wing
Its straight outline provides longitudinal stability by moving the center of lift forward, thus moving it away from the center of lift of the stabilizer. The front to rear span is artificially increased, which reduces the stabilizer area because it has a greater leverage on the lower.

Stab
The outline of the Veloce H is sleek, with tips slightly set back to move the lift center of the stab backwards and increase the leverage of the stab over the whole lower. This makes it possible to undersize the stab’s surface, thus improving drag and comfort at high speeds.

Mast
To adapt your mast to your program, you have the choice between three thicknesses:
- If you are looking for glide and speed above all, the HM14 will be perfect.
- If you want a versatile mast, beyond the extremes, this is the HM15 for you.
- If you are more pumping/light wind oriented with large wings, and you are looking for foolproof rigidity for maximum precision, the HM16 is made for you!

Evolution
Overall, the new H range has gained enormously in glide.
Foils take off much earlier. On average you can go for 200 cm2 less surface area than with the previous generation for equal lift. The stabs are also much smaller.
This gain in glide, and the resulting reduction in surface areas, therefore makes it possible to radically increase the top speed and the average speed: by downsizing you generate less drag, and more speed.
The new profile, constant across the entire wingspan, makes it very forgiving in near stall situations and breaching. The foil holds very far at low speed. It’s stunning!
Forgiveness for breaching is unprecedented. You can fly close to the surface stress free: the foil remains super healthy to the point of not even feeling the breaches.
This consistency of the profile combined with an optimized composite layup gives even more rigidity to the foil, which allows for a steering that’s much more precise. The whole is really more rigid and more resistant to torsion.
A more efficient foil shape
- faster
- more rigid
- more resistant
- lighter
The new round shape allows a 12% gain in glide and the thicker section approaching the stab increases the strength and rigidity of the foil.
Hours of calculations on extremely powerful computers have allowed us to optimize the smallest detail to maximize performance. The fillets of all our connections have been carefully studied and adjusted to minimize hydrodynamic disturbances and increase the rigidity and resistance of the assembly.
SuperLock self-tightening system
The more pressure you put into the front wing, the tighter it fits into the fuselage.
The pressure angle makes it very easy to disassemble the front wing, even after long sessions. This fitting only requires two screws under the FW, which makes changing the front wing easier and faster.
This tightening principle, already validated for several years on our V2 stabs, is now available in an optimized version on the front wings.
A real plus for daily use!
Buying guide
For whom?
This is a foil for experienced riders looking to maximize the surfing and freeflying in their session.
For what?
It is a pure wave riding foil to maximize freefly comfort on all types of waves, be extremely efficient in pumping and reach high speeds. Qualities that make it a real downwind machine.
Which size Front Wing?
Less low end oriented than the Curve H, it nevertheless remains forgiving at low speed and accessible for takeoff. Compared to our previous Veloce H range, you can reduce the surface area of your front wing with no fear of a challenging take off or higher stall speed.
Some generalities on the choice of front wing sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your foiling discipline, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot but also your board and your wing.
When pumping, you want as much surface as possible to be able to get going without the help of a wave or wind. By improving your technique and gaining more speed, you can reduce the surface area you need.
In surf/SUP foiling, the perfect surface area would be small enough to turn with ease but large enough to take off and pump comfortably.
In wing foiling, all sizes work. The heavier the rider and/or the lighter the wind, the larger the size. Conversely, riders who are lighter and comfortable with takeoff can look for smaller sizes.
When kite foiling, you want to avoid wingspans of more than 80 cm because the counter-heel is significant and the tips will easily breach the surface. Favor lower aspect ratio front wings to start because they provide a lot of lift for a limited wingspan.
If in doubt about which size to choose, contact our customer service.
Which stab?
We recommend pairing a Veloce H stab with your Veloce H front wing, as these two components are designed for the same program and optimized to work in perfect harmony.
General information on choosing stab sizes:
Your preferred size will depend on your support, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot and also your front wing.
A larger stab will make take-off easier as the foil will generate a lot of torque which will tend to give it a high angle of attack. This also means a more direct return under the front foot.
A smaller stab will be more technical on take-off but will boost speed and manoeuvrability. You also lose support on the front foot, which means you have to move the foil forward in the boxes to regain this stability. Always adjust the size of the stab to the size of the front wing to obtain a balanced flight and harmony between these two components.
If you are in any doubt about which size to choose, contact our customer service department.
What thickness?
You have the choice between 3 thicknesses.
The thicker the mast, the stiffer it is and the greater control it provides, particularly with larger front wings.
The thinner the mast, the faster it is, increasing top speed and acceleration, especially with smaller wings.
Here are our recommended mast thicknesses to ensure perfect stiffness of the whole setup:
- 14mm thickness is recommended for front wings up to 100cm wingspan
- 15mm thickness is recommended for front wings up to 120cm span
- 16mm thickness is recommended for front wings up to 150cm wingspan
Aluminum or titanium fuselage?
We strongly recommend using a titanium fuselage in the following cases:
- IIt is mandatory for your safety if you plan to navigate beyond the 300m zone or if you sail more than 300m from shelter (serious bodily injury risk in case of unexpected breakage).
- If you jump (risk of material loss).
- If you use front wings with a wingspan of more than 110cm (risk of material loss).
If you don't meet any of the above conditions, the aluminium V3 fuselage will suit you just fine.
