Program
The Zero is the ultimate concept of the high performance longboard version SUP.
Presentation
By oar, she starts from nothing and very far away. A rocket.
In surfing, his advanced boatmaster gives him a great stability in curves. You can place a long section of rail in the water to calm the board during overspeed and dip phases. The baby diamond tail increases its winding capacity tenfold and allows you to reach even further vertically.
The huge surprise when you surf this board for the first time is how fast it is and its ability to turn short on the rails. We are no longer in the world of SUP cushy. It’s definitely about surfing. We roll S turns while hitting hard.
The board has such a reserve of energy that you can go very far in the moves without risking spoiling the rest of the wave. It's simply enjoyable.
Its nose is thin in the last thirty centimeters. The benefit is twofold: incredible maneuverability thanks to a lighter nose, with little inertia, but also less drag in the water when you are on the nose, therefore more speed and lift. This is the ideal compromise.
If you are looking for committed, mobile, fast surfing, in all types of waves and in a modern longboard atmosphere, this Zero is ultimate.

Buying guide
For whom?
Clearly for longboard lovers. Zero likes crossed steps and beautiful attitudes.
But she will also like it when you rush her with powerful curves. So you either have to want radicality, or want a super lively board to handle it normally but with less effort.
Lightweight riders will love this board as a starting point for a quiver.
The strong will put it in the heart of quiver with a medium beach with big waves.
For what ?
Longboards love long waves. They often need space to express themselves. This is not the case for the Zero which will certainly love long waves to deploy its ability to chain, but it will also smash like a good opportunist in short waves.
Its extreme maneuverability for a longboard allows it to take advantage of almost any condition.
Some will also like it for “cheating”. It can in fact be a “fake” longboard for those who want the glide of a longboard without ever doing real noses.
What size?

The 8’5 favors tail driving, with noses here and there. It is intended for lightweight people, 70kg max.
The 9’0 is suitable for everyone. It is the centerpiece of the range.
The 10’0 deploys the qualities of the 9’0 with this amplitude specific to the 10’.
The 12’0 is for aesthetes, lovers of beautiful lines whether waves, curves or boards…
Which board bag?
Which quiver friends?
The Zero will go perfectly with a Neverstick or a large NFA in the low range.
It will also be perfectly complementary to an Alley for radicality in shortSUP mode?
On the other hand, she will rather duplicate with an NFA of her size or a Karmen who will seek to perform in the same waves but in another style.
She is also the ideal friend in the quiver of a surfer who wants a SUP very handy to complement your surfboards in micro waves. He will find a living contact that he loves.
What fin assembly?
The best editing remains a matter of style:
1/ For everyone: a 7” or 8” central and small longboard ears: maximum maneuverability. We have a little less acceleration but the board registers itself in the curves that you push. It's magical.
2/ For Pros:a 6” center with a large surface area (like a larger trifin center) coupled with ears one size smaller than your trifin mounting size. For example, a 6'' GONG and two Toledo M laterals if your usual trifin is L. With this assembly you will have a aggressive board, on which you can push to death in the curves. It will be safe and radical at the same time.
The fine sorting 2+1 of identical lengths is also a good basis, especially on the 9’. Place the front of the central fin 4 cm behind the tips of the ears. A set of Performer 2+1 is perfect. Take your recommended fin size or just above. No less. You're going to need grip to exploit the maneuverability of the Zero.
Reminder of the FCS2 fin sizes recommended for trifin (three fins of identical size):
- XS for those under 55 kg / 120 Lbs
- S for 55 kg – 70 kg / 120 Lbs – 155 Lbs
- M for 65 kg – 80 kg / 145 Lbs – 175 Lbs
- L for 75 kg – 90 kg / 165 Lbs – 200 Lbs
- XL for those over 85 kg / 190 Lbs
Note that before the shape, it is the material of the fins that determines the performance. Remember that the steeper the fin, the more it works. And yes a pro needs good drifts, but an amateur also needs to go fast because speed is the basis of all maneuvers.
Never take shorter unless you are a cat with feline supports.
A surfer who wants more speed, makes nicer turns, surfs more cleanly, works on his speed, will take a size larger than the recommended size. Be careful because more surface area on a large board results in a rather amorphous whole. Don't overdo it if you want to maintain mobility.
In a setup that mixes sets, consider that the total surface area of your fins must always be identical. If you lengthen the central one, you have to shorten the lateral ones. These provide grip and acceleration; and the central unit does the pivot and the drive.
Solution 1 which is the most versatile on the Zero 9’ and 10’. To optimize it, you can put 100mm sides and mount a 7” or 8” Pivot, Clique, or Connect central.
Here is a reminder of the behaviors on 2+1 drift associations:
- 100mm lugs + 6” center: not enough drive, it slips a lot.
- 100mm ears + 7'' center: ideal for maximum maneuverability and freedom in curves.
- 100mm lugs + 8” center: perfect turn management and good noserides.
- 100mm ears + 9” center: a lot of drive, probably too much.
- 100mm ears + 10” center: that’s too much unless you weigh 120 kg.
In 2+1, the front base of the control unit will be set 2 cm behind the rear tip of the side fins. Most manageable setting. For more control, simply move the center fin back 2cm by 2cm or take a center fin an inch deeper.
The single assembly is possible in Zero, but it will soften the board and make it lose acceleration when you push on the legs. It’s nice at 12’, but below that it’s questionable. Everyone will see as they wish. No less than 9” in all cases as a single. And in a rather modern shape to keep the tempo of the board.
What length of paddle?
Your size, no more, no less, ideally in Pro for weight. You can take a little shorter if you are oriented towards radical driving. Some cut it at eyebrow height on shortboards. We do not recommend it on the Zero, and we even advise you to go up a little in size on longer board lengths for a cooler tempo.

Which leash?
Take the length of your board and a 10’ for the 12’. Less shoulder size, reduced diameter (6mm) will give you a lot of speed. Above, you must have 7mm minimum.
Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your life jacket.

Equipments
The Zero FSP Pro is equipped with a high-end deckpad of5mm which offers both a optimal gripand a comfort exceptional.
At the rear, the 3D Function Tail Pad provides “intelligent” contact thanks to its groovings and openings specially designed to improve proprioception: your feet remain planted and constantly receive the information necessary for precise surfing.
Up front, the Front Pad Ridge Traction guarantees absolute grip and surgically precise control, while maintaining comfortable cushioning.
With this multi-zone deckpad, the new Zero offers contact that is precise, comfortable and perfectly controlled.

The ergonomic carrying handle on the deck makes it easy to handle the board outside of the water. It also allows you to take the board out of the water with one hand, which is very practical!
This handle incorporates the depressurization screw, which protects it and avoids having to place it separately in a dedicated reinforcement which would weigh down the board. A durable and light investment.
The depressurization screw is automatic. This screw is equipped with a membrane which allows air to circulate between the heart of the board and the ambient air but remains impermeable to water. It will manage common pressure variations between the outside and inside of your board. The durability gain is considerable, without you having to worry about it. However, we recommend that you never leave your board in the sun and remove the depressurization screw when traveling by plane.

Our boards are equipped with an adjustable US box and two FCS 2 boxes. The anchoring in the sandwich is firm thanks to the high thickness of our technology, therefore the most efficient and very solid.
These boxes are simply the highest standard of fin boxes on the market. You can therefore mount your fins in 2+1 or trifin according to your desires and your surfing style by accessing an almost infinite catalog of high-end fins.

The leash plug is almost indestructible since it is glued into the high density PVC sandwich of the deck. The assurance of not losing your board in the stones for example, nor of seeing water seep through the plug because the PVC of the sandwich is waterproof.
