For whom?
From beginner kiters to intermediate kiters looking for a versatile pack whatever the conditions of the day, allowing them to navigate and progress in comfort.
For what ?
The Display is the freeride wing to progress! Its significant power base, coupled with a great depower are a delight for long, cool edges. Its maneuverability and ultra-healthy feeling on the bar are great in waves.
Thanks to its stability and excellent feedback on the bar, it also allows you to let loose in freestyle. Especially since with its ultra-rapid take-off you will no longer have stress or slow down progress.
Associated with the SWAY Wood Flex twin tip, this pack allows you to push the freeride slider to its maximum.
What size kite?
The Display with its low ratio and powerful profile is a kite that you don't need to overline to have fun.
Choose your wing by following our recommendations below. Wind ranges always depend on your weight, level and the support under your feet!
What size bar?
The choice of your bar size will have a direct impact on the overall feeling of your kite. remember that the longer your bar is, the easier it will be to turn your wing. This detail is important when using larger kites, mainly in very light wind, to maintain good responsiveness. The larger lever arm compensates for this loss of natural reactivity.
You must keep in mind that on the contrary, the smaller a wing is, the more quickly it will turn! So using a smaller bar allows you to balance the behavior and calm the reactions of the kite. You must therefore take these parameters into account to choose the size of your bar and adapt the piloting to the feeling you like and the conditions encountered.
- If we are looking for a smooth and progressive ride, we must “undersize” the size of our bar.
- If you prefer fast and responsive riding, you should choose a larger bar.
The key size is the 52cm bar. This is the most versatile bar that you should choose if you only want to have one bar for a 7-9-12 or 8-11 or even 8-10-13 quiver.
When you are equipped with an extended kite quiver, the must is to also equip yourself with a bar quiver to maintain a balanced feeling when going from a small kite to a larger one. Also note that having two bars reduces the wear of the parts by half!
Here are our recommendations:
The above recommendations are based on the behavior of GONG kite wings. As our bars are compatible with a large number of kites, you can adapt the choice according to the type of kite used.
Line length:
Your Feel-X bar comes standard with 80cm prelines, 19m of lines and 3m extensions already fitted.
The original assembly is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.
One of the main advantages of the Display is the great tolerance provided by its shape. By playing along its lengths, or even by modifying them using our extensions (sold separately), you boost its versatility even more!
22m lines: The "standard" length allows a more progressive and predictable bar feel (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your flight window will be larger, thus offering more power at start-up. This is the setting to favor in low and medium range, and for everyday freeride use.
19m lines: Short lines provide a more direct response from the kite, increasing its responsiveness. The flight window will be shorter. This is the perfect setting for advanced level kiters, top wave or foil for more liveliness.
If you choose to sail with short lines, you will also gain comfort in high range.
Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment of your driving sensation.
What size board?
The starting point for choosing the size will be your template. But depending on your level, you can choose different sizes:
For beginner and/or progressing kiters, choose a larger size to make it easier to waterstart and get upwind.
For intermediate riders looking for more responsiveness and versatility, a smaller size will be great for starting jumps.
What size Pads/Straps?
These pads/straps are simply the best at the moment: super comfortable and durable materials an infinite number of settings a double Velcro for perfect tightening around your foot.
Available in size M and L, take advantage of this combo to get the best out of your board.
Choose your size based on your shoe size.
- M for 5 to 10 or 38-43
- L from 11 to 13 or 44-47

WHAT INFLATION PRESSURE ?
The recommended pressure is indicated in the “Size guide”, at the top of the page.
You need to consider certain elements:

- An underinflated kite will be unstable and difficult to control in gusty winds. Relaunching will also be more complicated with a kite that doesn't maintain its shape.
- An overinflated kite increases the risk of explosion during a crash and will fatigue the seams and materials of your kite more quickly.
- If you leave your kite inflated in the sun for a long period, we recommend slightly deflating it to reduce the risk of seam fatigue.
KITE WITH OR WITHOUT PULLEYS ?
The primary goal of the Display is to combine versatility with simplicity. A pulley-less bridling system like the Elips would make it too reactive. Conversely, three pulleys like the Vertigo would reduce the simplicity and tolerance aspects of this kite.
We chose to work on a short bridling system with a single friction ring pulley on each side. This type of bridling, simple and proven, provides tolerant control to the kite and limits wear for an additional sense of security.

COMPATIBILITY OF BARS ?
The Display has been developed to work with the FeelX bar. Our bar has four lines of equal length and a low V on the front lines.
