Wing foil Board Inflatable HIPE Cruzader
Program
The HIPE Cruzader is the ultra light-wind board for wing, lowkite, and downwind, with all the practicality of a high-performance inflatable.
Presentation
The HIPE Cruzader 2026 is a glide and early takeoff machine, built to fly when everyone else is stuck to the water.
On the water, it changes your everyday sessions. Flying below 10/12 knots becomes an easy reality, without having to use huge, a cumbersome wing. A few pumps on a big foil and you’re cruising full speed from 6/8 knots. You’re not far from flying on pure glassy conditions, with unreal sensations. No more days without flying, no more frustration; magic sessions on clean waves that aren’t destroyed by wind. Riding a Cruzader really opens up a whole new world.
In wing foiling, it often lets you stay on more reasonable wing sizes; think 5 m² and under; without having to oversize and grind through heavy pumping with bulky wings. In lowkite, the board’s natural glide carries you into flight just as effortlessly. No need to oversize to take off, and no need to wait for 15 knots. You pump an efficient foil and; boom; you’re flying.
Its shape DNA is 100% Cruzader: narrow and relatively long, with maximum flat-water glide to accelerate and trigger foil lift with minimal energy. The stance is naturally centered, which eliminates the “long board” feeling. You keep a compact feel under your feet, with a short nose in front of the front foot, while the useful length works behind you to support and launch. The rounded point tail and rounded rails contribute to that free, highly efficient glide.
In 2026, the key evolution is in the rear third. The board gains more width under the back foot and about +2 to 3 L in the tail, with a line that changes significantly (around +3 cm at the OFO tail). Kneeling, standing, at takeoff, and while pumping, it’s immediately more forgiving, more stable, with more “repop” when you relaunch. The extra area in the rear third makes balance easier; especially in lowkite; without sacrificing the glide that defines the Cruzader.
Comfort also improves noticeably, and that matters on a board with this level of efficiency. The deck pad is wider, and the strap inserts are now fully flush with the pad: a perfectly flat surface with zero irritation, whether you’re lying down, kneeling, or standing. Strapless, or without the rear strap while learning, the contact is direct and natural. In a strapped setup, the three rear-strap positions let you fine-tune your stance precisely and choose exactly where you sit between comfort and commitment.
HIPE technology remains the heart of the concept: a hybrid “double board,” with a rigid composite base for hold and precision, and an inflatable volume bonded on top for comfort, forgiveness, and safety. The ICS plate delivers absolute stiffness, with a feel very close to a hard board on the water; no flex, no twist; for a board that’s virtually indestructible in use and fully repairable in our workshop, for example. The construction uses the best inflatable tech, with double-layer fusion woven dropstitch, plus a weight optimization introduced in 2025; you feel the difference the moment you pick it up.
For setup and tuning, it’s designed to be simple and fast. The reinforced extra-long GONG US boxes offer a huge adjustment range for foil position. The SCS system with double drilling at the mast-plate stance makes installation easier, and the tuning references on the ICS plate make adjustments quicker and more precise. The integrated handle in the carbon plate really helps for launching and exiting, especially with these volumes and lengths.
Finally, everything is built around real-world use: a redesigned wheeled travel bag (more comfortable shoulder straps plus chest strap, larger front pocket for storing front wing, stab, and accessories), a double-action pump with multiple adapters, straps and foil hardware included, and a clean 2026 look. If you want one board that can cover wing light and lowkite, with the downwind bonus, the HIPE Cruzader 2026 is one of those choices that quickly becomes obvious.
NARROW OUTLINE
With its width reduced to a minimum, you are on the most ultimate inflatable board for glide. The 6” dropstitch allows for substantial volume over a narrow width. The board glides over the water like a SUP race board: ideal for popping early and for restarting in the bumps.
Its extremely narrow outline boosts its preflight speed and take-off. It’s crucial. Once in the air, you enjoy a unique ability to go for almost every angle in the carves without ever touching the water, even if it is rather marginal for the cool use it is intended for. But it is a really beautiful outline to see.
Flat Rocker
The rocker is as flat as possible because we want to fly. Besides, once in the air the rocker is not fundamental. Having a lot of rocker would slow the takeoff, and that’s really not the point. Remember that the objective is to have fun in the small sluggish days. That’s why this rocker makes sense.
Slender Rounded Pin Tail
Its slender tail appears to generate no drag.
In 2026, the larger surface area in the rear third boosts pumping, lifts and stabilizes the board, and accelerates access to flight.
Deck
The HIPE Cruzader's deck is flat and streamlined.
Its pad covers the entire usable surface. Even more covering, with greater width, you 'll find the grip you expect, whatever the activity.
With the new inserts concealed in the pad, your feet are free when you're riding strapless. They will naturally slide into the straps whenever you want.
ROUNDED POINT NOSE
The rounded point nose keeps the liveliness of a fine nose but brings the little touch of additional comfort that we are very happy to have sometimes.
A SPECIFIC ICS PLATE
The outline of the plate has been designed for high-level performance. Pointed at the rear, it perfectly matches the shape of the tail of the board and offers maximum glide before flight by letting the water escape as cleanly as possible.
The plate is also extended at the front to best adapt to the particular use of the HIPE Cruzader and the very different foils that can be added to it.
It is designed to withstand the stresses of our giant wings: the ultimate combo for early take-offs.
To optimize weight, glide and bending management, our plate has a unique 3D volume:
A beam at the axis prevents any bending.
A very gentle volume drop on the front reduces the thickness and therefore the weight, while retaining the necessary mechanics to support the pressure of the front heel.
At the rear, the drop in volume is more brutal on the sides to recover verticality which will further support the beam effect on the plate.
The whole thing is “steamlined” according to a hydrodynamic study of the flows which also promotes speed in contact with water, valuable before flight but also to avoid braking during touchdowns.

Buying guide
For whom?
In wing foiling, you must have a decent level or a strong motivation because the HIPE Cruzader is a demanding board. Whatever your weight and your desires, the HIPE Cruz will be the queen of light wind. Satisfaction guaranteed for a level of hassle equal to zero!!!
In SUP foiling with a big foil, it’s almost easy, but paddling, and especially in the chop: it’s technical. So you must have a great level as a SUPer before considering a HIPE Cruz. Otherwise it will have to be tamed for a long time beforehand on the flat.
It is clearly the board for those who want to go to the maximum of their potential in marginal conditions.
For what ?
The HIPE Cruzader is a pure light wind board that combines performance and the advantages of an inflatable board!
Having said that, we naturally think about travel. Who hasn't spent a week's vacation in the sun with just enough wind to avoid flying? It's enough to drive you crazy… Well, with the HIPE Cruzader, that's a thing of the past! You take it with you = you'll fly!!!
And because it is narrow, it is comfortable in all performance ranges, including Vmax in DW because the control at "high speed is fantastic".
Ideal for surfing on soft bumps, it allows you to make the most of mediocre days.
In wing foiling, it's the ultimate tool for flying in light winds. Ultra cool, truly on-trend, it's the ultimate frustration-free board. Absolutely essential.
In lowkiting, this board is almost indispensable in the quiver. It glides so well that everything becomes easy.
And on flat water with no wind, it's a fantastic toy to get some exercise and have fun with friends flying with a huge foil.
What size?
Don't rely solely on the board's volume; this shape derives its full potential from its length, which is its number one advantage. A little extra comfort won't hurt. There's a good chance you'll be riding with positive volume, even if the best riders don't achieve it on their usual wingboard.
Here are some examples to help you make the right choice:
- The longer the board, the earlier you can start, whether winging in light winds or paddling.
- The 6'0 and the 6'6 are aimed at the smaller sizes among you or those who want a 100% wing perf program.
- If you are of average build, or an intermediate level in wing, let yourself be tempted by the 7'0 or the 7'6.
- If you mainly want to use it as your downwind SUP foil board, choose the 7'11 or the 7'6
- If you want to discover the joys of lightwind wing foiling, and you're still in the progression phase, the 7'6 is made for you.
- Your goal is to start on flat water by rowing, choose the 7'11.
- If you're a strong person, or you want comfort, choose the 7'11.
The bigger it is, the easier it is. It's as simple as that ;-)
Which quiver?
The HIPE Cruzader will perfectly complement a generous quiver, offering a significant advantage in the very specific conditions that often characterize 90% of the day you're in. So don't miss out.
This is an incredible foil board, which can become the cornerstone of your quiver and that you can take with you anywhere.
It will obviously require a very large, even giant, foil to get the most out of it.
A 70cm HM mast will be perfect for a relaxed ride.
Which shape should I choose?
The concepts behind each inflatable board in our range can be summarized very simply:
- HIPE FIRST : the perfect inflatable foil board for beginners and progression, strapless.
- HIPE LIKE : the alternative to the HIPE First designed to take off early and remain easy.
- HIPE LEARN : the inflatable for learning: flat on the water, first flights and SUP foil compatible.
- HIPE PERF : the inflatable with 95% of the performance of the rigid in an easy and progressive shape.
- HIPE CRUZADER : the inflatable “downwinder” for the highest performance in Wing in lightwind, lowkite and obviously in DW.
- HIPE DIAMOND : the mid-length board with the glide of a downwinder and the agility of a compact board.
- HIPE FREEFLY : the ultimate in strapless inflatable foil boarding.
- HIPE PRO : the inflatable board for scoring in surfing / freestyle.
Which foil wings?
Our V3 foil range is now grouped into 3 families:
- Perf Series for progression.
- Team Series for performance.
- Team Pro for competition.
For beginners:
In the Perf Series V3 range, our X-Over: the first ultra-easy and efficient wings at low speed:
- M for 50kg -> 65kg and all wind forces.
- L for 65kg -> 75kg and all wind forces.
- XL for 75kg -> 85kg and all wind strengths.
- XXL for 85kg and over or for winds less than 15 knots.
The Ascent foil: versatile and faster, for "all-terrain" performance:
S below 65kg and all wind strengths.
- M for 65kg -> 75kg and all wind forces.
- L for 75kg -> 85kg and all wind forces.
- XL for 85kg -> 95kg and all wind strengths.
- XXL for 95kg and over or for winds less than 15 knots
For experienced users:
In Team Series V3, here are our suggestions in line with the HIPE Cruzader program:
- Curve H: Designed for turns, with a moderate+ aspect ratio and excellent control in all situations. Ideal for freeriding and waves, offering forgiveness and comfort.
- Veloce H: A foil designed for glide and speed, with a high aspect ratio for fantastic gliding while maintaining good rail-to-rail maneuverability. Perfect for freefly, surfing, and light wind conditions.
- Veloce HDW: Downwind version of the Veloce, with an extreme ratio for sessions requiring infinite glide: downwind, freefly, pumping, smooth surf, light wind… very efficient with little energy.
- Sirus: A foil with very high lift even at low speeds, for endless pumping and lightwind performance in marginal conditions. Its maneuverability in smaller sizes is perfect for small swells and slow bumps in downwind conditions.
For professionals:
In the Pro Team Series V3 range: ultimate, high-performance, and ultra-fast wings. The Ypra wings are simply the wings of our Pro Team in the World Cup.
At this level, everyone will know how to adapt their equipment to their needs. It's worth noting that wingspan is a key factor to consider when riding high aspect ratio boards. The glide is fantastic, but be careful not to sacrifice maneuverability and rail-to-rail precision by using larger sizes if you're looking for a very aggressive drive. That's why even pros don't necessarily ride high aspect ratio boards!
The size of the front wing, and in particular its surface area and volume, determines the speed-to-lift ratio. The smaller the wing, the faster you'll go, but the less stable you'll be at low speeds. The larger the wing, the earlier you'll get airborne, but you'll be penalized in terms of maneuverability and top speed.
General information on choosing stabilizer sizes:
The preferred size will depend on your equipment, your level, your weight, the conditions of your spot but also your front wing.
A larger stabilizer will facilitate takeoff because the foil will generate significant torque, which will tend to give it a steeper angle of attack. This also implies a more pronounced feedback under the front foot.
A smaller stabilizer will be more technically challenging to launch but will boost speed and maneuverability. You also lose some support on your front foot, which means you'll need to move the foil forward in the box to regain stability.
Always adjust the size of the stabilizer to the size of the front wing to achieve balanced flight and harmonious operation between these two components.
More information is available in the article on the V3 foil range, as well as a size guide specific to each foil on its product page. We also offer some advice below.
Which foil mast?
During your first sessions, you can feel more confident with a short mast (62cm). Falls during your first flights will be less dramatic. But apart from when launching, you will benefit greatly from a long mast (85cm and above).
More length = more margin = easier = better performance.
In choppy water, during transitions, in light winds, a long mast will be ten times more enjoyable. It will prevent you from touching the water and give you the necessary height margin in all your actions.
In pure racing, of course, the must-have is the 100 cm HM mast. Absolutely magical. But the 95 cm aluminium or 92 cm HM are also great.
In freerace, a long mast is also a must. It's no more difficult and it will make fast edges easier.
In freeride, we often look for simplicity and versatility. The 85 cm is the obvious choice. 92 cm for those who want more margin.
In freestyle, we recommend 85 cm to keep a dynamic and controllable rail to rail.
In Surf, we favour radicality and control, so 85 cm. But in solid waves, 92 cm will give you more margin to apply huge angles without dramatically ventilating at the bottom, for example.
Finally, note that a 1.5° rake wedge under an 85 cm mast will give you the nose up margin of a 92 cm. It's the ultimate trick.
In summary, for waves and freestyle, but also for beginners and those looking to improve, an 85 mast (V3 or HM depending on your budget) is ideal. Easy to launch, easy to switch from one rail to the other, it's perfect.
A 92 cm mast and above is designed for racing, offering more margin at high speed in choppy conditions but less manoeuvrability.
Foil positioning?
For GONG foils, place the plate in the center of the US rails to start and move it forward a few centimeters when you start transitions (sign of good progress).
The further forward you move it, the more the board rises. The further back you move it, the more the nose of the board dips.
Be careful not to move it too far forward. There's often a tendency to not let the back foot do the work, especially when coming from kitefoiling. However, moving the foil back a little forces you to put more weight on your back foot, resulting in a more balanced stance and reduced effort.
What paddle length?
If you want to use the HIPE Cruzader in SUP foil, you will need a paddle between your height + 10cm and your height.

What accessories?
Safety is of paramount importance for the practice of board sports, and even more so when it comes to foil sports.
A wing leash is essential . Once released, if the wing is not held by its leash, it will immediately fly away several dozen meters from you, and it will only stop its course once it is blocked by an obstacle which will damage it in most cases.
A board leash is also very important, especially when learning. It keeps your board close to you. You keep a safety float within easy reach and, most importantly, prevent it from injuring others. Choose a 6-foot leash with a minimum diameter of 7mm. Check its condition before each session and replace it annually. It's your life jacket.
To practice in the best conditions, it is absolutely necessary to wear a protective helmet and an impact vest .
We have also developed a range of Bodyguard textiles , which provide additional protection against the risk of cuts associated with foiling. The risk is always present, but it is even greater during the learning phase.
We strongly recommend that you protect yourself as much as possible.
Strapped or strapless? 2 or 3 straps?
In wing foiling, riding strapless is sexy because you feel free. But quite honestly, the performance is pretty sluggish…
So it's up to you to decide if feel is more important than performance. With a HIPE Perf, you'll clearly miss out on a large part of its potential without a strap.
With the front straps, you'll have much more control and far less risk of the foil flipping over under your feet. When you're starting out, the front straps are an essential reference point for proper foot placement. You'll save a ton of time.
In the waves, it's obvious; you gain a huge amount with straps, including the back strap. You can recover from crazy situations just by pulling on your feet. And what about tricks? The repertoire is tenfold with straps. All jumps are possible, and the cushioning of the inflatable board is amazing for your knees ;-)
Take your first steps with just the front straps. You can add the rear strap as it will provide a good reference point for positioning your foot just in front, and a good grip. But don't use it at first. Once you're comfortable in flight, consider moving the foil back 2cm to get used to the rear strap.
With the multi-position strap inserts, you can choose the stance (the distance between your front and back foot) that suits your size and your riding style: forward foot for comfort or back foot for carrying weight, it's up to you! It's a real plus!
Good to know:
Never leave your board in the sun, especially an inflatable board, and even less so a black carbon fiber board, which will heat up very quickly. You risk it peeling off!
Don't screw in beyond the bottom of the box, or you'll end up inside the inflatable. We supply non-through US squares, but be careful.
Never let your foil board get tossed around in the waves, especially near the shore. You must protect it from major impacts. A wave that sweeps your board away and rolls it can cause serious damage.
Equipments
SCS System
The composite plate is equipped with dual SCS ( Smart Connection System ) entry boxes for easy foil installation and adjustment. The double holes correspond to the stance of the holes on your GONG foil's mounting plate. The foil is presented with the squares already mounted on the plate, which slide into the rails without disassembly. Slide the foil in, tighten the four screws, and you're ready to ride.
To simplify foil assembly, our US mounting squares are connected by a carbon fiber rod and included with the board. This saves time during setup and ensures precise adjustments. No more risk of losing the squares: simply leave them screwed onto the plate and slide them into the US rails through the four insertion holes. No need to disassemble anything: just tighten the screws and you're good to go!
Adjusting the foil is also easier and more precise with the adjustment information written on the plate.
Carrying handle
The handle integrated into the carbon plate on the hull significantly improves comfort when launching and carrying the boat over short distances. Furthermore, it has no impact on the rigidity and strength of our plate, which remain flawless.
Footstraps
The set of 3 footstraps is included with the board.
Developed for wing foiling , these moderately covering straps don't crease when you put them on. There's less surface area on the instep, so there's less risk of getting caught or hitting your foot on the edge of the strap when putting them on quickly. This also allows for better support downwind (balls of the foot) and therefore a more natural wing foiling stance.
Reinforced and padded , they are precise in piloting but still very comfortable .
The double V-shaped front footstrap perfectly centers the foot on the front of the board. This results in a more natural stance and allows for direct and precise control during maneuvers.
With 3 rear strap positions, you can adjust your stance to suit your riding style: comfort or commitment, YOU choose YOUR program. Without straps, the pad remains flat underfoot and you no longer feel any discomfort because the strap inserts are cleverly integrated into the pad.
Every detail has been carefully considered to enhance your experience on the water.
Full deck pad
The premium 5mm thick full pad provides maximum grip and comfort while sailing.
Its grooving Ridge Traction rigid boards are the best in terms of comfort but especially in terms of anti-slip to provide maximum stability and secure support with maximum grip and comfort while riding.
Very different from the dropstitch coating of the board, you immediately feel if your foot is properly placed on the pad.
Compartmented carrying bag
The HIPE Cruzader comes in a super practical and robust wheeled carrying bag.
It's spacious enough to carry your HIPE, foil and wing.
It is designed for comfortable travel and without excess baggage fees on most airlines!
The large front pocket isolates the front wing and stabilizer to protect them. The backpack straps are very well padded and comfortable. The handles are super strong and comfortable.
Integrated compartments in the reverse side of the front panel allow you to securely and neatly store your foil components and screws. Compression straps reduce the bag's volume to a minimum.
Pump, screws and repair kit
The included dual-action rapid inflation pump is super efficient for being the first in the water.
All the screws for the straps and the top plate of the foil are supplied with the board.
A repair kit is also included in case of damage (please note that the kit does not include glue, which you can easily find at your local hardware store (PVC glue)). We also stock the components for your board so we can easily repair it. Everything on an inflatable board can be repaired.

Included equipment:
- ICS carbon plate.
- Ridge Traction 5mm integral deck pad: non-slip and durable deck covering.
- 2 non-through SCS inserts paired by a carbon fiber rod.
