Wing Foil Board Lance Wood 2X

Program
The most compact progression board for wing foiling.
Presentation
The Lance is the most compact progression board in the range. Its very wide design is unique, making it the most easy and fun way to learn wing foiling.
With less than six feet long, the Lance is in the short boards range. This translates into an amazing comfort on land and for transport! On the water too as you don’t have that long nose in front of your feet that slows the board down.
Its great width and carefully distributed volume give it impeccable stability. It makes starting out easier, speeds up your progress, and makes riding much less physically demanding.
Its generous volume provides unbeatable comfort and stability in all conditions. It doesn't tilt over when you're on your knees. You start off relaxed, without worrying about balance, without tiring yourself out, and without falling every 30 seconds.
Once you're standing, this width will greatly help you master the foil and make your early stages easier by keeping the board flat during acceleration phases. With such control, you feel perfectly safe. Enjoy!

Outline
Limited length, sufficient width and a perfectly distributed volume are essential to facilitate your life in wing foiling. It’s also what will get you off the ground early and without having to pump like crazy. In flight, the feeling is great: super lively and easy to handle. The short nose gives a lot of lightness. The stabilization of the foil in the air is natural. It’s easy to learn jibes and tacks in the air. And its absolute stability allows you to fall without exhausting yourself with every relaunch. It’s a real bonus at the start!
Rocker
Thanks to a flat rocker near the rear, glide is optimized. Take off is quick and easy. It’s perfect for light wind and to make the first flights.
Hull
The flat hull on the rear third is 100% planing. The water flow is optimized, offering maximum glide for easy and quick takeoff, regardless of your skill level. The double concave at the front channels the water flow and softens touchdowns, making them smooth and painless.
Tail
A squash tail and a flat hull to generate more glide, to make take off easier and to provide stability when at a standstill. Perfect for the kneeling and standing phases before your first flights.
Rails
Straight and sharp rails at the tail give the Lance more glide, similar to a windsurf board. The sharp edge provides planing, drive, and makes the takeoff phase easier. In the middle, the rails are less vertical and softened on the front third, offering even more comfort and forgiveness.
Nose
The rounded nose is generous while remaining aesthetic and smooth.
The double concave under the nose, combined with the bulb, narrow outline, and faceted rails, makes touchdowns completely painless. Instead of slowing down, the Lance bounces off the water and takes off again immediately. It's truly incredible—this lack of penalty encourages you to attempt maneuvers and will help you progress very quickly.

Buying guide
For whom?
Whether you’re a beginner or just cruising, this is a hassle-free board. It’s smooth and easy, yet very efficient.
Its role is to make your life easier. So a pro will probably find it too big and gentle.
In wing foiling, the Lance is a super accessible board for a beginner, each size corresponds to a rider size or a desire for comfort.
In big volume it is easy for SUP foiling, but in small sizes it will be necessary to be in a good physical shape or to be light. And in any case, you need to be able to paddle straight on a very short board.
Why choose the Lance?
The Lance is a pure wing foiling board, short but very stable, 100% dedicated to progression.
Getting started in wing foiling has never been so easy and enjoyable!
What board size?
Beginners in wing foiling must absolutely have a positive volume balance.
Your weight plus the board’s weight must be less than the board’s volume.
Don’t hesitate to take some volume and width if you’re not sure of your support or not an athletic person.
To be comfortable, we recommend that you take a volume of around your weight + 30 = volume.
Examples for a 7kg board and different sizes:
- 1/I weigh 50 kg + 30 = 80L to be easy. Which means that with a 105L 5’6 I would be very comfortable, but without excess. The minimum to float is: 50kg + 7kg = 57L.
- 2/ I weigh 70 kg + 30 = 100L to be easy. Which means that with a 120L 5’7 I would be very comfortable, but without excess. The minimum to float is: 70kg + 7kg = 77L
- 3/ I weigh 85 kg + 30 = 115L to be easy. Which means that with a 135L 5’8 I would be very comfortable but without excess. The minimum to float is: 85kg + 7kg = 92L.
- 4/ I weigh 100kg + 30 = 130L to be easy. Which means that with a 150L 5’9 I would be comfortable but without excess. The minimum to float is: 100kg + 7kg = 107L.
In wing foiling, you can take a board with a generous volume if you are a beginner.
Which foil?
The Lance is perfect for beginners and quick progression with the X-Over foil.
The X-OVER foil is the ultra-fun foil for learning and progressing in wing foiling!
It’s the ideal companion for your first flights in wing foiling. Its ultra-smooth takeoff, stability, control, and predictable behavior make it the perfect foil to quickly learn how to fly, go upwind, succeed in your first maneuvers, and catch your first waves in wing foiling.
Which stabilizer?
We always recommend pairing a X-Over stab with your X-Over front wing, as these two components are designed for the same purpose and optimized to work perfectly together.
General guidelines for choosing stabilizer sizes:
The ideal size will depend on your board, skill level, weight, spot conditions, and your front wing.

Is the Lance an accessible board?
Absolutely! With its comfortable width, the Lance is the perfect board for beginners, even on the most challenging spots.
WOOD 2X or FSP 2X?
- Wood 2X
The board is fully reinforced over the fiberglass lamination with a wood sandwich, vacuum-bonded, and a super-strong biaxial fiberglass layer. Fully reinforced means the deck, bottom, and rails. The deck also benefits from an additional 3mm high-density PVC (Airex) sandwich reinforcement to prevent impacts, ensuring durability. This technology is perfect for beginner wing foilers looking for an unbeatable price/durability combo.
- FSP 2X
The innovative and premium technology called FSP 2X offers the best weight/durability/performance compromise on the market. It's simply the best in custom vacuum fiberglass technology available in series production.
