GEAR: A SHAPE OF ALL TRADES WITH THE CRUZADER POINT
Pioneer in new conditions and disciplines with the revolutionary shape of the Cruzader Point. The Cruzader is a phenomenon...
The ultimate board for light winds, downwinders, surfing, connecting waves and pumping on flat water. Be it in prone foiling, wing foiling or SUP foiling!
Pure shapes of downwind SUP boards have truly changed the way we see spots and weather forecasts around the world. Off days are a thing of the past!!!
With the new Cruzader Point, we offer THE ultra-efficient shape with minimal width and maximum glide, and its accessible XL version, for SUP foiling and winging.
Whether you are winging or SUP foiling, the experience is complete with extreme performance. Downwinders, light winds, wave riding, freerace, flat starts, and even prone foiling downwinders or surf foiling in tiny waves. Whether you have a paddle, a wing or just your arms, the Cruzader Point allows you to experience new ways to glide with minimal resistance and fly endlessly.
The development was focused on optimizing glide. The new Cruzader Point is quite simply the queen of glide and light wind conditions in the 2024 wingboard range.
With 20 different sizes ranging from 5’ to 8’, the Cruzader Point offers a multitude of programs, maximum performance and an uncompromisingly innovative shape.
small sizes of the Cruzader Diamond and Cruzader Point embody a new emerging trend in wing foiling.
If you are an intermediate to expert winger, dedicating your practice entirely to carving through swell or on waves, you are likely looking for boards that will allow you to use the smallest wing and foil possible. You are also seeking boards that are as narrow as possible but close to the 5′ mark for minimal interference in your turns and maneuvers.
Inspired directly by the shapes of larger-sized downwind SUPs, this trend aims to capitalize on the exceptional planing ability of such shapes but in “miniature” versions. Once again, GONG pioneers by introducing two series models, available in over 10 sizes smaller than 6′, ideal for pure gliding in wing foiling.Inspired by downwind SUP shapes in large sizes, this trend aims to capitalize on the exceptional planing capacity of this type of shape, but in miniature versions.GONG is once again a pioneer by launching two production models, available in more than 10 sizes less than 6′, ideal for pure glide wing foiling practice.

Buying guide
XL sizes are highly manageable in Wing, offering no significant challenges, even for sporty beginners exploring longer lengths. This is particularly true as this type of board is designed for very calm conditions in Wing, and the enhancement in glide is fantastic in light winds.
In narrow widths for Wing, the difficulty level is comparable to that of a Lethal with the same volume. It requires a sporty and technical approach, but nothing insurmountable or unpleasant.
In SUP, a high level of skill is essential, even when using the Cruzader Point XL. Paddling on a narrow and relatively short board remains a technical and physical challenge, but the experience becomes truly fabulous once in flight.
Lying down on the board is easy, and selecting a narrow width can significantly boost paddle speed.
These boards cater to a broad audience, not just professionals. It’s all about finding the right size for your needs.
The Cruzader Point is a pure SUP downwind board, offering optimal performance in both swell and small surf. However, it’s also an incredible board for Wing activities in lightwind, downwind, surf, freeride, and freerace.
It’s undoubtedly the board for those who want to hit the water every possible day, never missing a session due to equipment constraints. Its narrow design makes it comfortable for achieving high speeds in Wing or during rapid downwind runs, thanks to its fantastic control at high speeds on this “toothpick.” What’s remarkable about this shape is that it optimizes performance on both ends of the speed spectrum:
It’s truly an outstanding race board for light wind in Wing, let’s say under 20 knots. Takeoff is so easily optimized that using a small foil becomes a simple formality. The speed is impressive, and in case of a wind lull, its length allows for a smooth return.
Ideal for surfing or on soft bumps, it lets you make the most of mediocre days and Wing ride in offshore windless conditions. The potential in such situations is incredible.
In Wing, the new smaller sizes also hold true to its qualities in strong winds: absolute glide, carving, and the beauty of the shape. The sensation of a very short shape is present because, unlike a traditional Wing board, you are very centered on a Cruzader. Thus, the nose is very short.
On a windless and flat day, it’s a fantastic toy to train and have fun with friends, flying with an immense foil.
The Cruzader Point is the ultimate SUP board. However, by playing with volumes, it can be adapted to your needs.
In SUP foiling, it is imperative to have a significantly positive volume balance. The combined weight of the rider and the board must be less than the volume of the board. Don’t hesitate to opt for a bit more volume and width if you’re unsure of your balance.
A confirmed and athletic SUPer would choose a volume sufficient to float with a margin, around their weight + 30 or + 40 = volume.
A pro would choose a volume sufficient to float, around their weight + 10 or + 20 = volume.
In wing foiling, you can go for a generous volume to have a versatile and easy board. However, if you already have a good level, on the contrary, you will seek a volume limit following the same rule as in SUP foiling above.
Comfort:
You can choose a volume sufficient to float, roughly your weight + 10 or more = board volume.
Sport:
You can also underlitre it to gain responsiveness. It requires a superb skill level and a desire for maximum responsiveness to transition to “negative” volumes, meaning your weight > volume.
Up to your weight – 15 = volume, you can easily start kneeling by leaning slightly on the wing on the water.
In competition, our team uses between 10L and 15L less than their weight. This is currently the compromise that offers them the most performance because it boosts responsiveness and secures landings.
Sinker
At your weight – 30 = volume, you’ll need to start with the board sinking: it’s technical, very physical, and you lose some of the low wind range. And most importantly: you need depth, which can be annoying. The performance gain is debatable based on your skill level, but the gain in sensations and responsiveness is interesting for some. It’s also the best way to have lightweight equipment, which is essential for pros, especially for stronger individuals.
Ultimately, the most unstable volume is often around 20L less than your weight.

The concept of each board of the range can be summed up very simply:
Equipments
Equipped with the extra-long XL foil box system (+10cm) for the SCS system, the Cruzaders provide an extensive range of adjustments, allowing for optimal use in Wing and SUP foil activities.
The multiple strap inserts (13 strips of 5 inserts) allow you to mount the footstraps for the SUP stance or the wing foiling position. The extra inserts also meet the current demand for an offset back foot for a more natural stance when surfing or freeflying. With the Cruzaders, you have a ready-made solution.
The set of footstraps is offered with the board. Since 2023 we have reviewed the outline of our straps to further improve comfort. Developed for wing foiling, these straps with less cover do not bend when put on.
More rigid, they offer a more precise steering but are still as comfortable. There is less surface area on the feet so there is less risk of staying stuck in the straps or banging your foot on the edge of the strap when rushing into it. It also allows better leeward control (tip of the foot) and therefore a more natural attitude in wing foiling.
We have worked on every detail to improve your experience on the water.
The V-shaped footstraps perfectly center the foot on the front of the board. The position is thus more natural and allows direct and precise control in maneuvers.

For 2023, our SCS system launched on the HIPE is integrated on all our foil boards. It’s beautiful, efficient and above all it saves time you can spend on the water. With its 4 entries, the GONG double entry box facilitates the assembly and adjustment of the foil. Performance without the hassle. We leave the nuts and the screws on the plate, just insert the foil, screw and off we go! Setting up the foil is much faster and easier. It is the plug and play solution which facilitates adjustments!(inserts not supplied with the board).

A handle developed by our R&D and our ergonomics engineer has been integrated into our boards this year. We can better close our hands in it: a firmer and more comfortable grip. The depressurization screw is directly integrated into the handle.
It is placed on the hull to allow one-handed carrying. You can have the wing in the other hand to get past the whitewater or to get out of the water. And as we always do things seriously, the handle is placed in a block of hydrophobic PVC foam and covered with fiber.
The top-of-the-range 5mm thick integral pad provides maximum grip and comfort when sailing, while protecting the board from shocks. This hard brush pad sublimates the board. This flat pad provides absolute comfort and a magical grip with more precision. This is obvious on long sessions: the feet are less tired.
