Faster, more maneuverable, the Ayto generates monstrous lift. It’s made to boost airs like never before. Its high aspect ratio provides great stability, allowing for powered-up riding and clean pops.

With its ultra-light and rigid UPE Aramid structure, we were able to refine the diameters by almost 15%. The Ayto DP gains enormously in lightness and glide, with formidable accelerations in all phases of flight.

The Double Profile innovation is a revolution in terms of flying quality of a kite. By combining stability and speed, it ensures undisturbed air flow. Your kite gains 30% efficiency: it goes faster, lifts you higher and longer, accelerates in less wind, is more stable at the zenith... It is better in all aspects of flight and steering.

We have pushed the reduction in diameter on the tips even further with the Low Drag System which was first invented for wing foiling: very thin tips which do not drag air. The rigidity of the tip is ensured by a small carbon batten. More speed, predictability, and precise handling because your rear lines activate the carbon batten: zero inertia, zero deformation, the kite reacts instantly.

Loops are executed with formidable precision. The simple kite loop is no longer a challenge with the Ayto: double, S, triple, all the latest tricks are on the menu. You always have a controlled loop, with a kite that never chokes, ultra-responsive and that renews energy.

Besides its qualities for sending huge tricks, the wow effect of the Ayto is having the handling/glide feeling of a 9m2 while being on a 12m2. It's shocking! It turns like no other. The Ayto Aramid DP is built with the best materials available for high performance kiting.

Our decades-long experience in kite making, along with all the advancements made in wing technology, have enabled us to push the performance of our kites to unprecedented levels.

UPE Aramid combined with seams tested on the test bench and the water for years by our Team, offers the best in terms of lightness, rigidity and resistance for the inflatable structure.

The proven triple ripstop fabric offers perfect longevity and resistance with an ultra-lightweight of 55g/m2.

Strategically placed reinforcements ensure the durability of your equipment:

  • Insigna on the friction areas of the leading edge.

  • The tips are reinforced with Dacron DP175LL and Nylon 1680D on the last sections of the leading edge.

  • The trailing edge is in Dacron DP175LL to resist flapping over time.

Double Profile Design

The Double Profile design is an innovation that will be a landmark in the world of kiting!

Not because GONG invented it, as it just makes sense and already exists in windsurfing, boating, hang gliding, in the history of kiting, and in wing foiling thanks to us. But simply because GONG has made it possible on a large scale for everyone to enjoy, thanks to 10 years of work on this concept.

Our specific concept, recorded for several years, consists of erasing internal disturbances to the simple profile by the measured addition of a segmented internal profile, which allows air and water to circulate without restriction.

The internal skin simply erases the imperfections of the kite's glide. Acting in both pressure and depression, the internal skin will tighten or relax depending on the situation. It is this dosage of tension that is revolutionary. We are not trying to make this double skin rigid like a drum: we let it play its role of glide shock absorber.

So at the zenith in very little wind, it will inflate and lock the kite, preventing it from passing behind you. Do the test by walking towards it: it holds up in the air. It’s really reassuring.

Conversely, at full power, the double skin will arch to get closer to the extrado and accelerate the kite.

This almost biomimetic adaptability is unrivaled and gives this kite flying qualities that you have never had in your hands.

LDS Tips

The wingtips play a major role in your kite's behavior. By combining a strong tension, perfectly distributed across the entire kite, and a precisely calculated internal tip twist, we have endowed the Ayto with exceptional responsiveness. 

On this Team series model we have also introduced an innovation coming from wing foiling: the LDS system: Low Drag System. It allows the diameter of the tips to be further refined for better glide.

This carbon batten system in the tip also boosts responsiveness for an unrivaled level of performance. The rear line acts on the carbon batten, which means the entire tip is connected to your bar, without deformation, without latency.

Technology Kite Ayto Aramid DP Team Series

Our kite wings are manufactured in one of the two largest kite factories in the world, meeting the quality standards of the finest kites.

They are meticulously crafted, with panels cut by CNC machines and fully assembled by skilled workers in the kite industry.

The materials we use are among the most premium available. While we prioritize performance, we also prioritize durability, selecting materials with proven track records:

  • Leading edge and struts made of very light, rigid and durable UPE Aramid.
  • Anti-flap trailing edge reinforcement made of Dacron DP175LL.
  • High-quality triple ripstop fabric to prevent tear propagation.
  • Insigna reinforcements on the leading edge.
  • Tips saver made of nylon 1680D to protect against wear from ground friction.
  • Thin bridles made of Dyneema LIROS, ROBLINE, or COUSIN.

  • Hybrid C shape : avec beaucoup de C pour un maximum de réactivité : design moderne, stable, prédictible, et hyper dynamique. Coefficient de projection : 62,2% : arc le plus fermé de la gamme.
  • Ratio important (5,46) pour un maximum de vitesse, qui favorise le hangtime, les ressources, et les gros boosts en kite loop.
  • Profil 100% performance : reculé pour plus de Vmax du kite et un maximum de stabilité en plage haute. Relativement creux (par rapport à sa corde étroite, donc fin en valeur absolue) pour un lift dingue et permettre une super ressource dans les loops.
  • Double Profil pour plus de glisse, plus de sustentation, un drift parfait, une plage basse incroyable, plus de tenue en plage haute, et une réactivité parfaite.
  • Bord d’attaque fin au centre pour une aile rapide et fine dans l’air, tout en gardant un peu de  section sur les tips pour conserver de la rigidité lors de fortes sollicitations dans les moves ou en plage haute. Ça reste malgré tout assez fin aux tips pour autoriser un fort vrillage et une vitesse de rotation extrême. Un profil affiné qui optimise le vent apparent, le cap, le contrôle ; mais qui reste parfaitement rigide sans jamais poulper.
  • Creux important en proportion de la corde du profil pour de la puissance à bas régime et une bonne accroche dans les actions radicales. Mais ce creux est fin dans l’absolu puisque le ratio est important, donc avec une corde faible.
  • Outline big air élancé pour un maximum de glisse et de vitesse du kite.
  • Lattes courbes qui dynamisent les tensions, maintiennent parfaitement le profil, et conservent le shape du kite même lors des loops avec de très fortes torsions.
  • Tips rondes et de surface modérée pour optimiser les actions du vrillage dans les kite loops. La tip interne du kite se déforme pour tourner encore plus vite et sur l’oreille.
  • Vrillage interne des tips important pour un maximum de réactivité aux actions de barre et des rotations radicales. Isolément, ce vrillage est presque nul car il est en réalité le fruit de la très forte tension appliquée à tout le kite. La résultante est un kite qui vrille très fortement au pilotage.
  • Tension de spi très forte sur chaque section pour un pilotage du kite très réactif (direct feeling : pas de temps de latence).
  • Retour en barre très dosé pour un pilotage fin et sans forcer, notamment à une main. Cela évite les grosses erreurs car on sent bien le kite mais on n’a pas besoin de “tordre” la barre pour le faire réagir.
  • Depower médium car on souhaite avoir un fond de puissance dans le harnais qui garantisse un plané ultime pendant les tricks. En clair, les avants sustentent et on ne laisse dans les arrières que le pilotage directionnel. Le haut ratio permet ces choix sans prise de risque car ce kite va vite en bord de fenêtre et reste docile avec une faible corde.
  • Shape stable pour un kite prévisible et un maximum de sécurité dans les conditions extrêmes. Les tips reculées qui répartissent la masse un peu vers l’arrière du kite pour éviter les piqués/décrochages. On a en mains un kite prévisible et sain pour un maximum de sécurité.
  • Bridage court des avants pour éviter qu’il ne s'emmêle dans les tips et rendre le kite plus réactif ; frappé sur 6 points, sans poulie pour un feeling hyper direct et sans concession.
  • 3 réglages sur le bridage avant :

               - vers l’extérieur du kite pour plus de fond de puissance, moins de présence en barre, un rayon de rotation un poil plus large et plus de stabilité pour le freestyle.

               - vers l’intérieur pour un kite moins puissant dans les avants/le harnais qui tourne plus vite et plus de depower.

               - le réglage central pour une polyvalence parfaite.

  • 3 points d’attaches des arrières pour doser la réactivité et la présence en barre selon le feeling de chacun.

Buying guide

For Whom?

The Ayto DP is a pro kite, requiring significant experience and commitment to be utilized effectively.

For What?

The Ayto DP is an ultra-maneuverable high aspect kite. Extremely lively and fast, it offers incredible lift and thanks to the addition of the Double Profile, stability throughout the window with an extraordinary catch! Multiply loops and stay in the air.

Ultimate kite for big air and kite loops, it is also appreciated in unrelated programs but which require maneuverability and a lot of speed in the window (fast waves for example).

Perf Series:

Display: the freeride kite for rapid progression.

Vertigo: high-performance kite for all disciplines from unhooked to surfing.

Ayto: the ultimate 5-strut kite for big air and kite loops.

Unik: lightweight mono-strut freeride kite for light wind, foiling, and waves.

Strutless: super light kite for light wind and freeride/freerace.

Strutless Revo: ultra-light and maneuverable kite for foiling and surfing.

What Size?

With its high aspect ratio, the high wind range is truly where the Ayto shines. The lightness of the UPE Aramid allows the Ayto DP to gain stability in low range compared to the Ayto Perf Series.




Bar Size:

Keep in mind that the longer your bar, the easier it will be to turn your kite. Also, remember that the smaller the kite, the easier it will turn. So, the smaller the kite, the more you need a smaller bar to balance behaviors.

Conversely, the larger your kite and the more you use it in light wind, the slower it will be. A longer bar will have a greater leverage effect to compensate for this natural loss of reactivity.

Therefore, consider these parameters to choose the size of your bar and adapt the steering to the feeling you like and the conditions encountered.

If you want smooth and progressive steering, then you should “undersize” the bar. If you want more reactive but less forgiving steering, you should choose a longer bar.

For example, if I want smoother steering with my 9m2, then I will go for a 46cm bar.

If I want hyper-reactive steering, then I would go for the 52cm bar.

Oversizing the bar will have little interest and paradoxically will result in a feeling of heaviness in steering in the case of the 62cm. This one will be perfect, even essential in light wind. But in stronger winds, it will be slower to untwist and manipulate.

Between the 46 and the 52, there is no sensation of heaviness. These are two very close bars.

Note also that the 52 is perfectly usable on all our kites. No kite will not work or perform poorly for this reason. The 46, 57 and 62 are just optimizations for perfectionists.

It should also be noted that two bars generally age only half as fast as a single bar for the whole quiver ?

The key size is 52cm; it is the most versatile bar that you should choose if you want to have only one bar for a quiver 7-9-12 or 8-11 or even 8-10-13. If you want to add a second bar to your quiver, here are our recommendations with GONG kites:

The recommendations below are based on the behavior of GONG kites. Since our bars are compatible with a large number of kites, you can adjust your choice according to the type of kite used.


Line Length:

Your Feel-X bar comes standard with 80cm front lines, 19m of lines, and 3m extensions already mounted. The original setup is the most versatile and will be your best choice for 90% of your sessions.

One of the main advantages of the Feel-X bar is its great tolerance provided by its shape. By playing with its lengths, or even modifying them with our extensions (sold separately), you further enhance its versatility!

  • 22m Lines:
    The "standard" length provides a more progressive and predictable bar feeling (recommended setting for progressing kiters). Your flight window will be larger, offering more power at takeoff. This is the setting to favor in light to medium wind conditions, and for everyday freeride use.
  • 19m Lines:
    Shorter lines offer a more direct response from the kite, increasing its reactivity. The flight window will be shorter. This is the perfect setting for advanced kiters, especially for wave riding or foil for more agility. If you choose to ride with shorter lines, you will also gain comfort in high wind conditions.

Note that 22m and 19m are not extreme line lengths and remain a fine adjustment to your piloting sensation.


Equipments

Included equipment:

  • Your kite, ready to sail (excluding bar and pump).
  • A sturdy and efficient backpack: U-shaped zipper for easy storage, ventilation grid, padding, compression straps, bar pocket, pump straps...
  • The One Pump system for quick inflation and deflation of the battens (the clamps are not mounted on the kite; they are delivered in the repair kit included in your kite bag).
  • A pump leash loop on your kite to secure your kite during inflation.
  • Universal inflation valve with high flow rate.
  • Repair kit.
  • Micro-battens on the trailing edge.
  • Rear adjustment: 3 points.

All our kites are obviously compatible with our FEEL-X bar but also with 95% of the bars on the market. If in doubt, equip yourself with a complete set (x4) of pigtails: PIGTAILS.

Remember to equip yourself with a pump ;-)

GONG makes its durable kites last: offering you all the components of our products for 10 years is a challenge that we are happy to meet. Because we are convinced that a good kite today is still a good kite in 5 years if well maintained. And this maintenance is good for the planet because it will allow many young people to equip themselves second-hand at very affordable prices.

To ensure a long life for your kite, it will need to be maintained.

1/ We can do it for you in our workshop. Our expert teams are at your disposal to diagnose and solve your problems.

2/ We keep in stock the necessary spare parts, including fabric. Just place an order online, or ask your favorite repairer to do so.

If unfortunately the part is not in stock, we will order it to have it as soon as possible.

Delivery

Delivery delay

We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.

The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.

We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.

Shipping fees

Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.

Tracking your package

Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.

Carriers

We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.

For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.

For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.

Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.

Eco-responsible packaging

Preserving the environment is an absolute priority. This is why we do everything possible to reduce our ecological footprint.

The most important thing is to sell quality, durable products that will be repairable and will please you for a long time.

For our shipments, we use:

Scotch craft paper.

Final packaging in high-end cardboard.

For rigid boards: Flexi-Hex, very high resistance ecological packaging.

This means:

Reusable and recyclable packaging.

An almost total reduction in single-use plastic.

Maximum protection and impact resistance for rigid boards thanks to the innovative Flexi-Hex honeycomb design (35mm thick).


Receipt of your product

Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.

Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.
