Review of Thomas who went from the classic Ayto to its super-boosted Aramid version with a double-profile.
Wing foiler: Thomas, GONG staff, with an Ayto Aramid DP and Fronteira HDCC.
The Ayto with a double profile
“I went for a spin with the Ayto Team Series (in Aramid with Double Profile) after having done quite a lot of big air sessions with the Ayto Perf Series (in Dacron) with which I had really good sensations. Well, to sum it up: Over-boosted sessions!”
A kite to send the big stuff
“The kite is super responsive and sound even in gusty conditions. It responds directly to the slightest movement of the bar while remaining very predictable and controllable. As a result, I am much more committed when doing kiteloops which have never been so fast. The lift, the precision and the acceleration in rotations are a pure delight in big air sessions!”
More confidence, more performance
“I then had fun with it. Looping the kite lower and lower while pulling less hard on the bar. Even with the kite very low, the catch is direct. In certain situations the kite even tends to pass slightly behind me and this is rather reassuring, especially when foiling because it reduces the approach speed before landing.”
Réglage confort/freestyle ou mode double loop
“I was also able to try the different settings at the rear and on the front bridle, they allow you to have a kite that is more or less maneuverable and with more or less bar presence. You must therefore choose according to your navigation style: rather comfort/freestyle or double loops mode 😉”
