The Ypra Surf Carve V3 Atmo Pro Team Series is the carbon front wing dedicated to performance surf foiling, committed waveriding in wing foiling, and powerful carves in waves that demand support, drive, and control.

It is positioned in the Ypra range as the more lifty and carving-oriented version of the Surf Fast. The Surf Fast excels in powerful, fast, and very clean waves. The Surf Carve provides stronger feedback, easier drive, and allows pushing in more common, onshore, multi-peak, or less perfect waves.

Its 8.2 ratio offers the right balance between maneuverability, glide, speed, and stability. The wing remains compact enough to carve hard, but retains enough glide to exploit lines, maintain speed, and drive between sections.

Its curved leading edge and swept-back tips provide a very natural rail to rail. The wing easily enters the carve, positions underfoot, and remains stable in the line, even as speed increases.

The profile is fast, high-lift, and very forgiving of stalling. It handles high speeds but provides more power at low and medium speeds than a Surf Fast. This allows for early take-off, easy foam crossing, exploiting choppier waves, and driving in less powerful sections.

The front foot pressure is calibrated to offer control in carves. There's enough to hold the wing in powerful carves, provide strong feedback in bottoms, and keep a solid foil underfoot without becoming unmanageable as speed increases.

The high anhedral provides very strong grip. It generates powerful, incisive carving with quick and tight turns, while smoothing the rail to rail transition for fast shifts from one edge to the other.

The Ypra Surf Carve is therefore the Pro Team surf performance wing for riders who want to push hard, carve powerfully, drive in less perfect waves, and maintain a very present foil underfoot.

Ratio of 8.2

The Ypra Surf Carve adopts a ratio of 8.2 to offer the right balance between manoeuvrability, lift, speed, stability, and control in surfing lines.

This ratio keeps the wing compact enough to carve hard, tighten the carving turns, and accelerating fast on short sections, while offering enough glide to maintain speed and exploit the lines.

The Surf Carve is not a glide wing. It is made to take off, accelerate, redirect, and keep a foil present underfoot in committed surfing.

Carving outline

The compact and high-performance outline of the Surf Carve allows for quick turns, tight carves, solid bottoms, and efficient re-entries.

The curved leading edge facilitates engaging in the carve. The wing naturally transitions from rail to rail, maintains a smooth trajectory, and remains predictable even as speed increases.

This shape is designed for waves where you need to re-engage, attack, and maintain a trajectory despite less perfect sections. You keep the flow, but above all, responsiveness.

Setback tips

The swept-back tips enhance longitudinal stability and set the wing in the carve. The foil remains more predictable during powerful pressure, quick carves, and re-entries in less clean sections.

They are less swept back than on the Surf Fast, to retain more power, more front foot pressure, and more responsiveness in less powerful waves.

This placement provides a wing that grips but doesn't disappear. The rider can push hard, load up the bottom turn, generate speed, and maintain solid control underfoot.

High-lift and fast profile

The profile of the Ypra Surf Carve is fast, high-lift, and forgiving. It handles high speeds, provides plenty of glide, and prevents stalling in technical sections.

It delivers more power than a Surf Fast at low and medium speeds. This additional lift allows for early take-offs, getting through whitewater, re-engaging in soft sections, and fully exploiting multiple peaks.

The front foot pressure is calibrated to offer control in carves: present enough to maintain strong pressure and provide powerful feedback, but not excessive to remain manageable as speed increases.

High anhedral

The high anhedral of the Surf Carve generates very strong grip. It allows for powerful, incisive carving with quick and tight turns.

The wing holds pressure during direction changes. It grips in the carve, maintains control, and allows you to push hard without losing the trajectory.

This anhedral also smooths out the rail to rail transition. You maintain a grippy wing, but not a rigid one, capable of quickly shifting from one edge to the other in committed surfing.

Imperfect waves shape

The Surf Carve is designed for surf foiling and wing waveriding conditions where you need to accelerate, attack, maintain a trajectory, and keep control in imperfect waves.

In surf foiling, it excels in medium to good quality waves, onshore conditions, multi-peak spots, fast-closing sections, or waves that require frequent acceleration.

In wing waveriding or freefly in the waves, it provides a very responsive wing underfoot, capable of holding a powerful bottom turn, accelerating in a soft section, and maintaining control on the lip.

SuperLock Self-Locking System

The V3 SuperLock self-locking connection has been engineered to ensure a perfect fit between the front wing and the fuselage, even after countless hours on the water. The greater the load applied to the front wing, the more securely the connection mechanically locks itself into the fuselage.

This design delivers a direct improvement in stiffness, precision, and silent operation. The foil remains perfectly secure, with no unwanted play, even under heavy loads during carving, pumping, acceleration, powerful turns, or hard landings. Rider input is transmitted more efficiently, steering becomes more precise, and the feeling underfoot remains consistent.

The connection requires only two screws beneath the front wing. Assembly is faster, simpler, and more user-friendly for everyday use. Wings can be swapped in just moments without multiplying screws or complicating the setup.

The locking angle has been carefully engineered to combine maximum engagement under load with effortless disassembly after the session. Even after an intense ride, the front wing can be removed from the fuselage easily.

This self-locking concept has already proven itself over several years across our V3 foil platform. It is a genuine mechanical advantage: simple, fast, rigid, reliable, and built to last.

Pro Team Series High-Modulus Carbon

The V3 Atmo Team Series front wings feature a premium carbon construction with a 3K Texalium Purple Clear carbon finish that showcases the wing's structure. Compared to fiberglass construction, this technology delivers greater stiffness, faster response, and higher precision, while maintaining outstanding durability.

The TORAY M40J high-modulus carbon fiber used in our layups offers exceptional mechanical properties, particularly in terms of Young's modulus and tensile strength. Combined with intermediate-modulus fibers and carefully engineered layup schedules, it reinforces the structure exactly where the wing needs it most: bending, torsion, connection points, carving loads, pumping, acceleration, and repeated high-load stress.

This increased stiffness has a direct impact on the ride. Inputs are transmitted more immediately, the foil responds with greater precision, and less energy is lost through structural flex. Every pump becomes more efficient. Every carve feels more connected. At high speeds, the foil remains more stable, delivering a cleaner, more controlled feel.

The Team Series is much more than a premium carbon finish. It's a construction specifically engineered to unlock the full potential of the V3 Atmo shapes, with thinner profiles, more refined trailing edges, rigid connections, optimized layups, and a more direct feel underfoot.

It appeals to riders who love the Ypra Surf DNA but find the Surf Fast more suited to fast and powerful waves. The Surf Carve opens up the same performance spirit to more common, onshore, multi-peak, or less perfect conditions.

To avoid if...

The Surf Carve is not the best choice if you're looking for a very neutral, very fast, and highly controllable wing in powerful or very clean waves. For this program, the Surf Fast will be more suitable.

It is not designed for passive gliding. Its program is to attack, press, drive, and keep a foil present underfoot. If you're looking for a softer and more versatile wing, a Curve or a Fluid will make more sense depending on your level and style.

In wing waveriding or freefly in the waves, it provides a very present foil underfoot, capable of carving hard, holding a powerful bottom, driving in a soft section, and maintaining control on the lip.

It can also be suitable for very maneuverable freeride, hopping from bump to bump, playing on barely breaking peaks, making tight turns, and keeping a wing that responds strongly underfoot.

What size?

The choice of size depends on weight, level, support, wave speed, power, and desired style.

Choosing a larger size provides more lift, more drive, and more comfort in soft waves, slow sections, or multi-peak conditions. It's the logical choice for heavier riders, less powerful waves, or sessions where maintaining flow is key.

Choosing an intermediate size offers the best balance between lift, speed, maneuverability, and control. It's often the most coherent choice to exploit the Surf Carve in a wide variety of waves.

A freer tail wing will offer more speed, more release, and more radicality in carves but will require more precision.
