Presentation
Shaped for wave performance in SUP foiling and freeriding in Winging, the versatility and performance of the Flint have never been pushed this far.
In SUP foiling, this board is designed for high-performance surfing! With a solid skill level, you’ll appreciate its compact design, ideal for tight trajectories, shifts in weight, and efficient pumping. Paddling is made relatively straightforward with its advanced wide point, especially if you opt for a generous volume. The broad tail enables you to tilt the board, utilizing its volume for very early drop-ins. The double concave beneath the nose channels the board, enhancing straight paddling.
Unlike the Cruzader, the goal isn’t flatwater takeoffs, but achieving balance is much more straightforward! Consequently, you drop in at the peak, mimicking traditional surfing.
During flight, the board’s impressive maneuverability, achieved through its minimal length, new tail, hull, rails, facets, and double concave, allows for faster and more controlled flights without the fear of significant slowdowns from minor touches or tight turns.
Thanks to the paddle, the board offers a level of maneuverability comparable to a surf foil, providing an enjoyable and responsive feel.
This compact board loves executing turns and airs, making it a genuine SUP foil designed for shortboard-style surfing!

Outline
With a highly compact and harmonious outline, the new Flint 2024 provides even greater maneuverability in turns and enhanced pumping performance. Its substantial width, coupled with an advanced maximum width, ensures constant stability, making waiting at the peak a breeze. 
Rocker
Its rocker is relatively flat for a smoother and easier takeoff while paddling, yet it maintains a good nose kick to prevent nosediving during take-offs and landings. 
Hull and rails
The flat hull on the rear ⅔ of the board combined with straighter and sharper rails offers better glide for even easier paddling and less energy-consuming takeoffs. The double concave under the nose smoothens landings and touchdowns and slightly limits the row effect. 
Tail
A very wide faceted diamond tail on the deck allows the Flint to have very significant stability when at a standstill, allowing you to wait for the sets with great comfort. The quiet faceted rails reduce the hull which ends in a square tail and which translates into less bulkiness and more maneuverability. The traditional tail kick adds a final touch of comfort for take offs and in touchdowns. 
Nose
The double concave under the nose, combined with the bulb, narrow outline and faceted rails, makes touchdowns completely painless. Instead of slowing down, the Flint will bounce on the water and take flight immediately. It’s truly incredible when landing jumps or for airs in surfing. This lack of punishment encourages attempting tricks and will help you progress.

Buying guide
Who is it for?
This is the board for those who want a high-performance short SUP foiling board, but not complicated (more stable than a Cruzader shorter than 7′ for example).
You must already have a good level of foiling to fully benefit from the Flint because there’s not much room for improvisation when rowing on a 6′ board.
This is typically the board for those who want a do-it-all board, but high performance.
In SUP foiling, you must first of all know how to row straight on a small board. Otherwise you won’t catch any waves. If you know how to fly and row, the rest is easy because it is an undemanding board for its size, physically and technically.
As a wing, the Flint is an accessible board. You don’t need to be a world champ to have fun with the Flint. It is both easy for a beginner and efficient. A 2 in 1 board that will make many people happy by dividing the budget and needed space in the trunk.
In large volumes it is easy, but in small sizes you will need to be in good physical condition.
Why choose the Flint?
The Flint is the compact and high-performance board that works equally well as a wing as a SUP foiling board.
It will give you great stability when at a standstill with its generous outline. And it will take off very early thanks to its tight rocker and the very central positioning of the foil. This very centered placement of the foil and straps in a board with a compact outline gives a lot of stability.
- In SUP foiling, it is the most radical board in the range. Ideal for short turns, putting on airs and rotations.
- In wing foiling, it is the balance of a compact and easy board that will seduce you. It has all the advantages of a short board but none of the drawbacks. And it takes off like a breeze.
What size?
In SUP foiling, it is imperative to have a significantly positive volume balance. The combined weight of the rider and the board must be less than the volume of the board. Don’t hesitate to opt for a bit more volume and width if you’re unsure of your balance.
You can take a sufficient volume to float, of about your weight + 10 = volume.
- Example: I weigh 80kg + 10 = 90L to float. Which means that with a 5’6 and 95L I will float, provided I have a good level in SUP foiling. And if I want comfort I will have to add 20 instead of 10 and therefore switch to the 5’8 of 115L.
In wing foiling, you can take it very generously if you are starting out. And if you already have a good level, you will on the contrary go for a volume closer to the limit by following the same rule as in SUP foiling above.

Equipments
SCS system + extra long boxes
Equipped with the SCS system and the extra-long XL foil box boxes (+10cm), the Fint provides an extensive range of adjustments, allowing for optimal use in Wing and SUP foil activities. 
Multiples inserts
The numerous strap inserts (13 strips of 5 inserts) allow you to mount the straps in SUP or Wing configurations. They also meet the common demand for offset rear inserts for more natural support in surfing or freefly. 
The set of footstraps is offered with the board. Since 2023 we have reviewed the outline of our straps to further improve comfort. Developed for wing foiling, these straps with less cover do not bend when put on.
More rigid, they offer a more precise steering but are still as comfortable. There is less surface area on the feet so there is less risk of staying stuck in the straps or banging your foot on the edge of the strap when rushing into it. It also allows better leeward control (tip of the foot) and therefore a more natural attitude in wing foiling.
We have worked on every detail to improve your experience on the water.
The V-shaped footstraps perfectly center the foot on the front of the board. The position is thus more natural and allows direct and precise control in maneuvers.
For 2023, our SCS system launched on the HIPE is integrated on all our foil boards. It’s beautiful, efficient and above all it saves time you can spend on the water. With its 4 entries, the GONG double entry box facilitates the assembly and adjustment of the foil. Performance without the hassle. We leave the nuts and the screws on the plate, just insert the foil, screw and off we go! Setting up the foil is much faster and easier. It is the plug and play solution which facilitates adjustments!(inserts not supplied with the board).
A handle developed by our R&D and our ergonomics engineer has been integrated into our boards this year. We can better close our hands in it: a firmer and more comfortable grip. The depressurization screw is directly integrated into the handle.
It is placed on the hull to allow one-handed carrying. You can have the wing in the other hand to get past the whitewater or to get out of the water. And as we always do things seriously, the handle is placed in a block of hydrophobic PVC foam and covered with fiber.
The top-of-the-range 5mm thick integral pad provides maximum grip and comfort when sailing, while protecting the board from shocks. This hard brush pad sublimates the board. This flat pad provides absolute comfort and a magical grip with more precision. This is obvious on long sessions: the feet are less tired.
Included equipments:
- 2 US GONG Box Double Entry for standard foil plates equipped with 4 screw + nuts (9cm center distance). Compatible with our SCS system. This new system allows ultra-fast assembly of GONG foils.(inserts not supplied with the board).
- 13 x 5-hole footstrap inserts to optimize your position.
- 1 x large light double V-shaped front footstrap and 1 x large light rear footstrap (screws included).
- 5 mm pad : deck covering designed for great comfort and absolute grip.
- GONG carrying handle integrated in the center of the board on the hull.
- Leash plug to never lose your board.

How to place and adjust your straps?
Delivery
Delivery delay
We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.
The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.
We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.
Shipping fees
Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.
Tracking your package
Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.
Carriers
We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.
For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.
For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.
Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.
Eco-responsible packaging
Preserving the environment is an absolute priority. This is why we do everything possible to reduce our ecological footprint.
The most important thing is to sell quality, durable products that will be repairable and will please you for a long time.
For our shipments, we use:
- Scotch craft paper.
- Final packaging in high-end cardboard.
- For rigid boards: Flexi-Hex, very high resistance ecological packaging.
This means:
- Reusable and recyclable packaging.
- An almost total reduction in single-use plastic.
- Maximum protection and impact resistance for rigid boards thanks to the innovative Flexi-Hex honeycomb design (35mm thick).
Receipt of your product
Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.
Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.

When you practice foil you expose yourself to possible serious risks. A poor mastering of a foil can expose you to cuts and/or serious bodily harm, even death for yourself and possibly others around you.

Always foil far from others, and in waters that are secure and without obstacle.
Always wear a helmet andprotective vest that assures floatability. Always wear a full body neoprene wetsuit.
When handling and manipulating a foil be careful not to cut yourself along its edges.
