Leaving a foil in direct sunlight can also damage the gear—just like your skin—so protecting it from UV rays with a cover is the best habit to adopt.

The transport covers we offer are high quality and meet these needs to ensure better gear longevity.

Properly protecting your foil during transport—by bike, car, or plane—is crucial, as most damage happens out of the water. Additionally, you're responsible if someone else gets injured by your foil in the street or on the beach. Using a cover helps avoid harm to yourself and others.

GONG foil covers

These different cover models have been designed to fit as many foil models on the market as possible, but please take the time to check the dimensions before purchasing to ensure compatibility.

GONG FOIL BAG
This is the perfect cover for transporting your disassembled foil and safely storing its various parts, whether for travel or everyday use.
The 10mm thick foam padding on all sides provides optimal protection for your foil.
The bag features multiple padded compartments to store several front wings or other accessories such as stabilizers, masts, and fuselages. There is also a pocket under the zippered flap for storing screws and your tightening tool.
Its various sizes allow it to accommodate and protect a wide range of foils. If you own multiple foils, choose your bag size based on the wingspan of your largest front wing, while also considering the size of your mast.
This is the ideal bag to protect and store, in a modular way, all parts of your aluminum and carbon foil setups—except for monoblock constructions.

GONG FOIL COVER MAST
This cover features 5mm thick foam to offer daily protection for your monoblock foil.
Velcro openings along the mast and fuselage make storage easier and ensure the product is held securely in place.
Available in different sizes from 70 cm to 109 cm to match the length of your mast. This cover does not protect the top plate.
An essential protective accessory that can be combined with our GONG FOIL PLANE BAG MANTA to fully protect your foil during transport, especially by boat.

GONG FOIL FRONT WING AND STABILIZER COVERS
These covers are quick and easy to use thanks to their Velcro systems: on the trailing edge for front wings, and on the leading edge for stabilizers.
They effectively protect your wings from everyday impacts during handling and transport, preserving their in-water performance.

Three models are available for front wings:

R: for X-Over foil models
T: for Curve, Fluid, Veloce, and Ascent foil models
H: for high-aspect foil models such as Curve H, Fluid H, Veloce H, Ypra Surf, Ypra Slalom, Ypra Race, and Sirus

All feature Tarpaulin reinforcements at the tips to protect and strengthen this friction-sensitive area.

Two models are available for stabilizers:

R: for X-Over, Curve, Fluid, Ypra Surf Freestyle, Ypra Freestyle, Ypra Slalom, and Ypra Race foils
H: for Curve H, Fluid H, Veloce H, and Sirus foils

All stabilizer covers have an opening at the leading edge to protect the trailing edge and maintain optimal hydrodynamic performance.

GONG FOIL PLANE BAG MANTA
The MANTA BAG is designed to protect the entire front assembly of your foil (front wing, fuselage, and stabilizer) in one piece, without risking damage.
Equipped with 5mm protective foam and reinforced ends, it will keep your gear safe wherever you take it.
When you purchase a complete aluminum V2 foil from GONG, it comes with a durable, well-organized transport bag for your sessions. However, many of you prefer to keep your foil assembled between sessions.

In that case, the Manta Bag is the solution to get back on the water quickly—with less setup time and more time to enjoy the ride.

This model is available in 3 sizes: M, L, and XL.
We recommend combining this cover with our GONG FOIL COVER MAST to fully protect your entire foil setup.

How to Maintain Your Boardbag

Sand, salt, and moisture clog and corrode zippers—the main cause of boardbag failure.

To extend your cover’s lifespan, we recommend rinsing the zipper regularly with fresh water, even if it's salt-resistant. The same care should be given to wetsuit zippers.

You can also use Zip Care on your zippers. This maintenance product is perfect for plastic and metal zippers. Its unique brush applicator allows you to apply the product between the zipper teeth and physically remove dirt, salt residue, and dust.
