We present to you, from surfer to surfer, 5 good reasons to expand your practice to surf foiling!
In 2016, Kai Lenny astonished the world of surfing by riding two waves after one takeoff, the potential of this then niche sport exploded into the mainstream. Today, with the phenomenal evolution of equipment, this potential has materialized for thousands of surfers. What was initially thought to be reserved for the sports elite has become accessible to everyone. And GONG has played a part in this by creating good foils at €299, for example. Connecting 2, 3, 4 or more waves from a takeoff has gone from dream to reality, and that's not the only good news!

More sessions!
The major advantage of surf foiling is having fun in conditions considered as small, or even totally uninteresting in regular surfing. Soft, small, and short waves that are disliked in surfing are sought after in surf foiling because they offer an easy launching ramp to connect to a wave forming offshore. The worst surfing conditions become the best in surf foiling, seriously boosting your stats! In some spots, the number of good surfing sessions is multiplied by 10 with a foil, without taking away from all those good surfing sessions!

More sensations!
The sensations are very intense in surf foiling thanks to lightning-fast accelerations. Sensations accessible to everyone because you don't have to drop into a huge wave to feel them. A knee-high wave will give you the same sensations as a head-high wave in regular surfing. More sensations with fewer risks, it's truly amazing.

Less crowds!
In surf foiling, you can take off on a soft close-out that nobody wants to catch a section far away thanks to the foil's speed, or wait for a reform, or pump out to connect. No need to position yourself inside a wave, taking all the risks to gain priority. Sessions are much less competitive at the peak because the peak extends across the entire spot when you're surf foiling. You can keep your distance while respecting priority rules.

More physical condition!
Not only does surf foiling significantly increase the opportunities to get in the water, but it also develops your physical condition due to the intensity required in these sessions. They are generally very physically intense because you don't need to wait for a set to take off, and because most waves are accompanied by a pumping phase to connect to another wave. So, you are constantly in action with a high level of physical engagement.

More spots!
We discover new spots whose potential is revealed with surf foiling practice. All it takes is a small breaking point to take off, and the endless rolling waves are yours. Some spots also reveal themselves at a tide too high for regular surfing but perfect for surf foiling. Add a wing to your surf foiling equipment, and the potential for spots doubles again!
