GEAR: THE GLIDE OF THE ZUMA!

The Zuma is the queen of pre-flight gliding for ultra-smooth take-offs when wing foiling and an efficient paddle for SUP foiling drops!

It owes its excellent glide to its slightly elongated shape, with a relaxed rocker and a round point nose that pushes very little water. Its relative length, the double concave under the nose and the ADS (Anti Drift Solution) fin guide the board in the axis for controlled takeoffs. A big advantage when you start because it is generally very difficult to control the trajectory and to have enough speed before flying.

The Zuma 2022 is even more fluid, especially at the tail, inherited from the Lethal which is a reference in terms of flow management in pre-flight. The board no longer sticks before flying. It’s really liberated and takes off 2 knots earlier. A considerable difference because we are less obliged to paddle, to overpower or to exhaust ourselves pumping. As soon as you row or take the wing you feel that the Zuma is just waiting to fly. It’s super nice and obviously efficient.

Two technologies!

We offer two full sandwich technologies on the Zuma:

• The Zuma Wood 2X is fully reinforced over the fiberglass stratification with a vacuum bonded wood sandwich and a super strong biaxial fiberglass. Fully, that is to say the deck, the bottom but also the rails unlike many “prestige” brands.

• The Zuma FSP 2X has a full “shell” built under vacuum with an extremely solid PVC (Airex) foam sandwich with a density of 80kg/m2. This density is 3 times higher than that of the EPS foam blanks of our competitors! Again, we cover the deck, the bottom but also the rails with a super solid 3mm shell!
